00:00Have you been healed by the 2K sunset? Well, TikToker Foofy has, and his miracle inspired a

00:05meme across TikTok. Foofy is a gaming TikToker whose videos tend to follow the same format,

00:10a split screen with a clip from a video game at the bottom, him just staring at the screen on top,

00:15and a text caption with a white background in the middle. So on May 31st, when he uploaded a video

00:20following the same format, there was no indication that it would spawn a viral meme. This TikTok's

00:24video was a clip of a sunset from the video game NBA 2K, and the top video is, as per usual,

00:30him just staring, this time seemingly wrapped in a bathrobe or blanket. The text caption reads,

00:35POV 2K sunsets healed you. Though he doesn't specify from what, leaving us all in suspense

00:41regarding a potential medical breakthrough. The video, set to the song Best Part by her and Daniel

00:46Caesar, went on to garner over 5 million views in just over on the bandwagon, copying Foofy's video

00:51style, but generally replacing the bottom clip with sunsets from all varieties of other video

00:56games, like Valorant, Overwatch, Marvel Rivals, even the sunsets in the weather app did their

01:01share of healing. Generally, these would be set to the same Best Part track. The memes spiraled,

01:05as they tend to do, with users inverting the format, posting TikToks about 2K sunsets harming

01:10them instead of healing them. Users would also make memes showing Foofy in the top frame and

01:15something that wasn't a sunset in the bottom frame, but still claimed potential healing powers.

01:19Some creators would even make fan art of Foofy using the meme format, or get meta with it,

01:24claiming that the meme itself healed them, or used the format to post a cover of the song.
