Well, obviously I'm delighted that Senacre, the area for which I'm a councillor in Maidstone,

has been selected for a government grant. I hope very much that the community is involved

in the spending of this money and has a say in how it was spent. To be honest with you,

the notification came as quite a surprise to me. I wasn't expecting it. I don't think anybody

was, but delighted we are. We, I say we, I'm talking on behalf of the residents of Senacre,

hope that it will be spent wisely in Senacre and help social cohesion.

One of the aspects of Senacre is that we don't have any sort of community centre, but

good luck to Senacre. I hope very much we can work together and build a better community.
