00:00It looks like everybody's favorite trolling just got the animated treatment.
00:03Here's your look at Mattel, He-Man, and Master Universe cartoon collection, Orko, Heroic Court Magician.
00:19It's an exciting time to be a Master Universe fan.
00:22For long-time fans, and for a new generation of kids who love the action and adventure,
00:26it's time to experience the thrilling action and adventure of He-Man, Skeletor,
00:29The Secrets of Castle Greyskull, and much more.
00:32The figures in this collection stand 5.5 inches tall and have 16 movable joints,
00:36so they're highly poseable for imaginative and action-oriented fun.
00:39We all know how Orko gets into trouble.
00:42I might even get in trouble myself for saying that I actually like the cartoon collection Orko
00:45more than I liked the Origins.
00:47Speaking of the Origins, we will be bringing that in in second.
00:50In the meantime, though, first, first, let's take the tape measure and see how tall the figure stands.
00:54Now, Orko is currently on a display stand.
00:56He does come included with one.
00:57That stand, by the way, can be swapped around with the Origins.
01:00Wait, what? Yeah.
01:02The figure for Orko, at least, is going to stand at 5.5 inches in height,
01:06of course, including the display stand.
01:08Turning that around, though, you'll look at the figure being 14 centimeters tall.
01:12That Origins Orko, by the way, here's what the figure looks like with him.
01:15A little bit longer in proportions, because keeping in mind,
01:17the original vintage Orko would have been a longer figure,
01:20and he also wouldn't have come included with a display stance that looks like this.
01:24Again, you can take the stands and swap them around.
01:26In the meantime, though, let's bring in some other figures as well.
01:29Here's what he looks like with the cartoon collection He-Man.
01:31Why not? Let's bring in Tila.
01:33Bring in Duncan, man-at-arms.
01:35And just because, again, we've just recently had a look at him as well,
01:38let's also bring in the cartoon collection Buzz-Off.
01:41Does Orko come included with the paper pamphlet magic storyteller?
01:44Will you be also making a joke and throwing it away?
01:46He does, and I will.
01:47The figure, first of all, does come included with a paper pamphlet.
01:50The pamphlet, in this case, does, if I can actually open it up,
01:53show all the parts that can be swapped around.
01:56They also include the display stand,
01:58although it really is only effective when you have another Orko,
02:01of course, that can be swapped around.
02:02It's not like you can really take this.
02:03I don't think you can actually detach the top of a torso
02:06of a cartoon collection figure and ram that in the bottom.
02:09No, I'm not even going to try that either.
02:11Not much in the way, though, of jokes.
02:12I'm going to discard the paper pamphlet right over somewhere over there.
02:17The figure does also come in clear with a mini-comic entitled Future Tense.
02:20This is part V of the Horde Invasion saga.
02:23I think this is now the first time that we've actually got ourselves mini-comics
02:27that actually specifically tell us that it's a part of a bigger story.
02:31Advertised on the front, by the way, there's She-Ra.
02:33Advertised on the back, though, there's also a cartoon collection,
02:35Grizzlor and Fangman.
02:37Now, I've ordered both of these figures.
02:39They haven't yet arrived.
02:40I figured I also wanted to look at Orko.
02:42So I actually ordered Orko from a different site,
02:44and then I ordered these two from another different site.
02:46I wish that I could have all really ordered them together,
02:49but it's just the way that Lady Luck was delting my hand that day.
02:52Inside, though, the comic, and one thing, unfortunately, though,
02:54about the comic is getting out of the packaging.
02:56It was bent like this.
02:58It had nothing, though, to do with the way I opened it up.
03:01If you go back and look at the way I've opened up the packaging,
03:03not that I feel the need to prove that,
03:05but I think I was pretty careful when it came to opening it.
03:07It just, unfortunately, was curled like this.
03:10But at least I can do myself at least a fix by...
03:14When I do pick up these figures,
03:15it's going to come and include the exact same comic,
03:16so I won't even have to worry as much
03:18that it's going to have the corner that looks like this.
03:20Anyways, there's Hordak, featured on the inside.
03:24That actually looks like the severed head of Hordak,
03:26which is kind of weird the way they've depicted that.
03:29A couple of red Horde troopers,
03:30Skeletor down below in the section as well.
