00:16Hi guys and welcome to the video. Today's video is going to be slightly different.

00:21We are driving the all new BMW X5.

00:24Now let me introduce the car a little bit.

00:26So this is the X5 X-Drive 40i which is the petrol variant.

00:31You also get a diesel which is the 30D.

00:35And this SUV weighs around 2.2 tons.

00:39It is powered by a 3-litre straight-six engine.

00:41It's a twin-scroll turbo engine that produces around 375 bhp of power, 520 nm of peak torque.

00:49And it comes mated to an 8-speed Steptronic gearbox.

00:53Now this gearbox is specially designed by BMW for this SUV.

00:58And in this video, we will talk about the auto park assist feature that you park your car.

01:05How does that work? And is it precise?

01:08Whether it detects the parking? Whether it will park or not?

01:11We will check out in this video.

01:13So, first of all, what you have to do is, very important, buckle up.

01:22There you go. Now it is saying that it is searching for a parking.

01:27We will start rolling the car a little bit and see if it finds a parking spot and it can actually park itself on its own.

01:36And if you are not wearing the seatbelt, this will not happen.

01:38It will give you a signal saying that seatbelt is required for this feature.

01:42So, safety is important. So, you have to put your seatbelt.

01:44Okay, there you go. It has searched a parking lot. It is saying over here.

01:53So, we need to select this option that says start reverse parking.

01:58And once I select it, I will remove my legs out.

02:02So, no input whatsoever from the steering wheel and the throttle or the brake.

02:08So, here we go. We select this, monitor surrounding and release brake.

02:13So, once I release the brake, notice what happens. I am not touching the steering wheel.

02:17Here you go.

02:20There is actually a pretty safe feature.

02:22And you can see over here, it is this parking spot that it has detected.

02:26There are pillars around.

02:32Again, see, no legs, no hands. It is going on its own.

02:49No brake input. I just kept my foot just in case.

02:52Okay. So, here we go. Parking complete. Vehicle is secured.

02:56Now, this feature is not only for parking, but it remembers the way you parked it.

03:01So, basically, if you are in a very tight parking space and you have reversed it,

03:06but you cannot remove it outside. So, again, what you can do is just simply,

03:11it will remember 50 meters and you can take the car out as well.

03:15So, it remembers the parking and it is a very, very useful feature.

03:20You can trust the car completely because there are sensors all around the car.

03:24And, yeah, now we go.

03:26We have parked the car securely.

03:28It is saying over here.

03:29You can see this is the front angle.

03:32And if you want to drive up right now, there is no car.

03:35So, you can just casually just drive up.
