00:00Hello everyone my name is Ali and I am a geopolitical analyst and in this video I
00:06will discuss the recent Chinese president visit at Kazakhstan to attend
00:11the second China Central Asian summit and we will discuss that how important
00:17that summit is for the Central Asian Republic and also for China and how this
00:22summit will play a very important role globally. So in this video we will cover
00:27four very important points. The first point is that we will analyze the
00:31geopolitical map of Central Asian Republic and obviously the China and its
00:36allies. The second point we will discuss is that we will briefly understand that
00:41what is China Central Asia summit because a lot of people have a lot of
00:47confusions about that summit so we will discuss that why it is important for
00:50China and for the Central Asian Republic. And the third very important point is
00:55that we will analyze some very important global newspapers who are providing their
01:01headings and who are basically giving news regarding to this recent Chinese
01:06president visit and how they are interpreting this visit according to
01:12their own lens. So we will also analyze those headings and we will also analyze
01:15all of these things. And the final and more important point we will discuss in this
01:20video is that how important that visit will be for the geopolitics of the region
01:26and for the world because we knew that on one side the Russian role in the
01:33Central Asian Republic is very dimming, it's dimensioning because Russia is so
01:39much busy in Ukraine war and we will analyze that how China is becoming a more
01:44powerful player in the region. So we are not going to waste our time. What we are
01:48going to do is that we will first analyze the map of the Central Asian Republics and
01:54we will see that how important it is. So we are seeing that this is Kazakhstan and
01:59this is China and this is Russia and Kazakhstan is basically located in a very
02:04important place. So we can see that it is bordering with China and it is also
02:09bordering with Russia and it is geopolitically very important for both
02:14countries and therefore China is trying to play its role in the region and China is
02:19trying to become a much powerful player especially in the Central Asian countries.
02:24But in this summit it is not China who is participating some of the other countries
02:29are also participating. We will discuss further and we will discuss that why this
02:33summit is very important for every country. So we are seeing that the China
02:41Central Asian Summit is a high level diplomatic platform where China engages
02:47directly with Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkomanistan. So
02:54these are the five countries which are C5 plus C, the China, to deepen
02:59political, economic and security cooperation. So we have to understand that
03:05this summit is not just about the Chinese economic means to get all of those
03:13economic means but this summit is also very important for China to make its
03:18presence in the region. Politically it wants to become much stronger played in the
03:24region, economically want to make itself much stronger and obviously militarily it
03:29wants to provide the security to the region so that it makes its impact in the
03:35region and it tries to influence all of the other players. So that's a very
03:39important factor which we are going to discuss further in the video. So that's
03:45what the summit is all about but I just also want to share some of the very
03:51important couple of other points according to that summit because the first
03:57thing we understand that they want to deepen their political economic and
04:00security cooperation. The second more important thing is that which I already
04:03mentioned that Xi Jinping's 2025 visit to Kazakhstan for second China Central Asian
04:09Summit signals Beijing's growing ambitions in the region. So China wants to
04:16show its muscles, China wants to expand its muscles in the region because on one
04:23hand it is trying to make itself much powerful country in East Asia and on the
04:29other hand we are seeing that China is trying to flex its muscle in even in the
04:34even with Russians and even with the Central Asian Republic. So it's a very
04:39important meeting and it's a very important point for all of the other
04:43countries. And now we will analyze that what the international newspapers the very
04:49important and incredible international newspapers are saying about that a
04:53President Xi visit to Kazakhstan and how they are interpreting all of these things.
