00:00Hello everybody, what an absolutely cracking week we're having on House of Games this week.
00:14We've got four famous faces with us, we've had three separate winners in three days.
00:18Still absolutely no idea where this trophy is heading.
00:22Let's meet our players once again, shall we?
00:24They are Ashley John-Baptiste, Esme Young, Claire Sweeney and Simon Rimmer.
00:34Hi everyone.
00:35Hi.
00:35Hello.
00:36A win for everyone, a prize for everyone and the Queen of Hearts, Esme as well, making up our four.
00:43What a lovely week we're having and Simon, after two second places, finally a win yesterday.
00:47Does that relax you?
00:49Yeah, I think now that you sort of think, right, okay, whatever happens, I've got my umbrella.
00:54I've won a day.
00:55Whatever happens now, Richard, I'm happy.
00:57But also we've got your partner in crime, Tim Lovejoy, coming on soon.
01:01And imagine if he came on and won more than you, that would...
01:03And listen...
01:04Oh, don't put pressure on me now, Richard, because you know that's the pressure now.
01:08Simon, listen, you and I both know Tim Lovejoy.
01:11Is he really going to win more than you?
01:13I couldn't possibly say, Richard.
01:15No, you couldn't.
01:16He's competitive as you.
01:17I mean, come on.
01:20Let's take a look at our weekly leaderboard, shall we?
01:24Ashley, our winner on Monday, just one point off the lead.
01:29That's not too bad, is it?
01:31Just the one point off.
01:32How are you feeling about that trophy?
01:34I'm all right, you know.
01:35I've got my dartboard, so I'm chuffed just to be here now.
01:39It's just a bit of fun and good vibes now.
01:40Well, that's the thing.
01:41We've had some relaxing wins for three of you.
01:43Claire, as well.
01:45Two days to go, including double points Friday tomorrow.
01:47So the trophy could be yours as well.
01:49Yesterday, after your win, I could absolutely see you just sitting back just going,
01:53I'm just...
01:55And I nearly came last.
01:58Yeah, you relax a bit too much.
02:00Do you think you've got another win in you this week?
02:02I'll tell you what I really enjoyed yesterday, the music round.
02:05I guess in the intro, if there's anything like that, you know,
02:08I'm in with a good chance of doing all right.
02:10You absolutely bossed it, didn't you?
02:12So prizes for everyone, Esme, apart from you.
02:16And today we've put that right.
02:17Shall we take a look at today's prizes?
02:19Well, I don't think we will put it right.
02:24There is the wheelie luggage, the compost bin, the bike helmet,
02:30the reusable coffee cup and the deck of cards.
02:33What do you fancy there, Esme?
02:35Deck of cards.
02:36I mean, why not?
02:37Ashley, what would you go for?
02:38Do you know what?
02:39That luggage, that suitcase looks incredible.
02:42It's so conspicuous and I just want that for the clout.
02:47I want it for the clout.
02:48Finally, someone said it.
02:51Claire, anything that you want for the clout there?
02:53I think I'd wanted to find it in the airport.
02:55That one would be jumping out at you, wouldn't it?
02:57And Simon, what would you go for?
02:58It's got to be the coffee cup because I use coffee cups
03:01as a fashion accessory and things you just walk around with people.
03:05Oh, you've been in the house again?
03:07Oh, have I?
03:08Yes, I must have been.
03:10Another one I won.
03:11Yeah.
03:12One more show than Tim Lovedo.
03:14Yes.
03:14Yes, that was me.
03:16Exactly.
03:17Let's get on.
03:17Shall we play Thursday's House of Games?
03:19Three separate winners so far.
03:21Who is going to win today?
03:22Let's find out.
03:22Our first round is...
03:26Hidden in Plain Sight.
03:29Your category today is...
03:33Vegetables.
03:34What I'm going to do, I'm going to go along the line,
03:36starting with you, Ashley.
03:37I will show you a clue.
03:39You need just to find the answer to that clue.
03:40But the answer will actually be written within the clue.
03:43OK.
03:43So it'll appear there somewhere.
03:45OK.
03:46So which vegetable have we hidden here, Ashley?
03:51Don't let anyone tell you this starchy tuba is too bland
03:55to throw in the pot.
03:56A touch of seasoning can make all the difference.
03:59Oh, my days.
04:02Vegetable.
04:03Ah, got it.
04:05What is it?
04:05OK.
04:06Yeah.
