00:00Hello and welcome to National World Fitba Talk. All things latest, lowdown on Celtic and Rangers as the transfer window is now in full swing, Ben.
00:11Activity starting to crank up following the return of Kieran Tierney to Celtic.
00:16Potentially two deals close to being completed over the next couple of weeks.
00:21You'd imagine Benjamin Nygren, Swedish international winger, and Callum Osmond, the young Fulham striker.
00:28Those deals pretty much seem like they're almost done and dusted.
00:33Pretty much, right. The Swedish winger coming in does look like that's pretty much done, certainly by the recent report, and Callum Osmond as well from Fulham coming in.
00:44But it remains to be seen whether he's actually going to come in the first team or whether he's actually going to fully win the goal.
00:50You would imagine that given the Celtic's lack of strikers will at least have a look at him.
00:54In the first term, Mississippi Valley obviously came in similar circumstances, so you would be Matt O'Reilly as well from that sort of level in.
01:02So you'd be hoping for somewhere with him, so he becomes quite well thought of there in training for the first team.
01:07And they look like the two most likely at the minute, but there's a few other underings as well.
01:12So probably a change in that for Fulham to go over this summer transfer window.
01:17It's become accustomed that they sometimes do their business a bit later, but they're doing it early this time around,
01:25which is probably more pleasing from a fan's point of view, just in terms of having the squad there ready to go for the start of cases.
01:31There's potentially a couple of outgoings as well.
01:33We've had reports in the last day or two that Nicolas Kuhn is wanted by RB Leipzig.
01:37It's a former club where he came through the academy system.
01:40Of course, he's still got the Premier League interest in the background.
01:43There's talk of a potentially ÂŁ15 million offer being prepared by Leipzig.
01:48Do you think he could be one that could potentially be heading outwards?
01:53I think every summer at Celtic there's probably likely to be an exit now to go in the way this transfer player model they've got going.
02:01So to justify that, they need to sell somebody almost to keep that moving.
02:06And out of the ones that are there currently, I don't think they can afford to lose Dyson Leipzig just yet.
02:10I think obviously you have got the likes at Armie Engels.
02:13I can't see him going so soon into being at Celtic.
02:16So Nicolas Kuhn is probably the one that fits in terms of making a profit on him.
02:19He's been there for a needed time, so he can do it at a decent level.
02:22So I don't think they'd want to go, don't they?
02:24They're obviously going to demand a sizable fee for him.
02:28But I think if anybody was to go, it would probably be him.
02:30And he's probably the most replaceable in terms of he has been quite inconsistent.
02:35He obviously had a really good first six months and then did well in the Champions League.
02:38But at the end of the season, Brendan Roder spoke about how his end of the season wasn't exactly brilliant.
02:43So I think he's probably the one that if he was to go, he's probably the one you'd be able to replace.
02:49Not simply, but easier than someone else.
02:52There's been lots of talk as well that Celtic really need a kind of new centre back this season.
02:56I think it's fair to say that Austin Trusty hasn't quite lived up to expectations that many predicted he might have last summer.
03:03There's talks ongoing with Hayato Inamura, who plays out in Japan.
03:10I'm not going to try and pronounce the TV plays for it right enough, but these talks sound like they're progressing really well at this moment in time.
03:16How important do you think it is that Celtic try and find a defender that's going to be able to come in and really kind of, you know, almost nail down a place alongside Cameron Carver-Bickers?
03:28Yeah, it is a position probably.
03:30They've got lots of options in, but maybe not a partner for Carver-Bickers, so to speak.
03:38As you said, they have been linked by a few players, but there have been nobody.
03:42Liam Scales has probably been the most regular, but hasn't necessarily nailed that down.
03:48I think they've got lots of quantity, but perhaps lacking in the quality department.
04:01I think that's what they'll look at going into the next season.
