Summary

God Honest Truth is a Messianic Ministry based in Western North Carolina. Our goal is to teach the truths of Yahweh’s word to anyone seeking to further their education and walk in faith. We believe in the inerrancy of scripture and that scripture alone, not any church decree or any word of man, can define what is and is not salvation. We will always strive to do Biblical things in Biblical ways instead of allowing the traditions of men to get in the way of scripture.

00:00In this video, we open the scroll on the Sixth Commandment, a commandment that's been misquoted
00:07more times than we can count.
00:09You've heard it said, Thou shalt not kill, but that's not what scripture actually states.
00:16And this mistranslation has actually led to mass confusion and misunderstanding over the
00:23years, whether it be in courts, in battlefields, in sermons, etc.
00:29Some have used it to speak against self-defense.
00:32Some have used it to justify pacifism.
00:36But in this video, we'll see that it's not what Yahweh meant, not even close.
00:41So join us for this teaching on the Sixth Commandment, Thou shalt not kill or Thou shalt not murder.
00:48Stay tuned.
00:59All right, so this teaching or episode is going to be all about the Sixth Commandment
01:11and our continuing series on the Ten Commandments.

01:51You'll also see the transcript as well if that so happens to be of benefit to you.
01:56But it's all available for you right there on our website at GodHonestTruth.com.
02:00And of course, like always, we provide a convenient link to that article post down below in the
02:06description.
02:07And that should be there whether you're watching on a video platform or an audio podcasting
02:12platform.
02:12That link should be down there in the description all the same.
02:17The sixth commandment is pretty well ingrained in most people's minds.
02:21It's one of the more shorter commandments, as it were.
02:25And it's the pretty much the first of the short commandments.
02:30And here is the King James version, which I grew up with and probably a lot of you grew up
02:36with as well, this is really nostalgic to have those up there in the King James rendering.
02:41But the command itself states from the translation we use nowadays, you do not murder.
02:48And that's the commandment that comes from Exodus chapter 20, verse 13.
02:53Now here, if you're watching on video, you can see all the translations, the English translations
03:00that came before the King James version.
03:03Of course, the Wycliffe being the first or the first complete Bible anyways.
03:08But the Wycliffe says, thou shalt not slay, which is much more different than the kind
03:15of language we use nowadays.
03:16But the rest of them, the Tyndale, which came before the King James and the King James,
03:21well, let's just be blunt.
03:24The King James is pretty much about 75, 80 percent just a copy of the Tyndale anyways.
03:28But Tyndale, like the King James, like the Coverdale, like the Great Bible, like the Geneva Bible,
03:34and like a lot of other translations, it states, thou shalt not kill.
03:40But is that actually what it says?
03:43Just killing in general for any old purpose?
03:46Is that what it's really trying to prohibit here?
03:49Well, the word we got here for either slay or kill or murder is Hebrew word.
03:55And that is Strong's 87523, the Hebrew word, rasach.
04:01And that means, according to a lot of biblical usage from Blue Letter Bible, to murder, slay, or kill,
04:09like we've just saw from those various translations.
04:13But it refers to, and sometimes in Scripture, premeditated, accidental as an avenger, slayer,
04:19to be slain, to murder, assassinate, murder, or assassin.
04:22From Strong's definition, the entry they have here means to dash in pieces, to kill,
04:29especially to murder, to put to death, to kill, et cetera, et cetera.
04:34Here's your Brown Driver Briggs entry for rasach.
04:38Rasach.
04:40Brown Driver Briggs has it, well, pretty much the same way,
04:42meaning murder, slay, murder, slay with premeditation, slay as avenger, slay as a manslayer,
04:47slay, without intent, with intent, assassinate, et cetera, et cetera.
04:51And here's your Justinius' Hebrew lexicon.
04:54And they all pretty much say the same thing, just kind of usually put it in a little bit different
04:59way of phrasing it, I guess you could say, with some different information there.
