Trump Asked, 'What Is Holding Up A Deal With Canada?' Right In Front Of Mark Carney

Speaking to reporters at the G7 Summit in Calgary, Canada, President Trump was asked what was holding up a trade deal with Canada.

00:00Mr. President, what is holding up a deal with Canada from your perspective?

00:13It's not so much holding up. I think we have different concepts. I have a tariff concept.

00:18Mark has a different concept, which is something that some people like.

00:22But we're going to see if we can get to the bottom of it today.

00:25I'm a tariff person. I've always been a tariff. Simple, it's easy, it's precise, and it just goes very quickly.

00:35And I think Mark has a more complex idea, but also very good.

00:41So we're going to look at both, and we're going to see what we're going to come out with something, hopefully.

00:46Do you think a deal is achievable within days, within weeks? Is there that kind of runway?

00:52Yeah, it's achievable. Both parties have to agree. Yeah, sure.
