03:05Long ago, an Englishman went to Egypt to study archaeology
03:09That quiet student of lost civilizations eventually became the great war hero, Lawrence of Arabia
03:15During World War I, he dressed up like an Arab and fought behind enemy lines
03:21Legend has it, though, that dressing up like an Arab wasn't all his idea
03:25One day, he and Hassim, his faithful Arab servants, saddled up their camels for a day trip to a nearby oasis
03:33Halfway there, a sudden sandstorm came up and they lost their way
03:38When the dust settled, they were face to face with enemy troops
03:42Relax, boss, said Hassim
03:45He whipped out a tablecloth from his saddle pack and threw it over Lawrence's head like a traditional Arab headdress