05:05But like always, if you want the full entry for each of these various lexicons and dictionaries,
05:10go to our website, check on the notes that we have provided for you, and it's all free of charge.
05:16Here's your Jastro's Dictionary of the Targums for rasach, and your Klein Dictionary entry.
05:22And again, I pretty much got the same thing, to slay, murder, slay, murder, commit suicide even.
05:28Of course, usually, the full entry in Jastro's really doesn't mean to commit suicide so much
05:35as it is to cause the death of someone other than yourself, to put it that way.
05:43But it technically can mean commit suicide.
05:47But here's some of the differences and the nuances between these two concepts of kill and murder,
05:53just to try to make it more clear as we go on and discuss whether or not this command means
06:00do not kill in general or do not murder specifically.
06:04Just as a refresher and to bring it to the forefront of your mind, you probably already know this,
06:08but just to say it explicitly, kill is the act of causing death to someone.
06:16Obviously, right?
06:17Or even causing death to something like an animal.
06:20Like you're going to have food for supper or something.
06:25Murder, on the other hand, is the intentional and unjustified act of causing death to someone.
06:32Generally, to someone who is innocent or does not deserve it.
06:38Kill may be legal or illegal, while murder almost always is illegal.
06:44Killing may or may not involve intent to cause death.
06:48It could just be a self-defense thing that just pops up.
06:51It could be accidental.
06:53But murder almost always involves intent to cause death, premeditation, stuff like that.
07:00Kill may be morally justified, such as in the case of self-defense.
07:07It is morally justified to take the life of someone.
07:11When you're hungry and you want to eat, Scripture does not forbid eating meat.
07:15So, of course, then you have to kill an animal.
07:19And it's morally justified to kill an animal for food.
07:22However, murder is generally and just about always unjustified, morally speaking.
07:30So, there's some of the various nuances between kill and murder.
07:35But generally, in a nutshell, murder is taking the life or causing the death of an innocent
07:41or someone who doesn't deserve to die.
07:45Now, to put this in an entire context of the entirety of Scripture,
07:51we just look at that one verse and it says,
07:53Do not kill.
07:54We would come to the conclusion and think that, well, maybe it's saying,
07:57Don't kill anyone or anything for any reason whatsoever.
08:01And this is the kind of thinking that has led to a lot of false doctrines,
08:06especially a lot of these pacifist doctrines.
08:09And it's just not true when it comes to the context of Scripture.
08:13And hopefully, we'll be able to show that to you tonight.
08:17And by the end of this teaching, hopefully, you're going to understand that it's okay
08:20to defend yourself, even in a lethal manner.
08:25If someone is trying to harm you or an innocent, someone you love, family, friend,
08:30or even just an innocent bystander, that you protect them by taking someone else's life,
08:36if it so comes to that, and it's only in extreme circumstances.
08:40But if that should arise, then it is justified according to Scripture.
08:46Because that would not be murder.
08:48Murder, however, is not justified according to Scripture.
08:51But, before we get off on a tangent, let's go back to this whole thing.
08:56When it comes to the entire context of Scripture,
09:00let's look at some of the things that Scripture actually tells us to do,
09:05whereas the Sixth Commandment is something that's telling us not to do.
09:09So, let's see if we can understand this a little bit better.
09:11We look back at Deuteronomy 25, verse 19.
09:16Therefore, it shall be when Yahweh your Elohim has given you rest from your enemies all around
09:21in the land which Yahweh your Elohim has given you to possess as an inheritance,
09:25that you blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under the heavens.
09:29Do not forget.
09:32Now, this is where Yahweh is telling them that when they come into the Promised Land,
09:35that when they get there, don't forget to blot out Amalek.
09:40Okay, that's an idiom that we don't really use in English nowadays, especially here in America.
09:45We don't say we're going to go blot someone out.
09:49Maybe if you're in a mafia, but not really.
09:53Anyway, so what does this Hebrew idiom actually mean?
