00:00It's been 10 years.
00:0110 years.
00:022015.
00:03I remember I was editing the first episode during the Super Bowl.
00:05We are going to be reviewing some macaroni and cheese on our new program, Boxed Mac.
00:09Some people ask, they go, what are you going to do for the 10th anniversary of Boxed Mac?
00:13We're going to unbox a s**tload of boxes.
00:15A s**tload.
00:16This is the most boxes I've ever seen.
00:18And, from what I've heard from the rumors, we're going to do it all right now.
00:27Now that we've been doing this for 10 years, I've learned what the timeline looks like.
00:29The entire fall and holiday season is completely packed with content creation.
00:33Yep.
00:34Not to mention the podcast and stuff takes us away.
00:36Sure, sure.
00:37There's just so much to do.
00:38And then boxes start coming in and coming in.
00:40I'm like, maybe someday.
00:41I feel like you could have announced that more viral.
00:44Like, this is the 10 year, 100 box, 24 hour challenge.
00:48Might as well jump.
00:50Yeah.
00:51Well, let's just start with.
00:52Well, look at this.
00:53We talked about these and I am so happy to see one of these in my home and now in my life.
00:58Look at these cute little baskets.
01:00Are they for sale or buy one?
01:01They should be selling fixtures because I would absolutely buy one of these.
01:04Yeah, we could ask.
01:05What's in Junt's Teeny Party City card?
01:07We wanted these little baskets and we wanted some shopping carts, potentially.
01:10The shopping carts might have been just us in our high.
01:12Yeah, in our high.
01:13I think we're having a high.
01:14A champagne high.
01:15And they never called us.
01:16And then Frank and I went back to the store to just see where they were at with the sales.
01:19And those were on sale.
01:20What?
01:21Five dollars a piece.
01:22They were never going to call us.
01:23Yep.
01:24I love it.
01:25Thank you so much for bringing it up for me.
01:26What are you going to put in it?
01:27It's got a lovely size and depth.
01:28I don't know exactly what I'll put in it, but I'll find something.
01:30Maybe some computer parts in the lab?
01:32You know, the first thought that came to my mind, because I'm such an old man, I take
01:34a lot of vitamins and supplements.
01:35I could put all my vitamins and supplements in here.
01:37Yeah, this could be your medication basket.
01:39Yeah, exactly.
01:40That's getting old, right?
01:41My first thought was because it says Party City on it, like party supplies.
01:45Napkins and for the summer party.
01:47You could put the smallest of your false graph in there.
01:50Yes.
01:51The next thing I want to do is our fan, Super Anthony, sent us like gifts.
01:56You know when it's Christmas time?
01:58I do.
01:59And someone like gives you like a tree full of gifts?
02:01Yeah.
02:02Well, we got that.
02:03And he also put together like a video about the gifts.
02:04Yes, he did.
02:05I wanted to send this as a thank you for a while now.
02:08People are extension of who they surround themselves with.
02:11So, Laserdiscs.
02:12Yep.
02:13You don't know this about me yet.
02:14I found a guy in Canton, giant Frankenstein tall guy.
02:19Yeah.
02:20He just keeps sourcing Laserdiscs and he's selling them for $5.
02:24He's in like a relationship with him.
02:26They've got a thing.
02:27It's like when somebody goes shopping for designer bags and then they assign like a salesperson
02:31to you who will reach out to you and be like, this really expensive bag.
02:33Look, I got a really nice bag.
02:35So the other night, I'm driving home from Boston.
02:37I'm making good time.
02:38Yeah.
02:39And I see the Facebook classified and he's got it.
02:42There's a bunch of new stuff.
02:43There's like Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, the Fisher King, some new Disney box sets.
02:47And I'm like, I think I could make it to Canton.
02:49I don't tell Nina.
02:50And I walk into the house with two giant boxes.
02:54Like, you know, there's rainwater all over my hair.
02:58And she's like, I knew you were in Canton.
03:00So this GIF predates that, which Anthony was like, I know you do some things with Laserdiscs.
03:06He's like, but he's like, I think you have a Laserdisc collection now.
03:09I'd asked you about Laserdiscs and you kind of sounded like you could take them or leave them.
03:13Yeah, you know, but I probably don't want to add, you know, I already have collections.
03:16I probably don't want to add a new collection.
03:18So I was kind of like, oh man, maybe the Laserdisc isn't a good idea.
03:22And then there's a video with Levi.
03:24You know, you seem so appreciative of the Laserdisc that he got you.
03:27Oh my God.
03:29That's the best thing ever.
03:31I found this brand new on eBay.
03:33It was brand new.
03:34And yeah, I guess you have to start collecting Laserdiscs now.
03:37I think you've started.
03:38I think you're on the path of a Laserdisc collection.
03:41So you bought me this collectible Star Wars.
03:43Oh my goodness.
03:44And for the people who don't know, like there was a long time there.
03:47It's still sort of technically true where the Star Wars Laserdisc collection was the highest resolution of the original theatrical releases you could get.
03:56Yes.
03:57I happen to have them already, but not this beautiful box set.
04:00Yeah.
04:01But I'm like, okay, but he probably has a Star Wars Laserdisc.
04:05He probably has Star Wars related media.
04:08So it needs to be good.
04:10What was the last time you had a Laserdisc in your hands?
04:12It's been years.
04:13I have a Laserdisc player.
04:14Do you really?
04:15Yeah, I do.
04:16There's nothing about Laserdisc collection.
04:17And I have a small collection of Laserdiscs.
04:19I have like Free Willy.
04:20I have Interview with a Vampire.
04:22I have a bunch of stuff you could get at Suncoast in the discount bin at the time.
04:25Oh my God.
04:26Look at this.
04:27This is incredible.
04:28Oh, they're so nice too.
04:29And it's multi-disc per movie, right?
04:31Of course.
04:32Three discs per movie.
04:33Wow.
04:34All individually sleeve.
04:35With this George Lucas book.
04:36Holy cow.
04:37This is like a mint set too.
04:38This hasn't even been like, the book is still sealed.
04:40This actually was wrapped and I unwrapped it.
04:43Can I just say I love the medium of Laserdisc?
04:45I love the format, like the size of the physical disc.
04:47You love a nice like giant beefy looking thing.
04:49I do.
