Bobby attended Day 1 of mandatory minicamp in Frisco and recapped what stood out to him. The biggest surprise was Jake Ferguson taking second-team reps. Miles Sanders showed a good burst and stood out. Dak Prescott had his best practice so far, with his connection to George Pickens continuing to impress. 00:00micah on what that uh what that little chit chat with jerry was about we were talking about how
00:19my off season has been the training i've been putting in and he told me i look pretty good so
00:24i got excited about that um asking about the trip i just went on and you know it's pretty it was a
00:31pretty good conversation and then obviously just stepping up and being a leader how much he
00:35appreciates i'm here and um you know and that you know it means a lot to me how hopeful are you to
00:40get a deal done before you go to oxon i'm pretty hopeful i'm still you know hanging tight like i
00:45understand it's up to him and he gives the green line on everything so hopefully um something's done
00:50you know by next month he keeps on keeping it and putting it in jerry's court waiting for the
00:56green light when he decides he's the big dog so something is sitting on jerry's desk yeah there's
01:03a there's clearly a a plan i think that he's been given of just hey this is what we're saying this
01:10is what we're talking about keep it to this and and keep the focus on them and the pressure on them
01:14and and the reality is the pressure is on them to get it done right now yeah that that's the reality
01:19of where they're at and i think that the cowboys are still a little frustrated that they felt like
01:23we had something done even if it was one of these handshake deals or face face we had something done
01:27and it should have been done by now clarence hill reports that jerry has had no recent conversations
01:33with the agent david he doesn't know him he can't call him he doesn't know that's right i can't call
01:38who i don't know this is this is right out of the negotiating handbook i'm sure uh whoever calls first
01:44loses whoever answers first yeah yeah i mean that's it's exactly what jerry said in the past
01:50about uh trades with the draft was well if you picked up the phone you already lost the negotiation
01:54and that that's probably how he feels about it he doesn't want to do that and i think that's been
01:58his approach on some of these other deals michael was asked are you just waiting for jerry to call
02:03you so this saga can finally end yeah you know i mean that's what it kind of come down to it you
02:09know um you know he gives the green light he's the owner he's the uh he's you know he's pretty
02:15much what it takes to get anything done anywhere around here so you know it's up to him but like
02:20i said i'm gonna still keep playing football i'm gonna keep showing up and preparing like you know
02:24any other year
