00:00I've lived through three of them, and we weren't even allowed to flush the toilet.
00:07We had stickers with Batman on it saying, if it's yellow, let it mellow, if it's brown, flush it down.
00:18But that's how it was in the 70s and early 80s.
00:22So we've lived through the hosepipe bands often.
00:27Eventually, I don't remember growing up being so many bands and stuff like that,
00:32but because the weather's getting more extreme and extreme,
00:37you have rain that's so heavy, and then you have really dry spells,
00:41so there's no counterbalance in one of the two.
00:43Obviously, it was always raining a little bit of sun, but because the weather's so extreme now,
00:47you kind of just have to adapt to it, and probably a band might have to be away going forward.
00:52I mean, it's been torrential rain here for a few days,
00:57and then everyone says, oh, the sun's come out.
01:00We've got another little rain.
01:01We've got another cloud pan.