04:50They're just like mega CDs.
04:51But Frankie explains to me that they're eventually all going to rot.
04:54Are they?
04:55Yeah.
04:56So we have to rush to watch them all before they rot.
04:57Yeah, enjoy them while you can.
04:58And we have been watching Laserdisc at home.
05:00Gloria was watching Hunchback the other day.
05:01Yep.
05:02I watched Gone with the Wind.
05:03It's just like a giant CD.
05:04Did you know that there's a small format Laserdisc?
05:07Spinal Tap, in 1992, put out this thing called Break Like the Wind.
05:11And it was a bunch of new funny songs.
05:13And they released one that was like 10 minutes long and it was just two songs.
05:17And I bought it and it was like a small format Laserdisc.
05:20Really?
05:21And what I've learned is that the video is analog, the audio is digital.
05:24Yes.
05:25So then he gives to Nina.
05:26This is a box of strange and unusual garden seeds.
05:30Gardening, I thought would be tricky because it's like, well, I don't know much about gardening
05:36myself.
05:37So Etsy, I thought Etsy was the right place to get this gift.
05:40I like the marketing ploy here.
05:42It says strange, unusual gardening seeds.
05:46So some of them are things that actually do eat commonly like spaghetti squash.
05:50But then there are things like tomatillos, garlic chive and purple radish, okra, pink cranberry
05:56bean, all kinds of strange stuff I'm going to attempt to grow.
05:59It's probably my favorite gift I've ever been given as an adult woman.
06:05It's consumable.
06:06Like I'm not left with a thing that I'm like, oh, did I use that?
06:10Did I not use it?
06:11When it comes with like cards with information, it comes with nice packaging.
06:15You could reuse the vials.
06:17And I get little adorable glass bottles afterward to do.
06:20I don't know what with, but it appeals to me.
06:22Maybe you could put it in your party city basket.
06:24Yeah.
06:25He could put his vitamins in them.
06:26Yes.
06:27So this is, you know, should I film it for you?
06:30Sure.
06:31Maybe Nina could.
06:32Would you be able to film him?
06:33Yeah.
06:34Are you tethered?
06:35Oh yeah.
06:36No, you're good.
06:37Yeah.
06:38Can I just say I love the vintage wrapping paper too?
06:40I don't know if it's vintage or not, but I love the style.
06:42Yeah, it's like a bonfire.
06:43Like I want to hang out here.
06:44So this is a record player, but this is like what they market like boomers.
06:50I've done nothing about turntables or records.
06:53I have the Muppet Christmas Carol.
06:54I don't have a vinyl player and I really want to just get, I was, I actually want one.
06:59I think it looks cool.
07:00And it's not just a record player.
07:02Apparently you could play all kinds of music on it.
07:05But this also has a cassette and CD player.
07:07And you know what I'm going to do is I'm going to put this on top of my wood grain CRT.
07:13There you go.
07:14Doesn't that look nice?
07:15And I don't care who calls you a hipster.
07:17There is not a cabin that I want to hang out on this one, but it's still lovely.
07:20It's still nice.
07:26The Spin Doctors.
07:27Pocket full of kryptonite.
07:28So in my Super Nintendo video, I talk about how when I played Legend of Zelda Link to the Past,
07:35I got it on my birthday in 1994.
07:38And my sister got me the cassette tape of Spin Doctors pocket full of kryptonite.
07:42So whenever I play Zelda Link to the Past, I think of this album.
07:47I remember in like one of your NES videos.
07:51One, two, Princess Neil before.
07:53And like Nina, this is the most thoughtful gift I have ever received in my life.
07:57Excellent.
07:59And then this was for you and your kids too.
08:01And we got the same one actually.
08:02Oh, this one has a nice serene deer.
08:04I'm like in a real good mood after seeing this.
08:07This biggest story Bible storybook.
08:10I remember as a little kid, I had this book of Bible stories.
08:13Probably everything I know about the Bible probably came in that.
08:16This is much, much nicer looking than the one that I had.
08:21Oh, this is really cool.
08:22We've been reading it.
08:23It's beautifully illustrated and it's like well-written for kids.
08:26And like a little bit funny.
08:28We don't have anything like this.
08:29So I think this, this will be actually really helpful.
08:31Actually, Gabriel is going to be making his first communion.
08:34Oh yeah, of course.
08:35So this will be very good.
08:36And while I'm sitting here, I might as well do this.
08:38This is from somebody else.
08:39So you got a Facebook message.
08:41Yeah.
08:42And he was like, anybody out there in red cow land that likes Zelda?
08:45And I said, I know a guy.
08:47Every Sunday, 9.30 Eastern time, I do a series called All the Zeldas.
08:52So he sent me this and a little note said, DJ got this as a secret Santa gift, but I'm not a Zelda guy.
08:58Thought you might think it's cool.
09:00Doug Peterson.
09:01Look at it.
09:02It's got the Nintendo case.
09:03You pull it out and it looks like a giant Zelda cartridge.
09:07When we got to NES, we got two games.
09:09It was, you know, Super Mario Duck Hunt and it was this.
09:12Yeah.
09:13This was our first game that we bought.
09:14So this is the Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia.
09:16So it covers all the way up to Breath of the Wild because I think it was released right before Breath of the Wild.
09:20Art, it's lore, it's like developer notes.
09:24I like that the edges of the paper are gold.
09:26Yeah.
09:27So that when you close it.
09:28Yeah.
09:29So I took this out of the box the other day and my kids are like, what is that?
09:33Cause they're huge Zelda fans too.
09:35They love Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
09:38So there's nothing on that in here, but still, I'm going to actually have a good time looking through this book.
09:42You know, just even like all the enemy artwork and tells what all the monsters are.
09:47Do you have a coffee table at home?
09:49I don't.
09:50I need a coffee table to put some of these books on.
09:52Oh, here's the other thing.
09:53It comes with a recreation of the NES manual.
09:57It's the story, but it's a guide to the encyclopedia.
09:59That's really cool.
10:00So it's got the art that was in the manual.
10:03So it's new content, but in the format.
10:05And I still have the instruction book.
10:07So this is, that's really fun.
10:08Very nice.
10:09And I did just want to highlight, Super Anthony also generously sent me an eBay gift card,
10:14which I did actually buy something with.
