A woman’s life has been thrown into turmoil after loan sharks (Ah Long) used artificial intelligence (AI) to create fake nude images of her in an attempt to extort more money—despite her having fully repaid the loan with interest.  The victim, a 36-year-old self-employed woman from Selangor known only as Wong, shared her ordeal at a press conference on Thursday (June 19), held with MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Seri Michael Chong and several other victims of loan shark harassment. 00:27Department, head Datuk Sri Michael Chong and other victims of loan shark harassment.

00:33Wong said she borrowed 15,000 ringgit in February from an individual named Brian to help with

00:40her business, but only received 10,250 ringgit in actual funds.

00:46She later repaid 13,500 ringgit in full, including interest.

00:51However, on April 5th, she began receiving AI-edited nude photos based on her own social media

00:58pictures and even images of her with a friend.

01:01The loan shark demanded an additional 10,000 ringgit and threatened to distribute the fake

01:06images if she refused to comply.

01:09He also threatened to kill her and her family.

01:11They're saying that he will kill my family one by one and let me know how suffering am I.

01:20They don't want the money, they want my life only.

01:22So this makes me very scared that it will be harmful to my friends and family that are not

01:28involved in this case.

01:30Also, my friends that took the picture with me also get involved with those fake naked pictures

01:37that will affect them.

01:39Wang said she lodged a police report that same day, but the threats did not stop.

01:44On June 3rd, she received another message demanding more interest payments.

01:50She also revealed that her photos and information were circulated online, along with false claims

01:56accusing her of fraud.

01:58Chong warned that loan sharks are now resorting to more aggressive and sophisticated tactics,

02:03including the use of AI-generated images to blackmail victims and terrorize their families.

02:09He urged the public to stay alert and report such incidents to the police immediately.
