00:00An unexpected medical emergency caused a car to plow into a group of pedestrians in Brinchang,
00:11Cameron Highlands, around noon on Sunday. Cameron Highlands OCPD Superintendent Azri Ramli said the
00:1822-year-old driver was heading from Brinchang towards Key Farm when he suffered a seizure,
00:24causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The car veered off the road and struck four pedestrians,
00:31a 24-year-old man and three girls aged 2, 8 and 10. All sustained minor injuries and were treated
00:38at Hospital Sultana Hajja Khalsam before being discharged. Superintendent Azri said the driver,
00:45who has a history of epilepsy, had no prior traffic offenses and tested negative for drugs.
00:51A traffic summons has been issued. He also urged the public not to circulate unverified information
00:57and stressed the importance of relying on accurate official sources.