04:59So before moving forward I just want to mention that the Chinese news, digital news
05:05media which is Xinhua News. I am going to first share their heading what they are
05:12basically saying and I just already give them the credit for that. So what Xinhua News is
05:18saying it is saying that Xi arrives in Astana for China Central Asia Summit. This is
05:24basically a general narrative and general wordings of of this of this incredible
05:30news channel. Basically it's a Chinese news channel. And the second most important
05:36thing which is Japan Times is saying so I am just quoting Japan's time now. What
05:41Japan Times is saying, Japan Times is saying that Xi visits Kazakhstan for talks with
05:46Central Asian leaders. So this is the narratives of these headings are gonna be
05:52very same. But the next thing which I have read in this article from the Japan
05:59news basically it was also from the same news and what they are saying is that
06:05they are saying that I'm sorry I have to remove this one yes. So what Japan Times is
06:15interpreting this visit. It is saying that China has sought to counter the US-led
06:20global order. A goal it shares with Russia. We knew that there is a new kind of
06:28partnership, a cooperation, the sky, the no sky limit, you know, the unlimited
06:37partnership happening between Russia and China and they want to counter the US and
06:42its allies. So this newspaper is basically interpreting that China wants to counter
06:49the US-led global order. A goal it shares with Russia obviously. In part with
06:54countering the global south. In recent months Xi has attended summit with regional
07:01blocs using meetings with countries from Latin America and Africa to push for closer ties.
07:06Which we obviously understand that President Xi meets with a lot of African leaders. He also
07:12meets with a lot of Latin American leaders and he wants to make China's influence more on
07:17Africa and also on Latin America. So it's a very important meeting also for China to make
07:25its impact much larger in Central Asian Republics. Which already China has a lot of influence but it
07:30wants to increase its influence in a much better way. The second most important point
07:36which this media news outlet is saying that China has also used rival groups to the G7
07:43such as the Brics club of nations named after early members Brazil, Russia, India, China and
07:50Saudi Africa. So we knew that on contrary there is another group which is G7 the
07:57great seven countries and we can say that on the other side China and Russia has also made
08:04their other group which belongs to the major five countries India, Brazil, South Africa, China
08:11and obviously Russia. And a lot of people are coming in China and Russia they are also inviting
08:17some other countries and welcoming a lot of countries so that they can cooperate economically,
08:23financially to make their goals and to reach their goals. So that's a very important interpretation
08:31of this Chinese present visit by Japan Times. I'm also going to mention a very important point which
08:41is mentioned by Mint News. So this is basically another news media outlet and what Mint News is saying is very important.
08:51So they basically are saying that historic influence over the former, the Russian historic influence on these republics have been undermined by President Vladimir Putin's war in Ukraine.
09:07So we know that President Putin right now is being very busy in the war, in Ukraine war and that's the reason why he's not focusing on the Central Asian Republics which were once
09:20part of Soviet Union and even after the collapse of Soviet Union, these Central Asian Republics,
09:27Kedatistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyz Khan, they were also relying on Russia. But now because of this Ukraine-Russia war, President Putin is not fully focused on these republics, China is right now becoming a very major player in this region. So that's a very important point.
09:46The other thing which I want to share with all of you is the geopolitical implications of this visit of President Xi at Kazakhstan and his meeting with the other leaders of Central Asian Republics. So we will now understand and we will now see that how these they are playing a very important and they are playing a very crucial role for every country and how the
10:15we are going to reinterpret and how we are going to reinterpret and how we are going to analyze all of these things. So the first point is very important. Let me make my screen much shorter and then I will read all of these points.
10:30So the five major geopolitical points which will in the future play a very important role are that first of all, it is shifting influence in Central Asia. So Chinese growing engagement in Central Asia as Russia faces challenges to the Ukrainian conflict, China is becoming very powerful.
10:50We recently see that Ukraine launched a very great campaign according to their point of view and they destroyed a lot of Russian strategic fighter jets, strategic fighter bombers to try to weaken Russia.
11:10And in response Russia and in response Russia also attacks on Ukraine and the conflict is obviously already has been escalated and both sides are fighting.
11:17But this war makes Russia busy and this war makes China's influence much grower and that's why these meetings of Chinese president with the Central European countries are playing a very crucial role.
11:37The second most important development, geopolitical development of this meeting can be and will be is that China and Kazakhstan are right now building alternative transport and trade routes connecting Asia to Europe, which is obviously the part of Belt and Road Initiative, China's economic corridor plan to transport their economic products, export and import the products from other countries and to make their economy much better.
12:05So it is a basic plan.