09:56Well, from this context, you can kind of start to get it, but to be more specific,
10:01to hit the nail more on the head, as it were,
10:03let's look at 1 Samuel 15, verse 3.
10:061 Samuel 15, verse 3.
10:10Now go, and you shall strike Amalek, and put under the ban all that he has,
10:15and you shall not spare them, and put to death from man to woman,
10:21from infant to nursing child, from ox to sheep, from camel to donkey.
10:26So now they're actually in the land, and they have a king.
10:29This is King Saul.
10:30And Yahweh is telling him to go and strike Amalek.
10:34And what does he mean by strike Amalek, or blot out the remembrance of Amalek?
10:39He's telling them to go and put to death everyone of the Amalekites.
10:45All the men, all the women, all the infants, all the nursing children,
10:52all the livestock from the ox to the sheep and camels and donkeys,
10:56to put them all to death.
10:59So this is a type of death that is ordered by Yahweh himself.
11:06So it's justified for them to go out and take the lives of these people and these animals,
11:13because Yahweh told them to do so.
11:16Now the Amalekites were not innocent.
11:19So this is not the taking of the life of an innocent person or an innocent people.
11:24This is taking of the life of someone who is guilty.
11:28The entire race of people, the Amalekites, were guilty.
11:33And Yahweh says, go kill them.
11:34Wipe them out.
11:36Of course, as we know, Saul didn't do it, and he kind of spared all the good stuff and tried to keep it for himself.
11:41But it didn't turn out well for him.
11:43He had the throne taken from him and given to Dawid.
11:46So we won't get into that, but you probably know the story.
11:50But anyways, the point is, we're told here that Yahweh commanded the killing of the Amalekites.
11:56So it was morally justified for them to go out and kill the Amalekites.
12:02Now this word, Ratzach, in Hebrew, that's used in the Sixth Commandment,
12:07It refers specifically to premeditated or unjust killing of the innocents.
12:13Not just the, I'm sorry, how do I put this?
12:17Not just the general killing.
12:19It's the premeditated death of innocent people.
12:24And it actually doesn't even refer to accidental death.
12:27This is something that is actually specifically spelled out in Scripture.
12:32There's a difference between intending to kill someone and accidentally killing someone.
12:38And there are different ways of handling each of those situations.
12:43For instance, we look at Exodus chapter 21, verses 12 through 14.
12:47He who strikes a man so that he dies shall certainly be put to death.
12:52But if he did not lie in wait, but Elohim delivered him into his hand,
12:56then I shall appoint for you a place where he is to flee.
12:59But when a man acts presumptuously against his neighbor to kill him by treachery,
13:04you are to take him even from my slaughter place to die.
13:08So here we can see a distinction that's being made in Scripture
13:11between someone who kills someone intentionally
13:15and someone who kills someone unintentionally.
13:18Difference between murder and manslaughter, as it were,
13:22kind of distinction we make nowadays.
13:24But we'll go on and we'll look at Numbers chapter 35, verses 16 through 25.
13:31But if he has stricken him with an instrument of iron so that he dies,
13:35he is a murderer.
13:37The murderer shall certainly be put to death.
13:40And if he has stricken him with a stone in the hand by which one could die,
13:44and he does die, he is a murderer.
13:47The murderer shall certainly be put to death.
13:49But if he pushes him suddenly without enmity,
13:53or throws an object at him without lying in wait,
13:56or uses a stone by which a man could die,
13:59throwing it at him without seeing him so that he dies,
14:03while he was not his enemy or seeking his harm,
14:06then the congregation shall judge between him who struck someone
14:09and the revenger of blood according to these right rulings.
14:14So again, they're making a distinction between premeditated and non-premeditated,
14:20accidental killing.
14:22Whereas the premeditated side of things,
14:25that kind of killing is regarded as a murder.
14:30You can see it right here in plain English,
14:33as it were in this translation anyways.
14:35But then they make the distinction between someone who accidentally kills someone,
14:38and they didn't actually mean to.
