02:31so merle haggard willie nelson ray price all of those i listened to those growing up my dad
02:39sang all that music so that was like my first um kind of intro and first you know spark of my love
02:45there you go look at that they got they got the willie nelson koozies over here and then and then
02:51you know chris christopherson earlier was my favorite songwriter ever and was kind of the reason that i
02:56really fell in love with songwriting um but you know nowadays if i had to pick you know current
03:01artists i i think about chris stapleton like i i really gravitate towards the people now that
03:08that are kind of blending all of these you know sorts of mute sort of music together and uh kind of
03:14making it a a mix of country but really you know if you're looking at it it's not that country you
03:21know it's like it's like it's a mix of everything that kind of falls into this creative space that
03:26we like to call country because there's great songwriting and great music naturally that's
03:31country music right i mean you know and so um yeah i mean i think about chris stapleton um
03:37god i mean everybody though everybody's killing it now so i'm and i'm fighting them
03:43i'm trying to beat them no i'm joking

08:42right here on my arm uh it says leroy because that was what my dad called me when i was little
08:47bitty he used to call me leroy i had to walk out of the room um it's actually because of the jim
08:51croce song big bag leroy brown uh so he used to sing that to me and then it kind of just caught on
08:56uh and then um so i got that one first uh uh oh i think i got yeah i got this one on my ribs the top
09:06one it says uh stop it says it says lay select for the select uh is the kind of the influence i got
09:17uh from a hemingway book so i put it on my rib and then next i think i got this finger tattoo
09:25it's a rooster for key west because i was key west is one of my favorite places on earth and i was in
09:33key west when um the record label started reaching out to me for the first time and then i was in key
09:39west when uh the select dropped and so i figured i should get a tattoo to commemorate it and so i got a
09:46rooster on my finger and then now i can say something bad when i put up that finger
09:51wait do you feel like you're an old soul yes yeah probably i get that a lot spanish uh spanish moon
09:59was the little feet song that i was gonna mention you know that that's a great good jam okay go check
10:04it out go check that out and obviously you know all his music yes one more we got one more tattoo so
10:09this is the tattoo i got the same day as my rooster it's a cross
10:12they love this this was like the best section uh so i got that this is the cross i actually wear
10:20around my neck it's the same one uh that my dad has and then this most recent one i got it says fame
10:27because that's where i'm recording my next album and muscle schulz um it's a very famous recording
10:35studio uh etta james you heard it in sweet home alabama yeah right muscle schulz they got the
10:44swampers they've been known they've been known to pick there's a lot of history y'all should read
