New Delhi, June 11, 2025 (ANI): As notices were being sent to Muradi Road under demolition drive, Locals on June 11 said that this is just harassing people. They also hoped from High Court that the court will give relief. “These notices were pasted everywhere. They did not leave any place. This government is harassing poor people. Muradi Rd is a 60-70 years old and people are living here for so many years. Now, DDA is telling that this is their land…Where was DDA from 60-70 years ago? Today, DDA is telling us that this is our land. This is just harassing people and nothing more. Hearing is going on in High Court. We have full hope from High Court that they will give us justice…,” said Local. “The notice given to us is wrong. This area has been settled from 70-80 years. Roads, sewers were built and electricity facilities are also available. If DDA said that it is their place, then why DDA did not take action that time? Where was DDA sleeping 70 years ago. 40-50 buildings have been given notice by DDA. Atleast 400 families are living here, where will they go now?...Today is our date in High Court. We hope to see the relief from the High Court,” said Local.
