At least four people died and three others are missing after an Eco car carrying nine passengers was swept away in a river in Gujarat's Botad district, an NDRF official said. Two people were rescued, while search operations are still ongoing. Botad district received 7.5 inches of rainfall in the last 24 hours, leading to the evacuation of 40 people downstream to a shelter home The gates of the Khambhada Dam in Botad district of Gujarat were opened on Tuesday due to a significant rise in water levels following incessant rainfall, exacerbating severe waterlogging across the region. A team of National Disaster Response Force has arrived in Botad to search for missing persons.  Inspector Vinay Kumar Bhati, Team Commander, 6th Battalion of NDRF, Vadodara, said, "Yesterday, a car with nine passengers was washed away. In this incident, four people died, two were rescued, and a search for the remaining persons will be carried out by NDRF today."
