RZA, Shameik Moore, Paris Jackson, and More at the Tribeca Festival World Premiere of One Spoon of Chocolate

Rapper, actor, director, and record producer RZA served up his new film, One Spoon of Chocolate which he wrote and directed at the Tribeca Festival in New York City last night. Set against the backdrop of a quiet Southern town, One Spoon of Chocolate follows a former military convict who, upon relocating from the city, finds love, danger, and more trouble than he ever bargained for. The film shot on location in Atlanta, Georgia stars Shameik Moore, Paris Jackson, Blair Underwood, and more. We got to speak with some of the cast as well as the projects' creative genius, Wu-Tang Clan pioneer, RZA. Keep tuned in to LifeMinute.TV for daily coverage of the fest running from June 4-15.

00:13The inspiration probably came from just fun, life, craziness all mixed together.

00:18You know, I'm a Tarantino student.

00:20I wanted to make something that was like, had something very unique and very magnetizing.

00:25I think music and film is a natural dance.

00:28And if you get it right, you can get the music and the film to come together and tell the same story.

00:35I was lucky to get Tyler Bates to help compose this thing for me and I think we got a great story.

00:42It's always a blessing to work with family.

00:44It's easy to be inspired by OG and we got another one.

00:48Just excited to get it out.

00:49He sent me the script and I read it.

00:51My first reaction was, let's do it.

00:54So I play the parole officer to Shmeek Moore's character.

00:57I'm the one trying to keep them on the straight and narrow.

01:00It was amazing.

01:01You know, I love multitasking.

01:02I love people who wear multiple hats.

01:04And you know, Rizzo, of course, what he does as a music icon, but also as a director and as an executive producer.

01:09He's been doing it for quite a few years now.

01:11I'm always down for that.

01:12I play Mrs. Carter, Paris Jackson's mother, Darla Carter.

01:18It was a great film to shoot and Paris is great.

01:21We had a good time.

01:22She's a great actress.

01:23It was a pleasure to work with her and a pleasure to work with Rizzo.