14:41The murderer, on one hand, is to be put to death,
14:44but the one who accidentally kills is to be brought before the congregation,
14:48and they're to judge accordingly, as it were.
14:52Like we said, we go back and we look at the distinction that the entirety,
14:57the entire context of Scripture makes.
15:00And there's a difference between killing in general,
15:03and murder, the taking of the life of innocent people.
15:07And I'm going to go ahead and say it from my stance,
15:13the way I see things is that all life is precious according to Yahweh,
15:17and that's because we are made in the image of Yahweh himself,
15:22or at least the first man was,
15:24and we're made in the image of those who came before us.
15:26So at least by descent and by linkage that way,
15:30we're made in the image of Yahweh.
15:33We look at Genesis 1, verses 26 through 27,
15:37And Elohim said,
15:39Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness,
15:42and let them rule over the fish of the sea,
15:44and over the birds of the heavens,
15:46and over the livestock, and over all the earth,
15:48and over all the creeping creatures that creep on the ground.
15:51And Elohim created the man in his image.
15:54In the image of Elohim, he created him.
15:58Male and female, he created them.
16:00And then also at Genesis 9, verse 6,
16:03Whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood is shed.
16:07For in the image of Elohim, he has made man.
16:10So here we see the preciousness of life,
16:15and why humans are so prized above all else,
16:20all of the other creation,
16:22above animals, above birds, above fish, above everything,
16:26is because we were made,
16:28at least originally, if nothing else,
16:31were made in the image of Yahweh,
16:35or in the likeness,
16:36whatever you want to put it.
16:37But that's why human life is so precious.
16:42Now all life is contained in the blood,
16:45exactly, and we have blood,
16:46it's like animals have blood,
16:47but animals were not made in the image of Yahweh.
16:51We were.
16:53And this is something,
16:54and it extends more than just,
16:57well, how do I put this?
17:00This sixth commandment about do not murder
17:02extends more than just to adults,
17:06and grown people in wars,
17:10and the justice system,
17:11stuff like that.
17:12It also extends on down
17:14to the unborn child, even.
17:19And we'll look at that,
17:21just so you have it in front of you.
17:23This really hits home
17:24when it comes to the issue of abortion.
17:27We look at Exodus chapter 21,
17:29verses 22 through 25.
17:32And when men strive,
17:34and they shall smite a pregnant woman,
17:37and her children come out,
17:39yet there is no injury,
17:40they shall certainly be punished accordingly,
17:42as the woman's husband lays upon him.
17:45And he shall give through the judges.
17:48But if there is injury,
17:49then you shall give life for life,
17:51eye for eye,
17:52tooth for tooth,
17:52hand for hand,
17:53foot for foot,
17:54burn for burn,
17:55wound for wound,
17:56lash for lash.
17:59So here,
18:00if two men are fighting
18:01and struggling with each other,
18:03and there's a pregnant woman there,
18:05and the pregnant woman gets hit,
18:07and there's no damage to her
18:09or the child,
18:10whatnot,
18:11then the woman's husband
18:12will determine the fine,
18:14and they'll pay the fine,
18:16and that'll be it.
18:18But,
18:19if they're striving and fighting
18:20against each other,
18:21her child that she's pregnant with
18:26is miscarried,
18:29and she had,
18:30the child dies,
18:32well,
18:32that is precious life,
18:34and it should be given life for life,
18:36as it says here.
18:37Life for life,
18:37eye for eye,
18:38et cetera,
18:38et cetera.
18:39So,
18:40even the unborn child
18:42is considered
18:43murdered at that point,
18:45because his life
18:47was taken from him.
18:49And we actually have
18:50an entire episode
18:51on the issue of abortion
18:52if you want to go back
18:54in the on-demand archives
18:55and check that out.
18:56But this sixth command
18:58to do not murder
18:59extends all the way
19:00to the unborn,
19:01and it even goes up
19:03into the young child's life,
19:07the,
19:07how do you say,
19:09infant or toddler,
19:11that kind of age
19:12right there, too.