10:16Should I get it and show you?
10:17Yeah, yeah, of course.
10:18The reason that he got John a generous eBay gift card was cause he actually bought John a super advantage for the SNES.
10:25He ran it by me and I was like, well, actually, John does have that.
10:28It's in the thumbnail of one of the Junt SNES videos.
10:30And he was like, oh, I can't, I can't stand to give him something he already has.
10:34So when you get the man who has everything.
10:36And when I saw this, this was clearly the coolest looking thing I could find.
10:40Like the super advantage, right?
10:42This is Nintendo's first party.
10:43I messed up here.
10:44I got all excited about controllers, but there's no excuse for this because it's like,
10:49it's like right in one of the thumbnails.
10:51So no, no, that's not cool.
10:53Doing some more listening.
10:55I picked this up from John.
10:57I have been using eBay basically since it started.
10:59So cool.
11:00We got you a gift card for eBay.
11:02But I see what John got with it.
11:05Oh my God.
11:07Using his gift card and a little of my own money too.
11:10I have purchased the false graph rooster.
11:13The rarest of all false graph.
11:14The rarest and most expensive false graph.
11:17He's going to be so happy to hear that.
11:18Wait a minute.
11:19So since you cracked the dough bowl, should we crack that just for like?
11:22John owns a false graph village rooster, a collector's piece of which only 500 were made.
11:29It is false.
11:30They are very rare and very expensive.
11:33And I'd love to have one.
11:34I figured I would have seen it.
11:35I thought it would be displayed prominently in one of our contents.
11:38It's hand numbered.
11:41This is number 273 or 283 out of 500.
11:46You got one.
11:47And I have it.
11:48You would.
11:50The reason that the bowl got cracked was because his car seat has some kind of automated like this is John's size.
11:56Yes.
11:57And I got in the car and I was like, no, wait, no, no.
12:00I have a rooster question.
12:01Yes.
12:02I have a false graph question.
12:03Sure.
12:04Is that the only purely ornamental piece of false graph?
12:07See, I recently got another new piece right there next to the bathroom.
12:10It's a jello mold, but it's not a practical jello mold.
12:13Did you scotch tape it to the wall?
12:15No, it's designed to hang to the wall.
12:17Oh, okay.
12:18It's got a little thing in it.
12:19And like the clock too is kind of decorative.
12:20Oh, okay.
12:21There's a few pieces, but this is the one that's like, if you have this, you're just really being silly.
12:26I've collected a few pieces of Village because that was what was in my house growing up.
12:31Yup.
12:32And I love them.
12:33And Frankie was like, if you want to just change over all of our dishes to Village, I'll support that.
12:37And I was like, I can't go there.
12:38I was like, I know a guy who probably would sell us some.
12:40From here, I don't think I have a strategy.
12:42Sure.
12:43No strategy, no plan.
12:44Let's just see what we get.
12:45I'm looking for a note before we start revealing content.
12:47Oh my.
12:48This is one of the ones I was the most excited about getting.
12:50Okay, okay.
12:51And if there's no note, I may have to go into my email.
12:54Sure.
12:55Log into my email.
12:56I might have to log in.
12:57You might have to log in.
12:58Are you tired of logging in?
12:59Yes.
13:00Yes.
13:01God, yes.
13:02We got a note from a guy named Nolan last May.
13:04Okay.
13:05I'm sorry.
13:06My name is Nolan and I am the president at Enterprise CP in Long Prairie, Minnesota.
13:11I came across your YouTube channel a few months back and love the mac and cheese content.
13:15We are a mac and cheese manufacturer that produces over 100 million boxes of mac and cheese annually.
13:19Whoa.
13:20100 million macs and cheeses.
13:21That's a lot of boxes of macaroni and cheese.
13:23Half of what we produce is private label mac and cheese for big box stores.
13:26The other half is our company brand, Premier Pantry, which is sold mostly to food insecurity outlets and food bank networks.
13:33Okay.
13:34We currently launched a deluxe mac and a premium shells in Dollar Tree in our premier pantry label.
13:39I was checking to see if you would be interested in reviewing our product if we sent you some samples.
13:43I wanted to also send my appreciation for the positive comments on the Rapid Mac cooker as ECP purchased the Rapid Mac trademark and the cooker business last fall.
13:52Whoa.
13:53He owns the Rapid Mac.
13:54He owns the Rapid Mac.
13:55He owns the Rapid Mac.
13:56I'll get some product and some limited run red cookers sent your way.
13:58We're also working, so they're, these are red cookers.
14:00I have never seen a red one before to be honest.
14:02We're also working on some new products that are specially designed for the Rapid Mac cooker that I will send your way once we have a final formula.
14:07These are actually really nice and I, you know, I don't make a ton of macaroni and cheese nowadays.
14:12But when I do, I still use my Rapid Mac and it's getting a little worn out.
14:17So having a new one.
14:18You can have four.
14:20Do you want one?
14:21Yeah.
14:22It also says it's great for canned soup and ravioli.
14:24It suggests other things you can make.
14:26Oh, this dude, he has a cereal in the, in the Rapid Mac.
14:28You know this.
14:29Yeah, I know.
14:30Oh, do you use this as a cereal bowl?
14:31I do.
14:32It's got an extra use.
14:34It's the perfect size and depth.
14:36I object.
14:37I don't want to eat cereal out of something squared.
14:42I disagree with you.
14:43I don't mind the squareness.
14:44Bowl.
14:45Honestly, when I've gone to cereal now, I use my, my Falzgraf deep cereal bowls, TM.
14:50From the Falzgraf deep line.
14:51Yes.
14:52Do you think that they're different in any way?
14:54No, I just took a look.
14:55They're exactly the same.
14:56Oh, they're just red.
14:57It's still called Rapid Mac cooker.
14:58Yes.
14:59The imprint on the bottom is exactly the same.
15:00The lines are the same.
15:01Actually, it's a little bit different than the, than the one I have, but mine's very old.
15:05In 10 years of box mac, technology has advanced.
15:08If nothing else, plastic molding has advanced.
15:10Can you believe that 10 years ago, we had a little meme about, we're going to use the
15:13Rapid Mac cooker.
15:14Yeah.
15:15And 10 years later, the guy who owns it is like, have the new ones.