04:08Oh, I can't see it.
04:11Shall we time you out and throw it onto the buzzers?
04:13I don't want to say yes, but...
04:15This is going to drive you insane.
04:16As soon as that goes red, the buzzers will be open.
04:19Oh!
04:20Simon, the chef.
04:21Potato.
04:22Potato.
04:23And where is it?
04:24It's in the pot a touch.
04:26Pot a touch.
04:27It's so frustrating when it's literally written there.
04:32Esme.
04:33Yeah?
04:33Esme, I have hidden the vegetable, and I beseech you to find it.
04:37I'll do my best.
04:38It's hidden here.
04:39This pungent, versatile vegetable is among the world's most common.
04:44I only wish it was kinder on the eyes.
04:48So smelly, versatile vegetable.
04:51Oh, onion.
04:56And where is it?
04:57The end of common.
04:58Common eye only.
05:00Absolutely right.
05:00Onion.
05:01Very well done.
05:04And Claire, a vegetable for you.
05:06I wonder if you can find it.
05:09This root vegetable is tender enough to eat raw,
05:12though if it's on the turn, I prefer to boil and mash it.
05:17Can you see that one at home?
05:20Ah.
05:21Ashley's got it.
05:24That is such intense looking.
05:29The pressure now.
05:31The pressure to find a vegetable.
05:33Yeah.
05:35I see Simon.
05:37Simon's like...
05:38Ash, we're on this.
05:40Simon and Ash are hovering.
05:44Claire, I'm going to time you out, I'm afraid.
05:47Simon.
05:48It's turnip.
05:49Turn I prefer.
05:50Turn, I prefer to earn it.
05:52Absolutely right, Simon.
05:54Well done.
05:55Is tender enough to eat raw?
05:58Would you eat turnip raw?
05:59Yeah, you can eat small ones, definitely.
06:01See what you learn on this show.
06:05Simon, we've hidden a vegetable.
06:06We need you to unearth it.
06:08The leaves of this vegetable are lovely and tender, but its characteristic hard, colourful stalks are better cooked separately.
06:18Chard.
06:19Chard is right.
06:20Where is it?
06:21Wow.
06:21A characteristic hard.
06:22Absolutely right.
06:23Chard.
06:23Well played, Simon.
06:25Oh, yes.
06:26Ashley, we go back to you with a new category.
06:29OK.
06:30And it's animated films.
06:31Here we go.
06:32So, hidden animated film in this clue.
06:43OK.
06:46Aladdin.
06:47And where is it?
06:48At the...
06:49Right at the front.
06:49A-lad.
06:50B-I-N.
06:51Absolutely right.
06:51Well done, Aladdin.
06:53Right at the front of the clue.
06:55Esme, here's an animated film for you.
06:58But which film is it?
06:58The owner of a circus might issue a memorandum boasting of this title character's ability to fly.
07:10The owner of a circus?
07:12Yeah.
07:13Who is the owner of a circus?
07:16Shall we time you out, Esme?
07:17Yeah, go on.
07:18Time you out.
07:18We've got a buzzer race on our hands.
07:20Who's going to win it?
07:22Simon wins it.
07:23Oh, he won't!
07:24How quick!
07:26Dumbo.
07:26Memorandum boasting.
07:28Absolutely.
07:28Dumbo.
07:31Claire, a hidden animated film.
07:34Somewhere in this clue.
07:37This film looks at the story of Rapunzel from a different angle.
07:41Definitely worth a watch.
07:42Mm-hmm.
07:43What?
07:46Where are you at home on this one?
07:47Do you know the film?
07:49Oh, this is hard.
07:52Rapunzel?
07:53I think if you'd seen the film, you'd get a bit.
07:54If you haven't seen the film...
07:56Yeah.
07:56It's a bit tricky.
07:57Shall we time you out?
08:01Ah!
08:02But is Simon going to win another buzzer race?
08:04Oh, yes.
08:05Yeah.
08:05I can't see it.
08:07Go on, time me out.
08:10Wow.
08:11He's done it again.
08:12Simon.
08:13Tangled.
08:14Tangled.
08:14It's different angle.
08:16Absolutely right.
08:16Different angle.
08:17Definitely tangled.
08:18Yes.
08:20I love that film as well.
08:22Simon.
08:22Oh.
08:23Final question in the round.
08:24Been a very good round for you indeed.
08:26An animated film?
08:27Artfully hidden.
