00:00With President Macron finally admitting, in his own words, that the situation is deteriorating,
00:06the government's laughable plan to smash the gangs lies in tatters.
00:11So will she now at last accept we need a removals deterrent so every single illegal immigrant
00:18arriving on these shores is immediately removed?
00:21Will she commit to that, yes or no?
00:24Mr Speaker, if they want to argue that 40,000 arrivals since July 24 are down to the scrapping
00:32of the Rwanda scheme, they need to explain why there were more than 43,000 arrivals in
00:37the same period starting in July 22 when the Rwanda agreement was in place.
00:42It is absolute rubbish, Mr Speaker.
00:47They lost control of our borders.
00:48We are getting control of our borders.
00:51He needs to apologise.
00:52I don't see how she has the brass neck to claim she's got it under control.
00:59When the numbers crossing the channel this year are the highest in history.
01:06She asked about the Rwanda deterrent, I'll repeat, she obviously wasn't listening to what
01:09I said earlier.
01:10The Rwanda scheme never started.
01:14When, when and indeed illegal immigrants in Calais said they were—
01:21Order!
01:22Order!
01:23Just do it.
01:24I want to hear the question and I'm sure all constituents want to hear the question and
01:28the answer.
01:29Christopher.
01:30Thank you, Mr Speaker.
01:31The Rwanda scheme never started.
01:33Illegal immigrants in Calais were saying before the election how much they wanted the Prime
01:37Minister to get elected because he would help them get here.
01:40When Australia started a similar scheme about ten years ago, it worked within a few months.
01:46Now, Mr Speaker, as a consequence of the government losing control, they are now accommodating growing
01:51numbers of illegal immigrants, many of whom cross the channel in asylum, hotels and flats.
01:57The Home Office's suppliers are now actively offering above-market deals to landlords to
02:04get hold of their properties to be used for illegal immigrants.
02:08In the meantime, hard-pressed young people here are unable to rent or buy.
02:13So why is this government prioritising housing for illegal immigrants above housing for our
02:20young people?
02:22So again, Mr Speaker, I gently say to the right honourable member opposite that under
02:28their watch, immigration increased fourfold until it reached almost a million in a single
02:33year.
02:34They also created the backlog, 400 hotels, which we have reduced to just over 200 hotels
02:41in the first 12 months of us being in government, Mr Speaker.
02:45One million pound a day spiffed up the wall because they were so incompetent.
02:51We're building the homes that they failed to deliver over 14 years of consecutive failure
02:57by their government.
02:58They should apologise while we get on with the job of rebuilding Britain.
03:02They should be creating a new facility.
03:03They should be making huge breadineers for the situation.
03:04They should be making huge donations for the system.
03:05They should be making huge donations for the world, and they should be making huge