15:19A quarter of a lifetime away.
15:20What was the contraption that had the ingredient hole?
15:23Oh, that ridiculous thing.
15:25Yeah.
15:26I don't think that that continued.
15:27Oh, it's too hot to touch.
15:29Don't touch the ingredient hole.
15:32Don't you think we do have to do these?
15:33Of course.
15:34But in the Rapid Macs.
15:35There's no reason to make them on the stove.
15:36Oh, sure.
15:37We totally could do it in the Rapid Mac.
15:38But didn't he say these aren't formulated for the Rapid Mac?
15:40Did he say that?
15:41I think so.
15:42He said they're working on a formula that works better.
15:45How do you not have it formulated for the Rapid Mac?
15:47I trust the Rapid Mac.
15:48It's very difficult to get the right amount of water with these.
15:50Do you want to do an episode?
15:51Because we have plenty.
15:52Sure.
15:53We do each in the Rapid.
15:54Yep.
15:55Each on the stove.
15:56Yeah.
15:57We have done it before.
15:58Is the Rapid Mac just a bowl and you cooked it in a non-Rapid Mac?
16:01Yeah.
16:02And we proved it was just a bowl?
16:03It was just a bowl.
16:04Yeah.
16:05It's just a bowl.
16:06What technology is present here?
16:07What we didn't test was, is the stove cooked Mac better?
16:10Yes.
16:11Did we never test that, really?
16:12I don't think we did.
16:13Wow.
16:14We'll have to go back.
16:15It's been 10 years.
16:16We're going to compare the stove version to the Rapid Mac version and see how good is
16:21it.
16:22Here's the Rapid Mac and here's the stove top Mac.
16:24Pretty close.
16:25I can only taste a tiny bit of difference between these.
16:27It tastes just a tiny bit more buttery.
16:29A little bit more gritty.
16:30So I'm really excited about it.
16:31Yes, I am too.
16:32This is awesome.
16:33Were the directions written on the bottom of the old Rapid Mac?
16:35They were.
16:36This has the instructions.
16:37That's one way it's not a bowl.
16:38Yeah, that's right.
16:39It's got the proper lines and everything.
16:41It's got the lines and everything.
16:42The lines and everything.
16:43Oh, jeez.
16:44And you got the stink lines and everything.
16:47What is this fascinating box and label?
16:49So it's from Kate MacMoney and it's from Canada.
16:52Oh, I think this is from Lynx who gave us, we put it on the podcast, there's a 3D printed
16:57cow.
16:58Okay.
16:59Red cow with headphones.
17:00Oh, cool.
17:01Beautiful.
17:02And she sent us Canadian snacks.
17:03Ooh.
17:04There might be other snack boxes.
17:05Yeah.
17:06Perhaps we'll come back to the snack box.
17:07Sure.
17:08That sounds good.
17:09So shake all the boxes and see if there's Mac in them.
17:10Mac.
17:11Mac.
17:12Wow.
17:13There's a drawing.
17:14I love the drawings.
17:15When they go a little further with the notes.
17:16Oh, wow.
17:17That's a nice noodle.
17:18That's a nice noodle.
17:19That's a nice noodle.
17:20Thank you for all the entertaining films.
17:21Box Mac, no views, Junt's Nest, etc.
17:23And don't forget EJ's popcorn videos.
17:25I have enjoyed them all.
17:26A picture of a macaroni noodle.
17:28Thanks.
17:29Signed, Star Wars Betamax.
17:30Also, Gracia and Calvin.
17:32Calvin, I hope you enjoy the Goodwill mac and cheese.
17:35Goodwill mac and cheese?
17:36It's Pasta USA branded for 59 cents.
17:40Wow.
17:4159 cent mac and 10 years later.
17:43You know, in 2015, I think, remember we did like a battle of the cheaps?
17:46Mm-hmm.
17:47In the first, we used to brand the episodes a little bit differently.
17:49Yeah.
17:50Today, how low can you go?
17:51Let's do it again.
17:52And I think the cheapest one at that time is 39 cents.
17:56I was going to say 39 cents.
17:5739.
17:5839.
17:59It's the cheapest you've found in your life.
18:01In my life, 39 and a half cents.
18:03I couldn't go any lower.
18:04These lovely little, I don't know exactly what they are, some kind of candy named Gloria's.
18:08Gloria's.
18:09Wow.
18:10Ingredients, goat milk, sugar, corn syrup, pecan, sodium bicarb, potassium sorbate as preservative,
18:16contains milk and pecans.
18:17It contains goat milk and red five.
18:20No, I didn't see any dyes in there.
18:24People really like my RFK sugar.
18:26They're called Gloria's and we're going to put people on an organic farm.
18:30They're 79 cents, so they're more expensive, three of these are more expensive than that one.
18:34That's right.
18:35Some mac and cheese lip balm.
18:37Wow.
18:38Goes straight to the, this is also something that should go straight to Gloria.
18:41Various small candies.
18:42Various small candies?
18:43The ones that are clearly watermelon I'd like to try.
18:45This is a well-used, it's a guinea, 2,000 guineas.
18:49I think my man is from Mexico.
18:52From the Republic of Guinea.
18:55F***ing terrible.
18:56Is it?
18:57No.
18:58Oh, it's like salty.
19:02Oh, okay.
19:04They said sour, but they meant salty.
19:08Well, thank you so much for your lovely gift.
19:12Thank you Star Wars Betamax.
19:14Oh, Levi.
19:15Levi Reed did our VHS's.
19:17Oh, okay.
19:18It's the whole reason that VHS's exist.
19:20It all started when he said, can I cut together a best of VHS for myself?
19:23Yeah.
19:24Because I collect for VHS.
19:25And I kind of like took that to mean like, why don't we make, why don't we make one for
19:29everybody in the whole class?
19:30Yeah.
19:31He was the one who was like, well, I'm going to cut the whole thing to be four by three.
19:33That's okay.
19:34And then we started working on it together and eventually got sleeves.
19:36And it became, I think one of my favorite projects in the entire 24th.
19:39Yeah, they're amazing.
19:40They're awesome.
19:41And then he then became what we call a slob.
19:43He became an editor for us.
19:44Yep.
19:45For the podcast.
19:46And, you know, we talked to him daily.
