00:00We are so lucky to meet all these great people, all these great rescues, and your mission, where do you want to start?
00:05I mean, the fact that you met your husband in a veterinary clinic, and now you've got this thing, and you're working together, and you do this amazing work on the website and all this.
00:14Positive Beings Rescue. We've been open for three years now. I work closely with my husband, and it's the reason why I started this.
00:21I used to be a veterinary nurse, and so many people come in not being able to afford any medical care, and their only option was to either euthanize or surrender, so I would take them in.
00:31And ideally, I was like, I should just open an organization, and I have, and it's been three amazing, magical years, and my husband is a big part of this.
00:41We do surgery on all those animals. We treat them before they go into their forever homes.
00:46Since we are a foster-based organization, so we don't have a physical facility at the moment, and that's the goal, so we can save more animals.
00:55Right now, it's summer. People are away. There's no fosters available.
00:59So ideally, fosters are the most important thing right now, and donations, so we can cover medical costs.
01:05There's also other ways, you know, like if you have a sitting event space, maybe we could host an event there, and amongst other things.
01:15But yeah, donation, foster, spread the love, and sharing this with us.
01:20Tell us who you brought with you today.
01:22Hope is here. I rescued her back in January for Miami-Dade Animal Services.
01:27She was sent on their blast email, so she urgently needed to get out of there.
01:31She was super anemic. She was very, very skinny, and they found her as a stray.
01:35So she's been with us since January, and she is dog-selective, people-selective, so it's been really, really hard to place her in a home.
01:44We actually even flew her to Colorado, where a family was interested in her, and after 10 days, they didn't want her anymore.
01:50And I personally, myself, flew over there to get her, fly her back here to safety, and she's back into her foster home.
01:57But she urgently needs a home. We've invested in a lot of training. We're going to again, and we hope we can place her in the perfect home soon.
02:05Beach Buddies program, this whole labor of love, meeting great people like you and your research, and the love that you have for the dogs.
02:14And we want to say thank you to Tito's, handmade vodka vodka for dog people. Without them, we couldn't do this.
02:20Thank you for your support, for sponsoring this whole thing.
02:23And we get to meet all these great people and all these great rescues around South Florida.
02:27Where do we send our listeners to take a look at the great work you do?
02:31Follow us on Instagram, at Positive Beings.
02:34And we have our beautiful website that just got finished from Pavel.
02:56Yes, so this is Lola. She was tied to the fence at our hospital.
03:00She's just been with us ever since. She's great.
03:03Don't know why they tied her up.
03:04How old is she?
03:05She's about five or six years old, we think.
03:08But she's a sweet girl. She just wants to be an only child.
03:11So you've had her how long?
03:12We've had her at least six months, if not more.
03:17Yeah, we've had her for a while.
03:19If you visit her Instagram, at Positive Beings, you can see Lola there.
03:23And the best thing you guys can do is share it.
03:25Share it on your story. Send it to people.
03:27Let's find her a home. She has to be an only dog right now.
03:30One more time. I just want to say thank you again to Tito's.
03:33Handmade Vodka, our sponsors.
03:34Tito's, when they say Vodka for Dog People, they are putting up the money and sponsoring this so that we can give you time on the radio and help it.
03:42And again, anything you can do, like they just said, to spread the word.
03:45Whether it's an Instagram post, just a mention, anything to your friends.
03:49Get the word out for these dogs and all these dogs that need love, need families.