12:07That's a very important point.
12:08The third point of this Chinese president visit is that the energy and resource cooperation, obviously China wants to strengthen its partnership in oil, gas, uranium and minerals.
12:21We know that Kazakhstan has one of the largest uranium stockpiles and they have a lot of very rare earth minerals.
12:31So China is also trying to engage the Kazakhstan government to cooperate in all of these things to make its influence and to make its economy more stronger, which is already strong, but they want to make it more stronger.
12:48And the fourth point is a very crucial point, which I have already discussed, but I will discuss this point in some much deeper details.
12:56So strengthening China regional position.
12:59So with high level engagement and summits are expanding China long term, diplomatic, economic and political presence in Central Asia.
13:07So before moving forward, I just again want to go to the map, which is very important, which I have already showed earlier to all of you.
13:18So what this map is saying, the map is basically saying is that this is China and China wants to make its impact much stronger in Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, in Afghanistan, in Pakistan, in Kharagistan, in Uzbekistan and even in Russia.
13:40So it wants to make its influence much and much larger so that it makes more and more allies and more and more countries basically depend on China so that China can increase its power.
13:55And that's how the superpower, the rising superpower or the already superpower, the established superpower do these strategies to make more and more allies and to dependent more and more countries.
14:07So at the end of the day, they don't have any kind of issues and they have unlimited allies.
14:12And if they face any kind of issues or if the if the thought that any other country is making troubles for them, they can easily attack with the help of its allies.
14:21What America have done with its NATO allies in against Iraq in 2003 and some of the other countries.
14:28So that's how the global powers think.
14:31And more importantly, they also try to dependent.
14:36They also try to help other countries so that they dependent on these powers.
14:41So whenever they want something, these not powerful countries, medium powers or small powers countries can help these large powers so that they can serve all of their interests.
14:54But that's how the rising powers or the already established superpowers think.
14:58And we, from the last 10,000 years, we have seen that that's how the world works and that's how the global politics works.
15:07So that's why China wants to expand its region, expand its influence in the region.
15:13And we can see that right now it has a very amazing and strengthening relationship with the Russia and also with the central Republican states.
15:23And it wants to expand more and more so that it can flex its muscles and it can do whatever it wants to do just like America is doing all around the world.
15:32So that's basically the psyche of the rising power and what they want to do to achieve their goals.
15:39The final point, which is also a very important point and which I personally want to discuss is that China is basically shaping a multipolar global order.
15:50So a lot of people are talking about that we are still living in a unipolar world, but a lot of people are saying that no, we are not living in a unipolar world.
16:01The unipolar moment has been ended.
16:03Basically, unipolar order means that the world in which only one superpower belongs and one superpower can do anything and no one can challenge the superpower.
16:15which was the United States.
16:16So from 1991 to 2017, a lot of historians and a lot of geopolitical analysts thinks that that was the time, a 25 or 26 years gap in which only one country was a superpower, which was the United States.
16:32And something that is still America is a unipolar America, we are living in a unipolar world and America is the only superpower.
16:39But a lot of people think that no, we are in a bipolar world after 2017 since China is challenging the Americans and its allies.
16:51So that point plays a very important role for everyone.
16:56But what a lot of people are also saying that we are also going towards a multipolar global order.
17:03So this thing is debatable.
17:05But what we are seeing is that, yes, a lot of challengers, particularly China is challenging the United States and its strength and America is trying to contain China.
17:15But we are not going to discuss all of that in this lecture, we are going to discuss other lectures, but that's a very important point.
17:22So that's how the journal things are right now evolving in the region and they are playing a very important role.
17:33And it is also very important that Chinese President Xi will also make a speech at Astana.
17:40So in the upcoming hours, I'm also going to make a video that what President Xi is saying and how we can interpret his words and how they are going to impact the region.
17:53So you have to wait just a couple of hours, but watch this video, subscribe to this channel and share this video as much as you can so that I can make more videos, more current affairs, geopolitical and historic videos so that we can gain more and more knowledge.
18:08Take care of yourself.
18:09Goodbye from my side.