19:47He's a great guy.
19:48Yep.
19:49He's a veteran.
19:50And he sent us mac and cheese.
19:51Very cool.
19:52As for the Mac, they are a smidge exclusive as they are only available at U.S. military-
19:56Commissaries.
19:57Commissaries.
19:58As only 1% of the country serves in our armed forces, not many folks have access.
20:03Whether good or bad, this is an opportunity to try it without having to raise your right hand.
20:07Send my best to all of you and have been honored to be able to work so closely with the channel on projects.
20:13Here's to many more.
20:14Your tape maker and humble slob, Levi Reid.
20:17How lovely.
20:18Freedom's choice.
20:19That's pretty cool.
20:20Our most local commissary is in Newport, Rhode Island.
20:23You know what?
20:24This would be my 4th of July episode.
20:25Ah, yes.
20:26Yes it would.
20:27A little box to Frankie Frane.
20:29He's got a letter.
20:30Carb a diem.
20:32These are foreign Macs.
20:34Dear Team Red Cow, it's been a while.
20:36I blame the pandemic.
20:37You know who sent this?
20:38Her name is Emily.
20:39She used to make miniature versions of herself on Instagram all around the world.
20:44And she made like miniature mac and cheese and her holding mini-
20:47Do you remember this?
20:48I remember this.
20:49This is her.
20:50Hello from the UK and the person with the dolls again.
20:53Sending you some Macs I picked up in Germany and Malaysia where my relatives are.
20:57Take care and thanks again for all the entertainment.
20:59Emily.
21:00We've got this.
21:01This I think is a German Mac.
21:02Yeah.
21:03Of some kind.
21:04A Prego mac and cheese.
21:06And then this fascinating little packet which just must be just the cheese sauce and you
21:12add your own pasta.
21:13Some lovely caramel wafer biscuits.
21:16I think that should be set aside for the snack portion.
21:18I think it should.
21:19Oh yeah, what's in the green?
21:20Sure.
21:21I think actually that was another part of Anthony's gifts.
21:23Oh.
21:24It's a heavy one.
21:25Right.
21:26There were more Bibles.
21:27No, no.
21:28You get two.
21:29Each of your children get one.
21:30They don't have to share.
21:31This other one that we got.
21:32Right.
21:33Okay.
21:34Good.
21:35You get Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Samuel, Kings, Chronicles,
21:39Ezra, hundreds of proverbs.
21:41Plus you get the New and Old Testament for $16.
21:44So they can have a preference.
21:46So if they're like, they don't know if they're NLT people or NASB people, they can figure that out.
21:50Can you explain that for me?
21:52Explain it.
21:53Explain it, Nina.
21:54So there's lots of different versions of the Bible, which I didn't know.
21:56I grew up Catholic.
21:57I grew up King James version of the Bible.
21:59Like that's it.
22:00Apparently there's like the New Living Translation.
22:02There's the North American Standard Bible.
22:03Which is a little bit more anointed.
22:05Which is a little...
22:06That's the joke at our church.
22:07The overwhelming majority of translation here is in you.
22:12That's why I like the New American Standard Bible.
22:14It's just...
22:17It's a little more anointed.
22:19There's like big brouhaha at our church about which Bible they preach from.
22:23Or the brouhaha is kind of a joke.
22:25By the way, I have a brand new Bible this morning that I just got in the mail.
22:31And it's a New Living Translation.
22:33So...
22:34Nope.
22:35Security, take names of all those people.
22:37It just made noise.
22:38Our pastor either lost or he needed to have his rebound.
22:41And so somebody gave him the New Living Translation and he's having to preach out of that.
22:44And it's just thrown him completely off.
22:47Did it really?
22:48Everybody say thank the Lord that we got our Bible back.
22:51Okay?
22:52For those of you that were praying, I finally got my trusty NASB back.
22:55And I feel the anointing.
22:57There's sort of like gradients.
22:58Like the King James is a little bit more antiquated.
23:01You know, the language in it isn't as accessible for everybody.
23:04New Living is sort of like...
23:06If you're used to the King James, it's a little bit like toddler speak.
23:09This is from the New Living Translation.
23:11Now that word breath...
23:13Yup.
23:14Could you put it back on the NASB?
23:16We've had just about enough of that this morning.
23:19Yeah, thank you.
23:20If the pastor was looking to do a big interpretation,
23:23one translation might not make the interpretation possible.
23:26Yeah.
23:27Like you can't now make that bridge.
23:28Yeah, you can't make that bridge.
23:29We are in the New Living Translation this morning.
23:36People get excited about the Word of God here.
23:38If you're visiting, it's just...
23:40Yeah, people get excited.
23:42Holy cow.
23:43Somebody has spent a hundred Australian dollars.
23:45Whoa!
23:46My goodness.
23:47Hi Frankie and John.
23:48I've been watching your videos for a few years now and I recently bought the Blu-rays.
23:52Earlier this year, I found a new theme of Australian Macs made by Lord of the Fries.
23:56I've also sent a couple of Big Cheese Easy Macs, an assortment of Australian candy,
24:01and some Hello Kitty shaped pasta I found in an Asian grocery store.
24:05Looking forward to seeing you try them.
24:06Tim.
24:07So, Tim Sidney is his name?
24:08Tim Sidney from Australia?
24:09Yeah.
24:10Wow.
24:11That'd be like if my name was like Frankie Massachusetts.
24:15I love this Hello Kitty pasta.
24:17That is so cute.
24:18And we've got these Big Cheese Macs, which I have obviously never heard of.
24:22A lot of varieties of these vegan macaroni and cheeses.
24:27The vegan looks like an explicit label.
24:29Yes.
24:30I'm going to listen to my Fuji's album while I eat this cheese.
24:33X going to give it to you!
24:34I saw a thing, it was the Reading Rainbow theme with DMX hyping it.
24:38Cut!
24:39Butterfly in the sky!
24:41Come on!
24:42I can go twice as high!
24:43Let's get it on!
24:44Look at this, this bevy of snacks here.
24:47Where's Matt when you need him?
24:48All right, we're saving this for the snack portion.
24:52I told you there's a lot of boxes.
24:53There are a lot of boxes.
24:54Every time a new one came in I was like, oh no.
24:56What?
24:57What?