19:13So,
19:14it's not just
19:14the unborn children,
19:15it's not just
19:16grown humans,
19:17but also
19:18the in-between.
19:20We see various things
19:21throughout Scripture
19:22like people
19:22sacrificing their children,
19:24these are young children,
19:25by the way,
19:27sacrificing their children
19:28to these false gods
19:30like Molech.
19:31We look in,
19:32I'm sorry,
19:33Leviticus chapter 18,
19:34verse 21,
19:35and do not give
19:36any of your offspring
19:37to pass through to Molech,
19:40and do not profane
19:40the name of your Elohim.
19:43I am Yahweh.
19:45And then,
19:45Leviticus chapter 20,
19:46verses 2 through 3,
19:47say to the children
19:50of Israel,
19:51any man of the children
19:52of Israel,
19:53or the strangers
19:54who sojourn in Israel,
19:55who gives any of his
19:56offsprings to Molech,
19:58shall certainly be put
19:59to death.
20:00The people of the land
20:01shall stone him
20:02with stones,
20:03and I shall set my face
20:04against that man,
20:06and shall cut him off
20:07from the midst
20:07of his people,
20:08because he has given
20:09of his offspring
20:10to Molech,
20:12so as to defile
20:13my set-apart place,
20:14and to profane
20:15my set-apart name.
20:17And finally tonight,
20:18we're going to look at
20:18Deuteronomy chapter 18,
20:20verse 10.
20:20Let no one be found
20:23among you
20:24who makes his son
20:25or his daughter
20:26pass through the fire
20:27or one who practices
20:28divination
20:29or a user of magic
20:30or one who interprets
20:32omens
20:32or a sorcerer.
20:34So you probably
20:34already know this,
20:35that back in those times
20:37there were people
20:38who would
20:38sacrifice
20:40children.
20:41Horror of horrors.
20:42They would actually
20:43sacrifice
20:43their children
20:44to this false
20:45god,
20:46Molech.
20:48Unfortunately,
20:49people are sacrificing
20:50children even today.
20:52They're sacrificed
20:52to the god
20:54of themselves
20:54when they go
20:55and have an abortion.
20:57But here,
20:57these young children
20:58that these people
20:59are sacrificing
20:59to Molech
21:00is considered
21:02murder
21:02because people
21:04who do this,
21:04it says they shall
21:05be stoned
21:06with stones.
21:07They shall be killed
21:08for making their children
21:10or sacrificing
21:11their children
21:12to Molech.
21:13So this command,
21:15this sixth command,
21:16doesn't just apply
21:17to adults.
21:19It doesn't just apply
21:20to the unborn
21:21but also applies
21:22to young children
21:24and to toddlers
21:25to all ages,
21:28all different levels
21:29of the process
21:33of human life.
21:34This do not murder
21:35goes throughout
21:37all stages of life,
21:38not just adult.
21:40And the origination
21:42of murder itself
21:44goes on
21:45or it comes from
21:47not just the action
21:48but from what we think
21:50of in our hearts
21:52and our inner beings.
21:53And this is something
21:54that Yeshua explains
21:55and expounds on
21:56in the Brit Hadashah.
21:58We look at Matthew
21:59chapter 5
22:00verses 21 through 22.
22:02This is Yeshua speaking.
22:05Quote,
22:06You heard that it was said
22:07to those of old,
22:08you shall not murder.
22:10And whoever murders
22:11shall be liable
22:11to judgment.
22:13But I say to you
22:14that whoever is wroth
22:15with his brother
22:15without a cause
22:17shall be liable
22:18to judgment.
22:19And whoever says
22:19to his brother,
22:20Raka,
22:21shall be liable
22:22to the Sanhedrin.
22:23But whoever says,
22:24You fool,
22:25shall be liable
22:26to the fire of Gehenna.
22:28And then going on
22:29to Matthew chapter 15
22:30verse 19.
