Churachandpur (Manipur), 14 June ANI: In the serene hills of Churachandpur, home to the Kuki tribe, stands a school that redefines education, empowerment, and inclusion. The Malsawm Initiative (TMI), a beacon of hope since 2011, began with just 15 children and now supports over 50 children and persons with disabilities (PwDs). More than a school, TMI offers dignity, care, and a future of possibilities. With support from the Wipro Foundation, and through braille, sign language, and personalised learning plans, it extends its impact beyond classrooms — into homes, hearts, and communities. Children like Tyson, Tina, and little Mawi are living testaments to resilience and hope. One child stood unassisted for the first time after 11 years of therapy. Another, once confined to a wheelchair, now walks on her own. Their remarkable progress reflects not just medical milestones, but the transformative power of care, patience, and unwavering belief. In Churachandpur, love speaks louder than barriers, and at The Malsawm Initiative, every child’s voice, dream, and step forward is heard, valued, and celebrated.
