00:00Bradford City's Chief Executive Officer, Ryan Sparks, has described last season, which saw Bradford City promoted back to League One, as a wonderful campaign.
00:11Yeah, in the end it was a wonderful season for us. A season that had everything I think. On the pitch is where the majority of the drama was, which is where you want it.
00:23And we took the drama right down to the wire, didn't we, probably in the most Bradford City where we could possibly do it.
00:31You mentioned that it was a season that had everything, but what moments stand out to you from the last 12 months?
00:37There's lots of different moments. I think there were some moments that I personally felt we'd made a move towards that top three.
00:45I remember going to Bromley on that Tuesday night and it was a really difficult game.
00:49And we won with a late Bobby Poynton goal and that felt like a night where we perhaps were heading in the right direction in terms of where we wanted to go.
01:00There were some incredible moments here at Valley Parade, the victory over Walsall, Grimsby, huge wins for us and then bumper crowds against Crewe and Colchester.
01:10And Bradford City goalkeeper Sam Walker, who has just signed a new contract at the club, has made clear that the club is ready to play football in League One.
01:19Following their promotion last season.
01:21Yeah, the club's, you know, more than ready for this level, has been for a long time.
01:27And, you know, we've already got a fantastic fan base.
01:31Obviously, we were the biggest club in the league last season and the seasons before.
01:35And we'll go, in my opinion, you know, easily into the top five of next season's league as well in terms of our fan base.
01:41So, we've got to use that. We've got to harness that.
01:43Like I say, there's an amazing energy.
01:46You could really feel it in that week that followed the Fleetwood game.
01:49The energy that had been kind of created throughout the city, really.
01:53And that was really sort of special to be a part of.
01:55And personally, those few weeks after that last game, what's it been like for you, obviously, with the contract talks, the celebrations?
02:00How have you dealt with all that?
02:01Yeah, it was, well, I think everything kind of switched off for a week.
02:05I think we all kind of made a conscious effort to really enjoy, you know, what we'd achieved together.
02:11So, you know, we had, yeah, a good few out the weekend.