22:32For out of the heart
22:33come forth wicked reasonings,
22:35murderers,
22:36adulteries,
22:36whorings,
22:37thefts,
22:38false witnessings,
22:39and slanders.
22:40So Yeshua is saying here,
22:42not,
22:43he starts out by saying,
22:44You've heard it said,
22:45you shall not murder.
22:46And then he goes on
22:47to explain more in detail.
22:50So he's not
22:51drawing a contradiction here
22:52and saying,
22:53Well,
22:53it used to say,
22:54do not murder,
22:55but now you don't have
22:55to worry about all that
22:56because that whole law
22:57thing's been done away with.
22:59No,
22:59he's not saying that.
23:00He's saying,
23:01You have heard it said,
23:03you shall not murder.
23:03Well,
23:04here is a more expounded,
23:07more in-depth teaching
23:08on what that actually means.
23:10And he says here
23:11in Matthew chapter 15
23:12that such things like
23:14murder and adulteries,
23:16remember those two
23:17because we'll get into those
23:18here in just a minute.
23:20But he says that such things
23:21like murders and adulteries
23:23and et cetera,
23:23et cetera,
23:24come from the heart.
23:26It's first conceived
23:28and grows in the thoughts
23:31and in the emotions
23:32of our heart.
23:33And then it comes forth
23:35out of us
23:35through our actions,
23:36through what we do,
23:37what we say
23:38a lot of times.
23:40And that's what,
23:43that's the fruition,
23:44the fruits of our
23:46innermost feelings
23:47and thoughts.
23:48But originally it comes
23:49from the heart,
23:50like Yeshua said.
23:52Even in 1 John,
23:53they go on to continue
23:54this same thought process
23:55from Yeshua.
23:56In 1 John chapter 3,
23:58verse 15,
23:58everyone hating his brother
24:01is a murderer
24:02and you know that
24:03no murderer has
24:04everlasting life
24:05staying in him.
24:08Now,
24:09grievous,
24:10absolutely horrid,
24:12grievous sins
24:13like murder
24:14and adultery,
24:16it all called
24:17for the death penalty.
24:20And 1 John,
24:21it says those who
24:22are murderers
24:23have no everlasting life
24:25staying in them.
24:26So does that mean
24:27there's no hope
24:28for a murderer
24:29or an adulterer
24:30or things like that?
24:31No,
24:32it does not
24:33because we look
24:34at various examples
24:35throughout scripture
24:36and we see that
24:37there is even hope
24:38for murderers
24:40and adulterers
24:42and things like that.
24:43We look at Exodus
24:44chapter 2,
24:45verses 11 through 12.
24:47And in those days
24:48it came to be
24:49when Moshe was grown
24:50that he went out
24:51to his brothers
24:51and looked at their burdens
24:53and he saw a Mitrian
24:54striking a Hebrew,
24:56one of his brothers.
24:56So he turned
24:58this way
24:58and that way
24:59and when he saw
25:00no one
25:01he struck the Mitrian
25:02and hit him
25:03in the sand.
25:05So here Moses,
25:06before he leaves Egypt
25:07the first time,
25:09Moses kills
25:10an Egyptian.
25:11He is a
25:12murderer.
25:16Maybe you disagree.
25:17If you do,
25:17let us know down
25:18in the comments.
25:19But just
25:20beating another man
25:21is not really
25:22cause
25:23for death.
25:25But
25:25Moses
25:26in this particular
25:28instance
25:29did go ahead
25:30and kill
25:30that Egyptian
25:31for striking
25:32one of his
25:33Hebrew brethren.
25:34We look at
25:352 Samuel
25:36chapter 12
25:37verse 9.
25:38Why have you
25:39despised the word
25:40of Yahweh
25:41to do evil
25:41in his eyes?
25:43You have struck
25:43Uriah the Hittite
25:44with the sword
25:45and his wife
25:46you took
25:46to be your wife
25:47and you have
25:48killed him
25:48with the sword
25:49of the children
25:50of Ammon.
