00:00what's up this is Greaves and this is our dumpy little rental van from budget

00:16from SeaTac Airport we're out here on the family road trip tour it's a

00:21shockingly nice day for being April 3rd here in Chicago check it out man

00:28so here you are in the cockpit you know you've seen one you've seen a thousand

00:34this one's pretty nice though it's like they hit us with the 2020 it goes kind of fast I'm used to

00:40you know like when we get the sprinters and stuff like that they're your boys got kind of a lead

00:45foot they don't go very fast but yeah I do a lot of the driving my keyboard player pants also does

00:52a lot of the driving if you work for budget car rentals I do all of the driving ain't nobody

00:58ever touched this shit other than me it is solely me I deny everything I said earlier I was just

01:04trying to be cool if you work for budget if not we split this bit quite a bit but yeah I like to do

01:11the driving because it just it's boring in here dude so you know you get to at least control the

01:18radio when you're driving and I listen to horror books on loudest bitch too I crank the bass up too

01:27because I like to hear the oh I don't think everybody enjoys that but that's why I like to

01:33drive so I'm getting some digital reading done up here always got a co-pilot especially when you know

01:40we also if you work for budget this didn't happen but if you don't work for budget we took the back

01:45benches out and threw them in my shed at home because we didn't have enough room to get all this

01:51shit in here so there's not a lot of room back there so one of the comfier seats would be the

01:56front plus we got the love special I don't know how many of these I have bought in my life I think

02:02it's every tour but I always forget that I have like a pile of them at home but it's just a little

02:08power inverter that you can plug into your shit so you get your laptop into here you can charge your

02:13dildo like all the stuff that you need to have a successful tour you know you can do right here

02:19up here in the co-pilot station um you got your day quill if you're feeling like a bitch um you got

02:27a lighter for whatever you need a lighter for and pretty clean right now I'm not gonna lie to you

02:32this is I did come here and throw out two cups before you showed up just because you know we had

02:38guests we had company coming over we needed to look good so yeah it does smell pretty good in here

02:44I have a thing with smells so I want things to smell pretty good all the time and there was like

02:51uh incense it's no longer with us but it was like uh like a tobacco wood thing or something like that

03:01um funny thing about that is we played uh we played a spot in LA and we walked backstage and I was

03:08like oh it smells amazing back here and it you know I was talking with the guy and I was like hey

03:14who what a lot are you doing back here because I want that in my house and he gave me like a box of

03:20these uh incense so I brought one on the road and torched it in here and it still smells really good if

03:26you work for budget car rental that shit didn't happen this is factory smell dude it's factory smell in

03:32here first of all I think I know that you can do that group playlist thing but I've never done it

03:37um 41 years old even though I look like a young ass child I don't know how a fucking playlist works

03:44like that um also old school if I'm driving fuck you we're listening to my horror books that's how

03:51it's going I think sometimes like after the shows especially in like the bigger like sprinters and

03:56stuff we'll do like you know we'll pass it around and stuff like that um my homie chris webby has like

04:03a really nice uh sprinter that's got like subs in it and stuff like that so we'll do you know it's

04:09kind of like demo power hour after some shows if everyone's feeling pretty frisky they'll like pay

04:13play a lot of stuff that they're working on and and shit like that but you know you're doing music

04:20all day you're you're beating yourself up with music I don't really listen to that much on the road

04:27you know like I listen to a lot of last podcast on the left um and I listen to like a lot of horror

04:32true crime books and stuff um you know if a record drops that we're excited about and stuff on the

04:38road we'll kind of bump it but it is generally like we did the whole drive from Columbus the other

04:43day like pretty quiet so people can nap I'll show you the nap there is a nap there's a little bussy bunk

04:49back there we'll show you all right so on this side we have the coveted costco multivitamins

04:57you have to take these when you're on tour with us because if you get sick and you get everybody sick

05:03we're gonna beat your ass so uh everyone gets gummied up every day when you get into the van like

05:10little kids we're just putting I don't give kids you get these that's what you get

05:16um ozium because once again with the smell stuff I don't know this stuff is really intense but just

05:23in case we got that um there's nothing really there's my glasses over there you got this t-shirt

05:30from my homie mr. dibs shout out mr. dibs you're crazy and I love you thank you for the t-shirt um

05:35inside here you know it's your standard um all right so in here you have most of the people

05:43you know cursey and tico they're gonna sit right here so we're all just kind of here but if you are

05:51feeling tired you know you got the little you got the little bunk back here which with these ones you

05:57can see there's a gap so I just took some plywood from my shed and threw it down there um but you can

06:03and we do lay down there quite a bit when we started this tour we drove all the way from seattle to

06:09toronto which is a hell of a haul um so yeah this thing I used a lot this I got this on amazon for

06:16like 50 60 bucks that's like a three inch memory foam and it fits the sprinter bunks like like the

06:23sprinter seats perfectly so it kind of like turns it into a bunk which is great for those things um this

06:31was kind of a trial to see if it works in here it kind of does um so yeah you know I'll drop a link

06:38in the chat if you're looking for that and you could go ahead and swoop one of those up this

06:43one's light which is why we're doing this one so you know there's only four people in this van right

06:48now um and you know my pants and I pretty much do uh all the driving so tico and cursey are kind of

06:55kicking it back here um just kind of minding their own fucking business sometimes someone will crawl

07:02back here but yeah this is a really light one man like this it's a decent market for us but it's not

07:09our greatest market so definitely trying to keep costs low um get everybody in here we've been doing

07:14airbnbs which is another nice thing with this like this will fit in a regular parking spot if you get

07:19like a sprinter and stuff you can't you know you're parking at airports and stuff like that because it's

07:25just you can't fit in parking garages and stuff so this does make it a little easier when we're just

07:29ripping around trying to save a couple bucks so yeah all right now I don't know why I got the

07:38blanket over all the stuff as if someone's just gonna see a blanket and be like oh yeah there ain't

07:43shit back there um but I do right now so the blanket's over here right now it's just all merch I did take

07:49all the gear in we take it in every night it's just it's happened before several times and we're not

07:55doing it again so we bring in everything that we need to get you know the show done this is shockingly

08:02harder to get this off than I wanted it to be but yeah just a bunch of merch we have a new shipment

08:07coming in in Minneapolis um you know but we're traveling with lights and gear we have keyboards and

08:16then we have like a playback rig um that I designed which is pretty cool um because normally you know

08:23those things are bigger than we need them to be so I was able to kind of come up with a cool

08:29little situation to get it all into three years so we're able to travel pretty lightly and still put

08:35on the show you know with lights and you know full playback um from us you know I think pants has been

08:42like number one Tetris boy on this one just because I'm wearing so many hats I'm like settling I'm walking

08:48you know at the end of the venue it's like I'm packing up he'll take this get this in the the

08:53van truck whatever you want to call it and then you know I gotta go chase down money and settlements

08:59and VIP stuff and you know all that fun stuff so pants has pretty much been the Tetris Lord it's not

09:05now it's not that bad when all the merch showed up and we hadn't sold any yet it was a little rough

09:11um but yeah it's it's it's pretty tame we're losing about like a box or two a day so the burn

09:17rates good thank you Midwest for buying all that merch um yeah it's I I am actually kind of shocked

09:26that we could do you know we could do a full run without re-upping for like a two-week run in one

09:31of these things without a trailer which is pretty crazy so I'm stoked on it all right this is um

09:38budgets uh rental van unless you work for budget this is my personal van I don't know what the

09:44fuck y'all seen or or know about this van um I'm Greaves um we are currently on the family road trip
