00:00Aaron Rodgers making his first appearance as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
00:05Met the media for the first time yesterday.
00:07There were several topics discussed aside from just the fact that he got married a couple of months ago.
00:12Let's kick things off with why was the Pittsburgh Steelers a good fit for him?
00:17Steelers the right fit for you.
00:20You know, I think it starts with Mike Tomlin.
00:22I've been a fan of his for a long time.
00:25There's a few iconic franchises in the NFL.
00:28I played for one of them for 18 years.
00:30This is another one of those.
00:33There's something special about, obviously, this area.
00:37So many great quarterbacks are from Pittsburgh.
00:39I feel like Pittsburgh has been a part of my career from the beginning.
00:44Playing for Mike McCarthy for 13 years.
00:46Having Tom Clements or Tommy Clements, depending on how old you are, as my quarterback coach forever.
00:52Don Capers, Kevin Green, Darren Perry, Ben McAdoo, Frank Cignetti, Luke Getzey.
01:02I don't want to forget anybody, but a lot of yinzers in my life.
01:06A lot of yinzers, he said.
01:07I like that little touch at the end.
01:09A lot of yinzers.
01:11I like that at the end.
01:11Listen, there's no denying it.
01:14Eight Super Bowls, six Super Bowl trophies.
01:18It's that simple.
01:19There's nothing else to say.
01:20No, there is not anything else to say.
01:23One more from Rodgers before we move on.
01:26The difference already, he's only been with the Steelers for a couple days.
01:29Someone actually asked him the difference between Pittsburgh and the Jets.
01:34I guess they were kind of putting the bait out for him.
01:36And let's just say Rodgers wasn't going to take it.
01:39I'm 41, so my body feels different than it did at 25.
01:42But I feel better.
01:44I feel good last year.
01:46I worked really hard.
01:47It was a tough couple years.
01:48I was getting hurt and then rehabbing for a year to get back.
01:51But I feel good.
01:52Aaron, it's kind of along those lines.
01:54After the way things went forward last year,
01:55what do you feel like is different about this organization,
01:57about you physically, mentally, that will lead to more success here?
02:01I'm not going to take any shots at my previous organization, if that's what you're trying to get me to do.
02:10I'm just going to talk about these guys.
02:11I like the opportunity here.
02:12I like the feel with the guys.
02:14I like how Mike T has been in the meetings.
02:16Tom Arthur and I have known each other since 2006.
02:20He was in my quarterback room our first offseason together.
02:24Still has the prettiest drop I've ever seen.
02:26So it was good to see him.
02:28Arthur I've known for a number of years.
02:30Obviously, everybody in the Shanahan tree is close.
02:32Listen, I mean, look, we all know that his days are numbered.
02:38We all know it didn't work with the Jets.
02:40We all know he can still throw it.
02:42We all know he's smart.
02:43We all know he gets rid of the ball quick.
02:45We all know he was injured.
02:47He had a couple injuries last year that hammered him.
02:49We know they didn't win.
02:51It is what it is.
02:52Look, the Jets don't win no matter who their quarterback is.
02:54They didn't win with Brett Favre.
02:56They don't win with anybody.
02:58They literally won with nobody.
02:59So believe it, the only guy that ever won there was Mark Sanchez.
03:04And I mean, in the last 20 years, right?
03:06So he got him to do title games.
03:08So you can make fun of him all you want, but fumble, whatever.
03:11He was their best quarterback that they've had.
03:13Pennington would be the second best, right?
03:15Like, let's get real.
03:16So this guy is going to a place that knows how to win.
03:20They do win.
03:20You know, it's funny.
03:21They got him at eight and a half.
03:22Everybody thinks they suck.
03:23They're not going anywhere.
03:24Watch what happens.
03:25They'll still win 10, 11 games.
03:27They always do.
03:28So get ready.
03:30It's coming.
03:31Everyone thinks they're finishing third or fourth in the North.
03:34Good luck with that.
03:35They won 10 games by December this last year when everyone said they were going to suck
03:39with Russell Wilson and with Justin Fields.
03:42So the thing is, win, win, loss, win, win, loss.
03:48All those morons out there to think they got the NFL figured out.
03:51You know what you know about the NFL?
03:54Absolutely nothing.
03:56Nothing.
03:56Nothing.