25:51So here
25:52the prophet
25:52Nathan
25:53is coming
25:53to King
25:55Dawid
25:55and he's
25:56telling him
25:56his sins
25:57because Dawid
25:58tried to hide it.
25:59He
26:00committed adultery
26:02with Bathsheba
26:03and when she
26:05got pregnant
26:05with his child
26:06he
26:07tried this
26:08whole scheme
26:09to make it
26:09look like
26:10Uriah's
26:11but that didn't
26:12work
26:12so he
26:13eventually
26:14murdered
26:15Uriah
26:16in a roundabout
26:17way but
26:17it was Dawid
26:18who murdered
26:19Uriah
26:20so Dawid
26:21was both
26:21a murderer
26:23and an adulterer
26:25so keep that
26:26in mind
26:26then we look
26:27at Acts
26:28chapter 9
26:28verses 1
26:29through 2
26:29but Shaul
26:31still breathing
26:32threats and murder
26:33against the
26:33taught ones
26:34of the master
26:34having come
26:35to the high
26:36priest
26:36asked from him
26:37letters to the
26:37congregations
26:38of Damascus
26:39so that he
26:41found any
26:42who were
26:43of the way
26:44whether men
26:45or women
26:45to bring them
26:46bound to
26:47Yerushalayim
26:48so here
26:50there is a
26:51Pharisee
26:52named Paul
26:52or Shaul
26:54and he is
26:55persecuting
26:56Christians
26:57or Messianics
26:58or however you
26:59want to put it
26:59he's persecuting
27:01them even to
27:01the point
27:02of death
27:03he was killing
27:04them
27:04you remember
27:05the first
27:05martyr
27:06Stephen
27:07Paul was
27:08actually there
27:09at that stoning
27:10because this was
27:11during his time
27:12of persecution
27:13of Messianics
27:14or Christians
27:15so Paul
27:16was a
27:17murderer
27:18now what's
27:19something that
27:19all three of
27:20these have
27:21in common
27:21here that
27:21we just
27:22looked at
27:22here
27:23Moses
27:24Dawid
27:25and Paul
27:26were all
27:28murderers
27:29Dawid was
27:29even an
27:30adulterer
27:31on top of
27:31that
27:31they were
27:32all murderers
27:33and they
27:33had hope
27:34Moses
27:36before he
27:37was called
27:37by Yahweh
27:38and even
27:39Paul
27:39before he
27:40was called
27:40by Yahweh
27:41were murderers
27:42and Yahweh
27:43still called
27:44them
27:45and redeemed
27:46them
27:46Dawid
27:47repented
27:48after Nathan
27:49came to him
27:50and exposed
27:50his sin
27:51Dawid repented
27:52of his sins
27:53of his murder
27:54and of his
27:55adultery
27:56and he was
27:58forgiven
27:58and used
28:00by Yahweh
28:01so even
28:02when someone
28:03commits
28:03these heinous
28:05and grievous
28:06sins
28:07like murder
28:08or adultery
28:09there's still
28:11hope
28:12if you
28:13have done
28:14something
28:15as horrendous
28:16as commit
28:17murder
28:17or if you
28:18have done
28:18something
28:19horrendous
28:19such as
28:20commit
28:20adultery
28:21there is
28:22still
28:23hope
28:23reach out
28:24to someone
28:25especially
28:25pray to
28:27Yahweh
28:27seek forgiveness
28:28from the
28:28Almighty
28:29but if you
28:29need to talk
28:30about it
28:30hey we
28:31can call
28:32us
28:32we can
28:33set up
28:34a time
28:34to video
28:35chat with
28:35you
28:36we can
28:36chat
28:36through email
28:37whatever it
28:38takes
28:38it would
28:39be great
28:39if you
28:40could
28:40sit down
28:40with someone
28:41face to
28:41face in
28:41your local
28:42community
28:42if there's
28:44someone there
28:44that you
28:45could trust
28:46to be able
28:47to speak
28:47with
28:47but reach
28:48out to
28:49someone
28:49there is
28:50hope for
28:50you
28:51it's not
28:51like you
