00:00What's your response to this U-turn from the government that there is now going to be
00:03a full-scale national inquiry?
00:08Good morning. Well, it is a humiliating U-turn for the government. And of course,
00:13the government isn't doing this because they want to or because they believe in it.
00:17They're doing it because they've been forced to. They've been forced partly by the imminent
00:21publication of the Casey report, but they've also been forced by the vote that we had scheduled on
00:27Wednesday of this week to set up a proper independent statutory inquiry. And because
00:33they were scared of that vote, they thought a load of Labour MPs might agree with us,
00:37Conservatives, and vote with us. They've decided in a panic to all of a sudden do this U-turn.
00:42Keir Starmer doesn't believe in this. We know what he really believes in, because back in January,
00:47when this first came out, he smeared, Keir Starmer smeared campaigners and people like me. He called
00:54us far right for calling for an inquiry. That was a disgraceful smear. And now he's just six months
01:01later doing exactly what we asked for. Now, look, this inquiry is really important because
01:06these crimes were deliberately covered up by people in authority over a period of years or decades.
01:13Senior police officers, local council leaders, council social services, the Crown Prosecution
01:19Service, they all deliberately covered up these crimes because the victims were mainly young
01:26white girls from often troubled backgrounds, for example, in care homes, whereas the majority of
01:30perpetrators were of Pakistani heritage. And they were more concerned about so-called community
01:37relations than they were about protecting young girls. That is absolutely disgusting. Not a single
01:42person who did that has been held to account for deliberately covering up these crimes.
01:47There is an offence called misconduct in public office. And I think those people who covered
01:51this up are guilty of that offence. And I would like to see those people who covered up these
01:55crimes prosecuted and sent to prison for what they did.
01:59So that's exactly what they were told.
02:01I would like to try three crimes and railroad擤은 from the
02:04OMANDA.
02:05So I was just about to try to stand to fight by people behind and är at the
02:19honorable being of control at peace in power. And I was just that answered me probably.