03:32I was going to say the comment section.
03:34There's Bo.
03:35There's Frosta.
03:35And what else do we have in...
03:38What's kind of really rather neat about this too
03:40is it also teases the 2000X...
03:42No, not the 2000X.
03:43The New Adventures of He-Man,
03:44which I'm probably one of the few people
03:45that actually like the New Adventures of He-Man.
03:47I do hope that we are eventually going to be getting
03:49some branch then into that,
03:51and we may even get like a cartoon collection
03:54New Adventures of He-Man line.
03:55Is anybody going to be all that interested in it?
03:57I think if they do that though,
03:59I don't feel like they need to do like all the characters.
04:01Maybe just do a He-Man, just do a Skeletor.
04:03That would be enough for me.
04:04Oh, and then like was that eyeball guy.
04:06I think I would kind of be interested to see that as well.
04:09So that's your mini comic.
04:10I'm not going to dispose of that.
04:12I just dropped my He-Man off to the side.
04:14I'm not going to dispose of this.
04:14I'm going to hold on to this for dear life
04:17until of course I got the other two figures.
04:18Then this might also be discarded as well.
04:21Let's move that off to the side though
04:22and getting a closer look at Orko.
04:24Now Orko comes with not only the accessory of the Hero Metal,
04:29he also comes included of course with the floating stand,
04:30but though you may also notice that he also comes with two other pieces.
04:34Those other two pieces are if you want to change him over
04:36to make him look like Uncle Montark.
04:38Uncle Montark.
04:40So again, like you can swap the parts out with the existing Orko that you have.
04:43More than reasons I would imagine to pick up a second one of these Orkos
04:47so you could have an Orko on display along with his Uncle Montark.
04:51Looking though at those parts,
04:53I mean they're not really going to be doing much of anything
04:54until eventually get around to swapping these around.
04:56He comes included with the beard
04:57and he comes included with the hair, the headpiece.
05:00Now you'll notice though with his head,
05:02Montark actually does have a slightly different eye than Orko.
05:06You can see that Orko's is round
05:07and his dear uncle actually has square eyes.
05:10Kind of interesting.
05:11To swap the heads around is just a case of actually popping off the head,
05:14popping off the hat I should say,
05:15removing the headpiece and removing as well the scarf.
05:19I'm going to do that in a second though.
05:20I figured we kind of want to really like look at Orko first.
05:22He's the real reason.
05:23I mean it's advertised in the packaging anyways as Orko.
05:25So it doesn't say it's being advertised as Uncle Montark.
05:30As mentioned though,
05:30the figure does also come included with his Hero Metal.
05:32Now I had a hard real time of taking this out of the tray.
05:35This was a very soft plastic
05:36and when I was trying to pull this from the tray,
05:39I was actually worried for a moment that I was going to rip it.
05:42Again, it's very soft plastic.
05:43To get this around his head though,
05:44you're going to have to take the head off anyways
05:46and then you're just going to put that around his neck.
05:49Maybe I'll do that also in a second as well.
05:51So the figure does come included with his floating stand.
05:53Now if you compare it with the more exaggerated stand
05:56that the Origins Orko had,
05:58I know a lot of people didn't really like the look of that stand.
06:00I didn't really mind it all that much.
06:02Now though that I see this as the example that we can use.
06:05Another reason,
06:06you can probably get yourself
06:07what we're now counting three Orkos.
06:10One is Orko,
06:11one is his uncle,
06:11one to get one just as for the display stand itself.
06:14The stand just detaches.
06:17There's a hole on the bottom of his skirting.
06:19And then this doesn't really have much in the way of possibility.
06:21You can rotate it,
06:23but I mean really,
06:24it also rotates,
06:25like when you plug it onto his body,
06:26his body's going to kind of rotate anyways.
06:29I guess it's just something that saves the peg.
06:31So you can kind of rotate it.
06:32It makes such a very unsettling sound
06:36to start turning things around like this.
06:37You almost kind of feel like it's going to be breaking.
06:39And like looking at the way it's designed,
06:41I don't want to really like turn it all that much.
06:44Yeah, it seems like it's still okay.
06:46Even though it does look like it could turn,
06:48I really don't like the sound that goes along with it.
06:50So I probably would just leave it be.