08:30If you show your kids this film about a shape-shifting demigod
08:33and the daughter of a Polynesian chief,
08:35they're unlikely to moan.
08:37A fun treat for all ages.
08:39Pfft.
08:39You've got this at home.
08:43There are kids at home absolutely screaming this at the telly.
08:46Oh, right.
08:48Shall we time you out?
08:50Ah.
08:52Look at this.
08:53Uh-oh.
08:54I mean, this has got revenge written all over it, hasn't it?
08:56Yeah.
08:56We're going to time you out, Simon.
08:59Ah.
09:00And Ashley with a buzzer.
09:02Oh, no.
09:03Moana in Moan A.
09:04Moana in Moan A.
09:06Wow.
09:07Don't know it.
09:08Moan A.
09:08It's amazing.
09:10Yeah.
09:11Is it?
09:12What's it about?
09:12Kids go crazy for it.
09:13It's about a Polynesian chief.
09:15Is that the one that the guy who wrote Hamilton?
09:18Yeah.
09:18He's got all the songs.
09:19Oh, wow.
09:20The songs are just insanely good.
09:22Brilliant.
09:22Yeah.
09:23So, great round for Simon.
09:24Just strips up right at the very end,
09:25but I think the leaderboard is still going to look very good for him.
09:29Let's take a look, shall we?
09:29I did thought so.
09:31Claire, yet to get off the mark.
09:33Esme, you've got one.
09:34Ashley, you've got two.
09:35Simon Rimmer, yesterday's champion, out in the lead with five.
09:38Oh, wow.
09:39Very nice round.
09:41Let's play a pairs game, shall we?
09:42Today is going to be...
09:46You complete me, Claire.
09:49I wonder if you could choose a partner for this round.
09:51I'll go with Simon again.
09:53You're going to go with Simon again.
09:54So, Ashley and Esme, you're a team.
09:57Claire and Simon are a team.
09:58I'm relying on you.
10:00Now, fingers on buzzers, everyone.
10:02I'm going to read out a series of questions.
10:04Each of them has a two-word answer.
10:07If you buzz in, I just want you to give me the first word of the answer.
10:10Your partner then has to give me the second word for you to score a point.
10:14Wow.
10:14OK.
10:16Give me the first word of this answer, please.
10:18Which TV mockumentary stars its creators, siblings Daisy May and Charlie Cooper,
10:24as cousins Kerry and Curtin Mucklow?
10:30Yes, Simon.
10:32You should want me to give you the first word?
10:33Just the first word, please.
10:34This.
10:34This is correct for a point, Claire.
10:38Life.
10:39This life is incorrect.
10:41I can pass it across.
10:42What is it?
10:43You go for it, because I've no idea.
10:46Don't watch.
10:47I don't think he knows.
10:48I don't know.
10:50Well done at home.
10:51If you said Simon, it is.
10:52This country.
10:53This country.
10:53Oh, this country.
10:54Absolutely.
10:55I'm so sorry.
10:55This is so brilliant, this country as well.
10:57I love it.
10:57I love it.
10:58Here's your next one.
10:59Give me the first word of this answer, please.
11:10Yes, Simon.
11:12Barra.
11:13Barra is correct, Claire.
11:17Come on, you're from the North West.
11:19I don't know it, darling.
11:20You've been to North Wells for holiday.
11:21I have not got a clue.
11:22I only know Talaqa and Rill.
11:25And Barra, in fairness.
11:26I have no clue.
11:28I'd love it if the second word was inferness.
11:30In fairness, I know.
11:33Speckled bread.
11:35Barra.
11:36I'm really sorry, Simon.
11:38You either know it or you don't know it.
11:39It's one of those...
11:40Barra, barracuda.
11:42Barra.
11:43No.
11:44It is not.
11:44Anyone on this team?
11:45No.
11:46No.
11:46Simon?
11:47Barrabryth.
11:49Barrabryth is the answer.
11:50Never heard of it.
11:51In speckled bread.
11:52No.
11:53Well done if you knew that at home.
11:54Nice work if you did.

11:59What is the title of this song?
12:01Oh, I love the...
12:04Simon.
12:07Good.
12:08Good is correct.
12:09Claire, for a point.
12:10Vibrations.
12:10Vibrations.
12:11Of course it is.
12:12Yes.
12:13It's the right answer.
12:14Good Vibrations by the Beach Boys.
