New Delhi, 2025 (ANI): Former Ambassador and Diplomat Ashok Sajjanhar decoded the latest escalation between Iran and Israel, as both countries exchanged airstrikes flaring up tensions in West Asia. He said “Iran and Israel targeted each other with strikes early... It is very disturbing and deeply worrying. Although Israel has carried out similar attacks in the past targeting nuclear sites in West Asia, such as Iraq in the 1980s and Syria later on this is by far the biggest strike it has undertaken. There is a serious risk of the conflict escalating, and if that happens, it could have major global consequences. It would be problematic not just for India, but for the entire world, as the prices of oil, gas, and energy could surge dramatically."
00:00It is very disturbing. It's very worrying because although Israel has hit in the past also at nucleosides in West Asia, it did that against Iraq in the 1980s, then it did against Syria also.
00:19But this is by far the biggest strike that it has undertaken. And there are dangers. There is a very serious risk of this conflict expanding. And if that happens, then of course it will be problematic for India, problematic for the world because the prices of oil, gas, energy, they will go up.