24:58I know this Mac, I love this Mac.
25:00No note?
25:01Who sent it?
25:02It's from Arizona, I know that much.
25:03Yep.
25:04You guys live this magical life where mystery boxes of macaroni and cheese and snacks
25:07show up in your world.
25:08Piggly Wiggly Macs that I don't think we've ever done.
25:12And these which are fascinating because they're Rice-a-roni branded macaroni and cheeses.
25:16But they're Mac-a-roni.
25:17They're Mac-a-roni.
25:18There's no rice but they have the Rice-a-roni brand in the corner and the Rice-a-roni brand name.
25:23Are the instructions just like Kraft Mac instructions?
25:26Just stock standard, Dana.
25:28The absolute motion.
25:31Mac of Macs.
25:32We'll do a quick search for Arizona.
25:34Tucson, Arizona.
25:35This is the way we talk in Tucson, Arizona.
25:38You wanted to have your final human orgasm.
25:41I got nothing.
25:42I have no idea.
25:43Well thank you mystery internet person for these random selection of Macs.
25:47This is a delicious Mac we've had before which I will just eat independently on my own free time.
25:52So it's time for the 10th annual.
25:55The 10th annual.
25:56Snack tasting.
25:57One awful candy per bag.
25:59I'm sure they're not going to be awful.
26:02Right?
26:03That banana flavored one is going to be awful.
26:05Alright, Nina.
26:06We're starting with it.
26:07Artificial banana flavor is the worst artificial flavor.
26:13Well.
26:14It's the artificial banana flavor in a candy that I would never consume normally.
26:19What you're not getting is the ridiculous texture.
26:23It looks like circus peanuts.
26:24It's asbestos.
26:25Oh, it's like stale circus peanuts.
26:27It's too sweet.
26:29To add some, you know, standard John Lovaty.
26:31John Lovaty.
26:32It's too sweet.
26:33Oh, but these are cute.
26:34Chocolate monsters.
26:35Milk chocolate with popping candy and sherbet chips, not sorbet.
26:39Gloria, do you want to try some candy from strangers?
26:41I got some sort of a lizard creature playing a guitar.
26:43It's distinctly milk chocolate.
26:45It's pretty good quality milk chocolate, but it's very milky.
26:47There's not a lot of chocolate in it.
26:48But it's got the pop rocks in it, which kind of adds a weird secondary favor.
26:53It's interesting.
26:54They're Wiz Fizz branded.
26:56Sherbet bombs.
26:57Is Sherbet like super popular out there?
26:59You like lemon?
27:00I do, I love lemon.
27:01Nina recently got some kind of lemon candy for some sort of old lady ailment.
27:03Those old fashioned like dusted lemon drops.
27:05Oh yeah.
27:06They're great.
27:07She's like, I'm going to need some lemon candy.
27:09It's a hard candy.
27:10But you like blue or orange.
27:12Blue.
27:13No one chooses orange.
27:15They're kind of tasty.
27:16They're very mild.
27:17They're not too sweet.
27:18I moderate to severe excasia in my jaw.
27:21She got old on me.
27:22We're all getting old on each other.
27:24She got old on me.
27:25Oh, it's too hard.
27:26It's not, it's like a sucking candy.
27:28It's not a...
27:29It's a sucking candy.
27:30It's mild to severe.
27:32Something happened.
27:33Did it release?
27:35It's mild, but it's like soapy.
27:36I think anything that you're going to suck on for a long period of time should not be this
27:41humongous.
27:42I'm chewing it because it has like the stale Skittles texture.
27:45It's half of my mouth is consumed.
27:47Yeah.
27:48The other half is free.
27:49I like the texture, but not the flavor.
27:50You like the texture?
27:51What texture?
27:52Chewy.
27:53Chewy?
27:54It is not chewy.
27:55If I start chewing into this...
27:57Oh no, it has some chew if you really give in to it.
28:00I'm not giving in.
28:01Can you get some spitting napkins?
28:03I can't keep doing this.
28:04I don't advise biting them.
28:07I don't advise it.
28:09Did, like, a tooth come out?
28:11I got Polly waffle bites.
28:13Milk chocolate and wafer coated marshmallow.
28:15That sounds pleasing.
28:16Oh, that's going to be great.
28:17Hello, you absolute Pollywongs.
28:19It's the nicest of all the candies we've had so far.
28:21I like that when you chew, it's meant to have been chewed.
28:23It's meant to have been chewed?
28:24Yep.
28:25No.
28:26I actually like it.
28:27It's not bad.
28:28You hate it?
28:29So much so you spit it?
28:30It's not for Nina.
28:32Alright, we've got Cadbury branded, a classic candy brand.
28:35Pascal Klinkers.
28:37I have no idea.
28:39I feel like this is two brands combined together that I know nothing about.
28:42Pascal's Klinkers.
28:43Oy!
28:44Oh.
28:48It was like a pistachio in there.
28:50Is this why there's not a big obesity problem in Australia?
28:53Can you use your words?
28:55I'm so curious.
28:56So inside, Nina, there is an extremely dry, sugary, flavored candy concoction with a strong,
29:04unusual flavor.
29:05Oh.
29:06It's so gross.
29:07It's like a malted milk ball.
29:08I actually like the way it sort of crunches and then dissolves.
29:09I just wish the flavor inside hadn't been so-
29:10But the flavor-
29:11Is incredibly artificial.
29:12International.
29:13Australia's Violet Crumble.
29:14For men's.
29:15Oh, for men's.
29:16For men's.
29:17Three floors of product just for men.
29:18Martha Stewart products for men.
29:19And, you know, mattresses for men.
29:20Yes.
29:21Right.
29:22And couches for men.
29:23And Paddy Overt is just for men.
29:24So-
29:25Oh.
29:26Hang on.
29:27It's the way it shatters that matters is what the-
29:28So that's intentional, that crack.
29:29It is, yeah.
29:30It's like if they made a single layer of a Butterfinger super thick.
29:35Well, a Butterfinger, the inside, whatever the hell is in the inside of a Butterfinger,
29:40seems designed to stick to your teeth.
29:41This doesn't stick to your teeth.
29:42No.
29:43The inside flavoring, though-
29:44Is Honeycomb.
29:45Well, these are a pretty safe bet, I think.