12:17I saw the Beach Boys.
12:19Did you?
12:19Yeah.
12:20Were they on your window ledge?
12:21I went back stage.
12:23Did you?
12:23With the Beach Boys?
12:24Yeah, blagged my way in.
12:25My friend.
12:27I was in 1970, 1969.
12:31Oh, wow.
12:32I think it was because my friend I went with, she's really, really good looking.
12:38So I think they thought, oh, yeah, get her in.
12:41And I follow behind.
12:43That doesn't sound like rock musicians.
12:45Next clue.
12:49What's the first word of this answer, please?
12:52Which 2006 romantic comedy stars Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz as characters who swap homes
12:57for Christmas?
13:01That is Ashley.
13:02The.
13:03The is correct.
13:06Come on, Esme.
13:07Esme.
13:08You've got this.
13:08I know you have.
13:09I've made things for Cameron Diaz.
13:11Have you?
13:11But you don't know the answer.
13:15No, I don't.
13:17But I don't know.
13:19Oh, unlucky.
13:20Sorry.
13:20No worries.
13:21No, to pass it over to the other team.
13:24Simon.
13:25Is it the Cranks?
13:26Is it the Cranks?
13:27It is not.
13:28Ashley.
13:29Holiday.
13:30The Holiday.
13:31Yeah, it is the Holiday.
13:32The Holiday.
13:33Next clue.
13:34First word of this answer, please.

13:45Simon.
13:46World.
13:47Correct.
13:48Claire for a point.
13:50Cup.
13:52Is it cup?
13:53It is not, I'm afraid.
13:54Anyone want to buzz in?
13:55Terrible baseball.
13:57Simon.
13:57World Series.
13:58World Series is the answer we were looking for.
14:00Well done if you said that at home.
14:02Next question.

14:23Nicely played.
14:24Final question in this round.
14:25Which character did John Travolta play in the 1978 film musical Grease?
14:33Yes, that's Claire.
14:34Danny.
14:35Danny is correct.
14:36Simon.
14:37I honestly don't know.
14:39I have absolutely no clue what his character is.
14:41Would you have got the first one?
14:42I would have.
14:43No.
14:43I wouldn't have got either of it.
14:44Anyone on the other team want to buzz in?
14:47No.
14:47Claire?
14:48Zuko.
14:49Danny Zuko is the answer.
14:51Zuko.
14:51Well done at home.
14:52Now we'll see it.
14:53Danny Zuko.
14:53It's the end of that round.
14:54Let's take a look at our scoreboard, shall we?
14:56Two rounds down.
14:57On Thursday's House of Games, everybody off the mark now.
15:02Esme has one point.
15:04Claire and Ashley, two points each.
15:06Simon Rimmer.
15:07Five-point lead with seven.
15:09Wow.
15:09How about that?
15:11Yesterday's champion.
15:11Oh, I think he's going to win.
15:12Is he going to make it two in a row?
15:14I wonder.
15:15Our next round is...
15:17It's all in the name.
15:22Fingers on buzzers, please.
15:23The answers in this round are all in the letters of your names.
15:26So buzz in if you know the answer, a point if you get a right answer,
15:29two points if it's based on your name.
15:31And the first two are based on your name.
15:34So somewhere in the letters of Ashley John-Baptiste,
15:36you'll find the answers to the following two clues.
15:38Point for a correct answer, two points for Ashley
15:41if you can get either of these.
15:44Olympic event in which Denise Lewis and Jessica Ennis-Hill

16:00BBC quiz show first hosted by Alexander Armstrong in 2009.
16:07Yes, that is Ashley.
16:09Pointless.
16:10Well, I've not heard of it, but...
16:12LAUGHTER
16:13Pointless. Absolutely right.
16:16Ironically for two points.
16:18Yes!
16:18He's very good, that Alexander Armstrong.
16:21Yeah, he's terrific.
16:21Terrific.
16:22Didn't let the other bloke who was on it.
16:23What a bore.
16:24Terrible.
16:24I mean, really, come on, mate.
16:26We're going to all wear glasses.
16:30Esme, the next two are in the letters of your name.
16:32So Esme Young is up there.
16:33So two points for Esme.
16:34If you get one of these, one point for anyone else.
16:36Mickey, Jerry, Pinky and the Brain are all cartoon versions of this animal.
16:44Ashley.
16:45Mouse.
16:46Mouse?
16:47Oh, yeah.
