Amid the escalation conflict between Israel and Iran, the 21 Philippine government officials who were in a study program in Israel were safely evacuated through neighboring Jordan, the Philippine Embassy in Amman said.

00:00The Philippine Embassy in Amman said that 21 Philippine government officials who were in a study program in Israel
00:11were safely evacuated through the neighboring country Jordan amid the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.
00:19According to a statement released on late Wednesday night, June 18th,
00:23the embassy said that 21 officials were met with Philippine Ambassador to Jordan, Wilfredo Santos,
00:29and other embassy officers at the King Hossein border.
00:33At the border, the evacuated group composed of nine mayors, four vice mayors, two party list representatives,
00:40two regional directors, and four dairy industry specialists of the Department of Agriculture
00:45were issued with transit visas and given necessary assistance at no cost to the Philippine government.
00:52The embassy stated that the evacuation effort was made possible through close collaborations
00:57with the Philippine embassies in Tel Aviv and Amman.

01:07will be going home soon in a scheduled flight in Manila this weekend.
