00:00The Dutch government is advising parents not to allow children under the age of 15 to use social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, citing psychological and physical health concerns.
00:15The advisory also calls for children to only receive their first smartphone in their last year of primary school.

00:39They distinguish between messaging apps like WhatsApp and Signal and sites like Instagram and TikTok which experts say are made to be more addictive.
00:48Parents are also being advised not to allow any screen time at all until the age of two.