29:46Famous last words.
29:47They're a little fruit pestales.
29:48I don't know.
29:49Like what is that word?
29:50What do you call it?
29:51They look like gumdrops.
29:52I only want a lemon one.
29:53It's a life saver.
29:54It just tastes like a light saver in a slightly gummy form.
29:57It's very tasty.
29:58I don't know.
29:59I don't know.
30:00I don't know what is that word.
30:01What do you call it?
30:02They look like gumdrops.
30:03I only want a lemon one.
30:04It's a life saver.
30:05It just tastes like a light saver in a slightly gummy form.
30:07It's very tasty.
30:10It's a lovely candy.
30:11These are probably chewy dinosaurs.
30:16The thing about their bags, they rip right open, unlike American bags.
30:19That's nice.
30:20The orange one is perfectly nice.
30:21That's a banana flavor.
30:22I'm not taking that one.
30:23Allen's Killer Pythons.
30:25More gummies.
30:26Oh my.
30:27This is your favorite kind of thing.
30:29No.
30:30No?
30:31No, I actually don't like gummy worms.
30:32They're not firm enough.
30:33I prefer the dinosaur texture was good.
30:34What's your favorite gummy candy in the whole Y Whirl?
30:36Why Whirl?
30:37The Coke bottles.
30:38Oh.
30:39Ew.
30:40You can use your teeth.
30:43There's some kind of like...
30:44I like the flavor.
30:45Soda flavor.
30:46It should be green apple, pineapple, orange, strawberry, or mixed berry.
30:50Maybe the mixed berry?
30:51I don't know.
30:52Yeah, you move through different flavors as you eat.
30:53No, I like it.
30:54I think it's tasty.
30:55There's 21% less plastic across their range of confections.
30:58When you reach for a gummy worm, it should be absolutely disgusting or at least off-putting.
31:03You ever look at a bag of candy and know you're just not going to like it?
31:07Yeah.
31:08Well, you know, ones that look like chalk that you would draw on a chalkboard with.
31:11They're giant Smarties.
31:12Not my...
31:13I'm not a fan of this kind of candy.
31:14No, me neither.
31:15No.
31:16No.
31:17Whoa.
31:18John hates it.
31:19What do you hate?
31:20Oh.
31:21Wow.
31:22And we've got a spoon.
31:23No, it's not good, Gloria.
31:25I mean, you can try one if you want.
31:26Stay away, kiddo.
31:27Whenever we talk about Smarties on the show, Canadians are always like, oh, it's a...
31:31Here, a Smartie is a totally different thing.
31:33Yeah.
31:34I just...
31:35Hey, Gloria, what do you think?
31:38A little bit spicy.
31:39A little bit spicy?
31:40Spicy.
31:41Did you get a spice?
31:42Oh, it smells fizzy.
31:43I had the green one, and it is fizzy.
31:45And it...
31:46Oh, it's fizzy.
31:47She spit hers out.
31:48It tastes...
31:49It tastes like Comet, the bathroom cleaner.
31:54Mine was just really sour and tasted like a Smartie, but I didn't like want to continue.
31:58There were tropical flavors.
32:01Yes, and finally we have...
32:03What was that?
32:05They're massaging it...
32:06I was trying to like break it up a little.
32:08Alan's Frog's Alive.
32:09Is this the last thing?
32:11This is from the same company as the Killer Python.
32:13Yes, this is the last thing.
32:14God help us, okay.
32:15A frog for Franken.
32:16Yeah.
32:17Heavily chewy.
32:18Yeah.
32:19This is not bad.
32:20Rotisserie chickens?
32:21You gotta love...
32:22It's a frog.
32:23It is kind of like a rotisserie chicken.
32:26Oh, this is the best texture you can have for...
32:29She wants it hard.
32:30Those are for Nina, and the flavor's pretty good.
32:32And they're not going to have red 40 in it because they're from Australia.
32:35Because they're from Australia.
32:36What red do they have in them?
32:37They have that carminic acid where they crush up the bugs to make the red die.
32:41But that's natural.
32:42That's actually way better than red 40.
32:44It's better for you.
32:45Yes.
32:46It's kind of gross.
32:47It's like fry addicts on an organic farm crushing up those bugs.
32:50All right, so the best was clearly the Polly Waffle Bites.
32:53Oh, okay.
32:54I think so.
32:55No year serving.
32:56Four frogs is one serving.
32:57Four rotisserie chickens.
32:59Four rotisserie chickens.
33:00Who sent us the caramel wafer biscuits?
33:04That came...
33:06Earlier in the day.
33:08Earlier in the day.
33:09Earlier in the day.
33:10There's no clues coming from the boxes.
33:15All he knows for sure is that it came from the right.
33:23It came from over here.
33:25It came from over here.
33:27I didn't know it was my job to track it.
33:29I didn't keep data.
33:30If there was only one box to the right, he would have had this thing on lock.
33:35Thanks, whoever.
33:36No, it was from the German box.
33:38Was it?
33:39With the German and the Malaysian.
33:40Oh, okay.
33:41Yes, yes.
33:42This actually does look really good.
33:43Like Reese's Sticks, Nutty Buddies.
33:44Sure.
33:45Chocolate wafer is one of my favorite classes of candies.
33:48Oh, caramel on the side.
33:49Yeah.
33:50Well, it's called caramel wafer biscuits.
33:52It's marketed like an old-fashioned medicine.
33:54Or like a dental tonic.
33:56Have you ever had a stroopwafel?
33:58It's like a stroopwafel.
33:59It doesn't have that nice, crunchy, wafery.
34:01Yeah, the caramel naturally decrisps the wafer.
34:05The caramel is a little bit bitter.
34:07Which I kind of like.
34:09I don't, you know, I'm not an overly sweet fan.
34:11So, Lynx sent us these Canadian snackaroos.
34:15Mostly chips.
34:16Oh, there's some savory in here.
34:17It's not all sweet.
34:18What jumps out to me is Canadian smart food.
34:19Canadian smart food.
34:20Well, let's give it a try, shall we?
34:21To me, it tastes like smart food.
34:22No.
34:23No diff.
34:24Maybe slightly better.
34:25It's pretty good.
34:26The cheese tastes a little better to me.
34:27It's definitely dialed down.