06:52By the way, though,
06:52if he again wanted to swap out the bodies,
06:54Origins Orko,
06:56even though he did technically have supposed ability
06:58because there was a hinge joint here
06:59and then further up from that,
07:01there was also a hinge joint.
07:02We can move this back and forth.
07:03This could also rotate too as well.
07:04But I know a lot of people, again,
07:06just didn't like this.
07:07This is so much going on
07:09for something that really only need to be a display stand.
07:11Technically, yeah,
07:12you could just detach this
07:13and it works with the exact same hole.
07:15So you could take that Orko,
07:17just detach this one from his display stand
07:19and just attach this again to the Origins Orko.
07:23Now you got yourself a slightly more simpler stand.
07:25And hey, why not?
07:26You can also use this stand
07:27and attach it onto this Orko.
07:29Although this one is a little harder to get on there.
07:31It seems like it's almost even a larger joint.
07:33So you can have the figures swapped around.
07:35Crisscross, applesauce.
07:37You can mix around the stands that way.
07:39In the end, I just really like the clear display stand.
07:41I think it works a little bit better.
07:43So let's kind of move Mark Orko out of the way.
07:45I guess before we do that, though,
07:47let's just attach this guy.
07:48Show you guys, though,
07:49the differences between the two.
07:51You know, his outfit is very similar, obviously.
07:54The Origins Orko, though,
07:56would have had a much longer outfit.
07:58This Orko is a lot smaller in size.
08:00The hats are also very similar.
08:02Eyes also are very similar, too.
08:03Now, I haven't yet tried this,
08:05but I wonder if you could actually swap the eyes around.
08:07You'll notice, though,
08:08that the head is a little bit smaller on the Origins,
08:10a little bit larger, though,
08:11for the cartoon collection.
08:13Arms are a little bit smaller also as well.
08:15So there is a difference, obviously, between the two.
08:18Even though, like,
08:19neither one of them really looked like the vintage Orko.
08:22Orko, the original one,
08:23was a much simpler-looking design figure.
08:25I think he also had a zip line.
08:27You could, like, pull him back and zip along.
08:28But, you know, I feel bad kind of saying this
08:32because I was really more...
08:33I'm more an Origins guy myself.
08:34I love the cartoon collection.
08:36But, like, to go back and collect the vintage toy line,
08:38which I know is going for stupid money.
08:40Like, if you try to track down
08:41the old 80s figures of He-Man and Massey Universe,
08:44they go for some crazy money nowadays.
08:46I...
08:47Even though, like,
08:47this really is a little shorter in size,
08:50I'd almost be kind of compelled
08:52to display this guy with my Origins figures
08:54and then get another one for the cartoon collection.
08:56Even though, again, like,
08:56this one's not that bad, really.
08:58I don't know.
08:59I'm not sure really what I'm going to do.
09:01What I am going to do, though,
09:02is I'm going to show you guys
09:02how to attach the necklace.
09:05So, like, the necklace,
09:06the way that it's designed,
09:07even though it's rubbery plastic,
09:09I wouldn't dare risk
09:10trying to stretch this around his hat.
09:12Don't do that.
09:12Whatever you do.
09:13So, instead,
09:14just sort of detach the hat.
09:16And you can basically just leave Orko
09:17the way he is right now.
09:19Take yourself, then, the metal.
09:20You want to make sure, of course,
09:21it's facing the right way.
09:22To know you're facing it the right way,
09:24it says hero on one side.
09:25It says absolutely nothing on the other.
09:27It's got some sculpting, yes,
09:29but the hero is really
09:30what we want to be showing off.
09:31So, we basically just take that
09:33and we put it around Orko's,
09:34kind of, his scarf there
09:36and then we basically
09:36just then take his head.
09:38His head, actually,
09:38if you look at the inside of his hat,
09:39does have a ball joint
09:40and that just then plugs onto his head
09:43and just like that.
09:45Make sure it's all the way on there.
09:47There we go.
09:48And now Orko's got himself
09:49his little medallion.
09:51As an accessory thrown in there,
09:53this is actually pulled from the episode
09:54The Return of Orko's Uncle.
09:55I guess it's fine
09:56that they would have thrown this in there.
09:57I actually would have just preferred
09:59really to have some spells,
10:01like something just
10:01you could have attached
10:02inside of his hand.
