00:00During the great rally for peace and democracy held on Wednesday in Cali, Colombia, President
00:05Gustavo Petro called for dialogue after attacks in the southwest of the country.
00:09During the rally, Petro addressed the people to reject the recent violent acts that took
00:14place in Cauca, Valle del Cauca and Cali.
00:17He also denounced that an attempt was made to silence this region with terror and fear
00:23and leaving dozens of people injured and dead, including civilians and members of the security
00:28forces.
00:29Likewise, he highlighted the history of social struggles and proposed to recover that memory
00:34to build a country based on justice, dignified work and participative democracy.
00:40Moreover, the head of state called for national unity, dialogue between opposition parties and
00:46to continue fighting without violence for a more just and peaceful Colombia.