34:29It's a horrible shame that Zach couldn't come.
34:31Well, we have ketchup.
34:32Ketchup lettuce.
34:33Ketchup chips.
34:34It's obviously colored with natural beets.
34:36This is what's coming for you.
34:38It tastes like ketchup.
34:39It tastes like Canada.
34:40It tastes like ketchup on a chip.
34:42Try it.
34:43Don't just smell it again.
34:44It tastes like ketchup on a chip.
34:45Yeah.
34:46If you really love ketchup, and it's the only flavor you want in your mouth.
34:49It's like when you open a McDonald's ketchup packet.
34:52Ruffles, all dressed.
34:53You get tomato, salt, and onion.
34:56Oh, you're gonna do Mike and Ike's?
34:57Okay.
34:58You're not a Mike and Ike's fan, right?
34:59No.
35:00So I should just give you the reds and the pinks.
35:01I have always liked Mike and Ike's.
35:02And hot tamales, too.
35:03These are not Canadian.
35:04These are a product of the USA.
35:05Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
35:06They're sweeter than I remember.
35:08They're too sweet.
35:09I always liked hot tamales butter.
35:12Oh, but in Canada, they're labeled high in sugar.
35:15In case you were unclear.
35:16Mmm.
35:17A good chip?
35:18Mmm.
35:19It's nice.
35:20It's a nice chip.
35:21It's a really good chip.
35:22Yeah, it's like salt and vinegar, but a little extra.
35:24With like a little tomato to turn down the salt and vinegar.
35:26Yeah, yeah.
35:27Mars?
35:28Mars bars?
35:29I have not had one in forever.
35:30It's like a Snickers without the peanuts.
35:31Yeah, it's nougat, almond, chocolate.
35:33It might taste a little too niggity.
35:35Mm-hmm.
35:36Yeah, I agree.
35:37Proudly prepared in Canada.
35:38The chocolate's good, too.
35:39Arrow?
35:40Can you just go to one of their Canadian grocery stores and just buy everything?
35:43What's that phobia that everybody likes to talk about online when you're afraid of the
35:46little holes in things?
35:47It's good chocolate.
35:48It's got weird texture because of all the air.
35:50It's got a Three Musketeers quality, like, with air.
35:52Oh.
35:53Little figures.
35:54I think she 3D printed these nice little figures.
35:57They're kind of like little freaky alien dinosaur things, like little creatures.
36:01This is graphic.
36:02This is pornographic.
36:04Okay, so...
36:05Can I need one?
36:06Sure, you can have one of these monsters.
36:08I was gonna say, oh, I'll put one in front of my TV.
36:11Nope.
36:12Can we please do the score bar next?
36:13It would go well with coffee, wouldn't it?
36:15I think I like the butter.
36:16I think it was too many years being a vegan, and now I'm obsessed with that butter.
36:19Yeah.
36:20What is that?
36:21F yeah.
36:22Coffee crisp.
36:23Until we got into those, like, porn monsters, this box was definitely for me.
36:26The porn monsters are an anomaly, aren't they?
36:28Alright, here we go.
36:29Coffee crisp.
36:30Sustainably sourced cocoa.
36:31Not for me, but here.
36:32It's perfect for coffee.
36:33It tastes like coffee.
36:34It is nice for coffee.
36:35It tastes like coffee.
36:36Yeah.
36:37Sweet 16 gummies.
36:38Oh, it's a worm?
36:39Well, some are, some aren't.
36:40It's 16.
36:41It's whatever falls off the conveyor belt.
36:42There's cards in here.
36:43Cats clayations.
36:44Clayations.
36:45We've seen some of them.
36:46There's all this cool 3D printed sculpture type stuff.
36:49Oh, there's more!
36:50Wait, this is not a candy.
36:51And there's more candy.
36:52It's gonna be a microphone.
36:53Oh, no, no, no.
36:54This is where the cow is supposed to sit on.
36:56Oh, it's a pedestal for the cow.
36:58And the microphone.
36:59Oh, right.
37:00Nutri-grain.
37:01Here.
37:02I'm gonna hand you anything left.
37:03These are the real Smarties.
37:04Well, real.
37:05These are Canadian Smarties.
37:06Mm-hmm.
37:07I'm enjoying this Canadian Nutri-grain bar.
37:09Oh, we got some sun-ripe fruit to go here, too.
37:11Which is just nice dried fruit, which is delicious.
37:13Yeah, some fruit leather.
37:14Look, Nina.
37:15Tim Hortons coffee.
37:16I could take it to work and use the Keurig.
37:17Is that it?
37:18Besides the porn monsters.
37:19Besides the porn monsters.
37:20Wine gums.
37:21So, they taste like wine?
37:23Wine?
37:24These taste like wine.
37:25Wine?
37:26Oh, it's very chewy, Nina.
37:27It's the chewiest possible candy.
37:28I do get a little tiny bit of wine flavor in them.
37:31I'm getting a little bit of port in mine.
37:32Yeah, I do too.
37:33In the US, what's a Smartie?
37:34A little disc shake.
37:35A little disc shake.
37:36They come in a little roll.
37:37This is NHL-branded Canadian Nestle Smarties.
37:39What?
37:40And they're totally different.
37:41Gloria, in Canada, this is what a Smartie is.
37:44It's like an M&M.
37:45Should we just...
37:47I seriously don't like it.
37:49How do you even know?
37:50How do you know you don't like it?
37:54If you haven't even tried it.
37:56How do you know you don't like it?
38:02If you've never even tried.
38:07It came to me in a dream.
38:10It's chocolate.
38:11It's nice.
38:12It's like an M&M with more shell-less chocolate.
38:14It's good.
38:15Well, there you go.
38:16That was the 10th annual...
38:1710th annual unboxing.
38:18Thank you so much for sending in all these fascinating snacks.
38:21We've got to do some of the International Macs.
38:23We've got to do the Freedom Macs.
38:24Yep.
38:25We're going to do some of these.
38:26We're going to do some of these.
38:27Try to.
38:28We are.
38:29The Rapid Mac.
38:30That's right.
38:31The New Living Translation because I lost my New American Standard Bible.
38:34If anybody sees it, it's about this color.
38:36It's a little more worn, a little more anointed than this Bible.
38:39So, if you see it, please return it.