10:03I mean, the metal is fine and good,
10:05but I think for a long-term plan
10:07of displaying Orko,
10:08some spells,
10:09something just,
10:10I don't know,
10:10like something sparkly,
10:12I think would have worked
10:13a little bit better for the figure.
10:15Now, again,
10:15if you want to change this, though,
10:16to Montark,
10:17all you're going to have to then do
10:18is basically you're just going
10:19to detach the head.
10:21You really do want to
10:22kind of really take everything off,
10:23so let's just do that.
10:25So Orko's head
10:26is basically as a separate piece,
10:28and then the scarf
10:28is a separate piece.
10:30So you've got two extra pieces.
10:32Then you've got yourself
10:32your beard
10:33and the head for Montark,
10:35so you're going to go ahead
10:35and do that.
10:36So put that basically
10:37onto the ball joint,
10:38and when you're looking
10:39at the head,
10:40one side is a larger ball joint,
10:42one is a smaller one.
10:44The smaller socket
10:45will go to the top,
10:46because I know it's kind of hard
10:47when you're looking at this,
10:48which way is which.
10:48The eyes are also
10:49a little bit closer down,
10:50so that's also one way
10:51to kind of tell you.
10:52Plug this then
10:53onto the ball joint,
10:54just like that.
10:55Take yourself the hat
10:56and plug it in place.
10:59And now you have yourself
11:00Orko's uncle.
11:03Certainly though,
11:04again,
11:04I would probably consider
11:05getting more than one of these.
11:07What person in their right mind
11:08is going to just get
11:08one figure of
11:09cartoon collection Orko
11:10and then display it
11:11on the shelf
11:11as Orko's uncle?
11:13So that's not really
11:13going to work for me.
11:14It's not going to work
11:15really at all
11:15for my collection,
11:16but if you wanted to,
11:18Mattel gives you the means
11:18then to have the figures
11:19displayed in two different ways.
11:21The articulation,
11:22by the way,
11:22is going to be exactly
11:23the same on all these figures.
11:24Well,
11:25whether you have them
11:25displayed as the uncle
11:26or you display them
11:27as Orko,
11:28the articulation
11:28is going to still
11:29stick the same.
11:30So the top of the hat
11:31technically does have
11:32posability,
11:33not really much
11:34that you'd be able
11:34to do with it.
11:35I mean,
11:35it's just really involving
11:36really the hat
11:37rotating around.
11:38The head is also
11:39going to be on a ball joint,
11:40so it does move too.
11:41It's hard though
11:42to kind of get in there
11:43to start to move
11:43the head around
11:44because when you try
11:45to move the head,
11:45you're going to be
11:46moving the hats.
11:48But you kind of have to
11:49kind of get your finger
11:50in there and turn it manually.
11:53And then of course
11:53you want to make sure
11:54you're facing it forward
11:55so the uncle can see
11:55where he's going.
11:56As for the arms,
11:58Orko or his uncle
11:59does give you a T pose
12:00either way.
12:01You can bring the arms forward,
12:02you can bring the arms back.
12:03He has a single hinge
12:04only in the elbow.
12:05You can rotate the forearm though.
12:07Oh, sorry.
12:07Rotate the forearm though.
12:09You can also rotate
12:10his tiny little hands.
12:11Look how small
12:12those things are.
12:13And then he doesn't really
12:14have much in the way
12:14of posability
12:15from like that down.
12:16I mean,
12:16everything else basically
12:17is just sculpted this way.
12:19But if you look though
12:20at the original origins,
12:21the origins would have
12:21worked the exact same way
12:22and they would have
12:23also plugged in
12:24the exact same way.
12:25I love the look of Orko though.
12:27I mean like to get
12:27a cartoon collection Orko though,
12:30whether you want to
12:30display him as his uncle,
12:31I think again,
12:32like if you're only beginning
12:33one figure and one figure only,
12:35nobody really is going
12:35to be displaying.
12:36Not that I want to speak
12:37for every collector out there,
12:38but it's very unlikely,
12:40I'm sure,
12:40that you're going to be
12:40picking up these figures
12:41with the idea of
12:42displaying him as Montark.
12:44Again,
12:45like to bring back in
12:46He-Man who had dropped earlier
12:47and to bring back in
12:49say like Teela.