28:52committed
28:53this grievous
28:53sin and
28:54now there
28:54is no
28:55hope and
28:55you're
28:56automatically
28:56going to
28:57go to
28:57the lake
28:58of fire
28:58no there
28:59is still
29:00hope for
29:01you even
29:02for grievous
29:03sins such
29:04as murder
29:05and adultery
29:06so in
29:09summary
29:09the commandment
29:12the sixth
29:13commandment
29:14is thou
29:14shalt not
29:15kill
29:15but as we
29:16learned tonight
29:17there is a
29:18difference between
29:18general killing
29:19and murdering
29:21so more
29:21accurately
29:22the command
29:23is do
29:24not
29:25murder
29:25and like we
29:27said the
29:28most accurate
29:28translation that
29:29we have seen
29:30as we put
29:31together all
29:32the original
29:33Hebrew words
29:34and the
29:35context of
29:35scripture and
29:36the various
29:36examples that
29:37we went
29:37over
29:37the most
29:38accurate
29:38translation is
29:39do not
29:39murder
29:40instead of
29:40do not
29:41kill
29:42strong's
29:44H7523
29:46Ratsak
29:47means murder
29:48slay
29:48dash in
29:49pieces
29:49put to
29:49death
29:49something like
29:50that
29:50scripture
29:52distinguishes
29:53between
29:54killing and
29:55murdering
29:56and just
29:57as a quick
29:58reminder
29:58killing is
30:00the taking
30:01of life
30:02and
30:03in all
30:04forms
30:04but murdering
30:05is the
30:06taking of
30:06innocent
30:07life
30:08premeditated
30:09generally
30:10but the
30:10taking of
30:11innocent life
30:12the unjustified
30:13taking of
30:14life
30:14human life
30:16is precious
30:17because we
30:18are created
30:19in the image
30:19of Yahweh
30:20I know there's
30:21some dissension
30:22or disagreement
30:22on that
30:23whether we
30:24nowadays are
30:25or if it was
30:25just Adam
30:26that's fine
30:27even the
30:28original
30:29humans
30:31were created
30:31in the image
30:32of Yahweh
30:32and then
30:33each of their
30:34descendants
30:34were in
30:34their image
30:35so on and
30:35so forth
30:36so in a
30:37roundabout way
30:38we're still
30:38made in the
30:39image of
30:39Yahweh
30:40and that's
30:41why human
30:42life is
30:42precious
30:43and why we
30:44are above
30:45and different
30:46and set apart
30:47from all the
30:48other creatures
30:49such as
30:49animals
30:50plants
30:50etc
30:51the sixth
30:52commandment
30:53and scripture
30:53in general
30:54forbids the
30:55taking of
30:56innocent life
30:57in other words
30:58murder
30:59and this is
31:01the taking
31:01of innocent
31:02life
31:02the murder
31:03murdering
31:04of innocents
31:05like young
31:06children
31:07being sacrificed
31:08to false
31:09gods
31:09young children
31:10being sacrificed
31:12to the god
31:13of self
31:13nowadays
31:14through things
31:15like abortion
31:16and other
31:18various forms
31:18of killing
31:19Yeshua
31:21as we saw
31:22in the
31:22Brit Hadashah
31:23actually expounds
31:24on the sixth
31:25commandment
31:26teaching how
31:27such things
31:27as murder
31:28and adultery
31:29etc
31:29etc
31:30these things
31:31come out
31:31of the heart
31:32that's where
31:32they originate
31:33from
31:34and there is
31:36hope
31:36as we saw
31:37from various
31:38examples
31:38Moses
31:39Dawid
31:40the apostle
31:40Paul
31:41etc
31:41etc
31:42there's hope
31:43even for
31:43people who
31:44have committed
31:44such grievous
31:45sins
31:46like adultery
31:47and murder
31:48and that's
31:50just the
31:51god
31:51honest truth
31:52so thank you
31:54for joining us
