Govt monitors Middle East crisis impact on oil prices

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro says on June 17, 2025 that the Department of Energy is closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East to determine its effect on oil prices. Castro also said the government would release fuel subsidies if the prices of crude oil would go beyond the $80 per barrel.