12:50Why not?
12:51We'll also bring in
12:51Man-at-Arms.
12:53It's nice to finally
12:53have ourselves an Orko
12:54as part of this set.
12:56I mean,
12:56even though this is part
12:57of the wave
12:57that still includes as well
12:58Grizzlor and Fangman,
13:00which we will be looking at
13:00in two obviously separate reviews
13:02when those figures
13:03eventually arrive,
13:04Orko really was the one
13:05I was looking forward to
13:06the most.
13:07We didn't have to really
13:08wait that far into the line
13:09before we eventually
13:10got ourselves a Orko.
13:12And I think the final result
13:14of getting a figure like this
13:15is he does look good.
13:15Let's go ahead and get
13:16Origins Orko back
13:18on his display stand.
13:19Again,
13:20the benefit that I think
13:21that Mattel is smart to do
13:22is by making these
13:23also the same
13:24universally sized whole.
13:26If you end up getting
13:27more than one Orko,
13:28another one for the uncle,
13:29another one for the display stand,
13:31you could then use
13:32this display stand
13:33for this Orko
13:34if you thought
13:35the original Origins Orko
13:36had too busy
13:37of a display stand.
13:38I'm sure he's not
13:39going to be displayed
13:39at all on my shelf like this.
13:41I figured I'd spend
13:42some time to wrap up
13:43this review
13:43with a figure displayed
13:44as Uncle Montork.
13:46I don't know how many times
13:47I probably called him
13:48Montark in this review.
13:49But either way though,
13:50Mattel chose smartly
13:51to include swappable parts
13:53so if you don't want
13:54to have Orko displayed
13:55as his normal self,
13:57you can display him
13:57as his dear uncle too.
13:59Also there,
14:00there's the nudge
14:00that you need
14:01in the right direction
14:02to get a second Orko.
14:03Not that I really need
14:04to have my rubber arm twisted
14:05because I know
14:06I'm going to only
14:07go out there
14:07and get myself
14:08another cartoon collection
14:09Orko with the reasons
14:10in mind that I can
14:11change it into the look
14:12of the Uncle Montork
14:14instead.
14:15Now one thing also
14:16with this figure too
14:17is that he comes
14:17and clears with
14:18the mini comic.
14:18I said part V,
14:20obviously part V
14:21is part 5
14:21of the Horde invasion saga.
14:23One comic though
14:24we will be seeing again
14:25when we look at Grizzlor
14:26and then seeing again
14:27and then again
14:28after we then see
14:29Fangman,
14:30which those two figures
14:31I've now ordered,
14:32just waiting for those
14:33to arrive in the mail.
14:34What do you guys
14:35think though
14:35of the Cartoon Collection
14:36Orko?
14:37Let me know down below
14:38in the comments section.
14:39I still think though
14:40the fact that you get
14:41yourself the included
14:42swappable parts
14:43for obviously his uncle
14:44and he also comes
14:45to include the Hero Metal,
14:46he gets some really
14:47cool accessories.
14:49Now I mean
14:49some of these
14:49Cartoon Collection figures
14:51have had some
14:51scratchable accessories
14:52where you kind of
14:53like look at that
14:53and you think
14:54did he really need
14:55to have this said item?
14:57Probably still the worst
14:58is probably Merman's Pearl.
15:00I don't even know
15:01what I end up doing
15:01with that pearl.
15:02I'm sure I just
15:03end up losing it.
15:04Orko at least
15:05does come include
15:05with the Hero Metal
15:06even though I'm
15:07probably not going
15:07to be displaying it.
15:08The Hero Metal
15:09will find the same place
15:10as all the parts
15:11for his uncle.
15:12They'll be ending up
15:13in a bag
15:13with all the other
15:14Cartoon Collection figures
15:15accessories that I
15:16don't currently have
15:17on display.
15:18But what do you guys
15:18think of Cartoon Collection
15:20Orko?
15:20Yeah, pretty cool figure
15:21isn't he?
15:22Do you have plans
15:23also as well
15:24to get a second version
15:25of this guy
15:25so you could be
15:26displaying him also
15:27as Orko
15:28and Uncle Montork
15:29on the shelf?
15:30Let me know
15:31what you guys
15:31think of him.
