Gangtok: Preparation underway to welcome Kailash Mansarovar Yatra pilgrims

Gangtok (Sikkim), June 15, 2025 (ANI): First batch of pilgrims will soon reach Gangtok for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Preparations are going on for their welcome.

00:00Cheshalkabad, we are going to again starting this Manasvarava Yatra, Kailas Manasvarava

00:25Yatra. Then we have made all the required arrangements for all Yatris and Ushko liaison officers,

00:35two liaison officers, they are coming from Ministry of External Affairs, then supporting staff are

00:40also going from ITBP side. These Yatris, they are going to reach Gangtok. They have already reached

00:48Delhi. Their visa formalities, they are going to complete it. They are reaching here in Gangtok

00:54and 15th. After reaching here, there is a five days acclimatization program is there,

01:02because they are coming from low altitude areas. This is the formality, required formality. So

01:08five days, they are going to stay in Sikkim. First day, their stay has been arranged in Gangtok,

01:14in Senaltu Hotel. That is a good one, good hotel, very good one, good hotel. They are going to stay

01:20one day here. The total is at 6,000 feet altitude. Then after that, they are going to proceed 17th

01:28mile. That is at some 12,000-12,500 feet altitude. 17th mile, they are going to stay for two days.

01:36Then last two days, they are going to stay at Saritang. That is at 14,000 feet altitude. Two days,

01:43again, they are going to stay there. Right from Bagdogra to this place, we have arranged ambulance and

01:49required medical facilities. We have arranged all the stay places. Their stay places, we have arranged

01:57two doctors. Then nearby PHC is there. Even Army, ITBP, hospitals have also been informed to provide

02:07medical facilities if there is any emergency to these yatra. All the facilities we have arranged.

02:13At Gangtok, they are going to stay in a hotel. Then 17th mile, that one accommodation, we have

02:20already developed for only for this Kailash Manasarova Yatra that is ready. Then we are going

02:26to accommodate them in that accommodation. Okay.
