00:009-0-9, 9-10 on rotation, a 4-10 start, and how about this?
00:04Opened up overnight as a favorite here for Arizona, minus 120.
00:07That's actually gathering a little bit of steam here, Tom.
00:09Minus 134s, minus 132s, minus 135s out there across some betting landscapes,
00:14and a total, which opened up at 8-1⁄2, excuse me, still sits at 8-1⁄2.
00:19Padres, Diamondbacks, the resurging Diamondbacks here, Tom.
00:22By the way, I always love to look at that lineup on a day-to-day basis, man.
00:25I do.
00:26Oh, yeah.
00:27A lot of juice in that lineup.
00:30We have – this is an appetizer of things to come for one of the segments
00:35that we close out the show with when it comes to pitching matchup
00:38or pitching props, I should say, for this matchup.
00:41But I like the Padres, and the Padres should have won yesterday's game.
00:45They really should have.
00:46Now, we can say that their lineup is going to be weaker today.
00:48Jackson Merrill probably not going to be playing since he left yesterday early.
00:52Merrill Kelly has been super solid for the Diamondbacks,
00:54as he really has been for a number of years at this point.
00:56An ERA right over three, and XFIP right at three-and-a-half or just below that.
01:01Strikeouts are decently there from a 24.4%.
01:04Home runs are less than one.
01:05Keeps the ball down, 46% ground ball rate.
01:08Hard contact rate at only 34%.
01:10Nick Pavetta going on the other side for the Padres.
01:12Kind of the same situation for him.
01:13We're getting strikeouts for him at 26.9%, which I certainly love.
01:17XFIP is manageable at 3.62%.
01:18Again, he can keep the ball down at times with the medium contact, the fly balls.
01:23Slight issue for him at 47%.
01:25And I mean, he keeps the ball down in terms of keeping the damage down overall.
01:28When it comes to lineups, I want to say that the Diamondbacks lineup is the side to take if you had to pick today.
01:35Because the Padres lineup have not been hitting, plus the injuries that they're dealing with.
01:39Corbin Carroll, Quetel Marte, Gab Moreno, Eugenio Suarez.
01:44If Randall Gritchick is in there, Josh Naylor, Alec Thomas, Lourdes Goriel, even Perdomo.
01:50All those guys, 179 or higher when it comes to ISO since the middle of May.
01:54There is a lot of run scoring potential from the Diamondbacks.
01:57But I still like the Padres, which we'll get to later.
