00:00My dad's name is Rameshjand Patel, British national. He came here last Tuesday, 4th of June, just for nine days. He just wanted to come to eat fruit, Jambuda fruit. And yeah, he didn't come back home.
00:30I didn't have here. This is the first trip where I've spoken to him three or four times within a week. But when he called me on Tuesday, video called me, I was working. And I thought I called him back. I'm calling back. And I never was able to. Because I just got busy with work. But my babi spoke to him yesterday. What is it? It's a Saturday today. She spoke to him on Thursday when he boarded the plane.
00:54What was the conversation situation?
00:56Thursday morning, he rang me. And then he said to me, like, Kajal, everything is OK. Weight is OK. Everything you'll say. And I said, that's fine. Don't worry about it.
01:05And I even messaged on both. He had two phones with him. And I messaged him, Jesse Krishna, hello. Make sure everything is OK with you. And all your belongings are fine. And safe journey, flight, everything.
01:18And then he said, I won't ring you again. I said, that's fine. You just relax. Don't worry about it. I update everyone at home, like them, that you are safe in the plane.
01:27And then he still didn't think. And he just rang me again, saying, I'm in the plane safely. He's on time and everything. I said, OK, that's a safe journey. And we'll see you in the evening.
01:39And the day before, because I know he was coming, his favorite shark was Tuvenu shark. So I even made for him that he's coming. And he was looking forward to eat fish and chips as well that day. You know what I mean?
01:50He just came to have the fruit. Yeah, just for that. He'd only been, he'd only come, he came in January. He comes every year to India. He loves India.
02:00This is, you know, and he's got a house in Gujarat, near Borsad. So him and mum, they open the house and come here for six weeks to two months, you know, have a tiffing service and just enjoy their weather here.
02:14Because obviously in London, it's cold during that time. And this time he just wanted to come back just to eat the food.
02:20That's why he said to us, everyone, that I'm going, I'm going, I'm going. I said, Dad, it's too hot to go. Don't go. Mum didn't want him to go.
02:28And then he goes, tell mum, can I go, can I go? I want to go. You know what I mean? I said, no, Dad, it's too hot.
02:34And then he said, no, I want to go. I said, OK, you just go. Full your wish, what you want to eat. You know what I mean? But he, I don't know, he didn't come back.
02:42He was God's calling. He was God's calling him. He wanted to come here. He loved this country and he, he died here.
02:52This, it was meant to be. It was meant to be.
02:56Air India has said that we give the compensation to the family.
03:03The compensation is not going to bring him back.
03:06I give the money, but give my dad. That's why I'm just saying it anyway.
03:10But no one's going to give that.
03:13Money's not going to replace the life.
03:17Even yesterday when we were trying to get our booking to come here,
03:22Air India was an option and I said, I'm not coming on Air India.
03:26I can't, we can't lose five of us have travelled to come here
03:29to say our farewell. We've left up both our children.
03:32Both children are by themselves. They're home as well.
