00:00I bet it. Two minutes, seven seconds into the game. The Panthers strike first tonight. It's
00:041-0 here in game two. Just to know that they're on the ice, you have to be aware of them all
00:10the time. You have to know a little bit of their tendencies as well.
00:13Dreisaitl drop past McDavid. Right circle cuts in front. Can't pull the trigger. Bounces out to
00:18Dreisaitl at the right point. Pass across. In stride. McDavid shakes into the far circle. What a
00:22move. And finally scored. Oh my goodness. Leon Dreisaitl finished it off. A one-timer out of the
00:28right circle. But Connor McDavid, an all-world play. And there's no other way to size that
00:36one up. They're going to get their chances. That's just a fact. You just can't feed them
00:40and you can't create the environment that they get more than they need. Even though they don't
00:45need much. There's an energy to it. There's an edge to it because you can all feel it coming.
00:49But there's not the tightness that maybe we found from the first time we did this. Right.
00:53Here's Dreisaitl cruising in. Perry Dreisaitl. Out to the right point. Nugent Hopkins can't find
00:58it. Lundell. Short-handed breakaway. Marchand. In Marchand. Down low. He scores! A short-handed
01:06goal for Brad Marchand on a breakaway. He beats Skinner down low. And the Panthers are up 4-3.
01:14Take it. You know, I just don't think it gets too big for him. You know, right? He just,
01:18he's one of our most vocal guys, you know, throughout the third, the first, and second,
01:23you know, overtime and admissions. And it doesn't seem like he ever gets, you know, too riled
01:28about it, which is something you need. He's a veteran presence guy that's got a ring. So
01:32I'm really, really lucky to have him. Out to the near court. It's one-handed along
01:37by the corner by Wallman. Picked up by Perry. In here on the near boards, McDade. Perry,
01:41out to the line. Wallman, long shot. Lose off of Jocs. It's been able to score. And it's
01:46Corey Perry tying the game with 17.8 seconds to go. In regulation time, this game is tied at
01:53goal.
01:55Bouchard near a circle in the Edmond 2 zone. Chris Noblok switches out the 4-0 group. And left side,
02:01it's Kane, Brown, in front of him. And saved Mabrowski. He got just right off the left.
02:05With the glove, Hanton knocking away as Connor Brown was knocking on the door. Here's Klingberg
02:09on the end boards for Edmonton. Where Hagee picked his pocket. Where Hagee in front of Chance.
02:12And it's hit. Oh, one of the saves, Skinner. And then it's rolled on the low second try.
02:16And Marshan stole Price. And look how clear. Stewart Skinner's biggest sequence of the night.
02:23He made an acrobatic save. And then on the second one, looked like he may have gotten a little
02:27piece. And then hit the post. Then it's Dreisaitl behind the net. Dreisaitl out to
02:33Echol to 5. It's wide. Out to the near point. Out to the zone. It's Marshan. A pass ahead.
02:38Rodeau Marshan. A break to a head to Marshan. Can he tie the series? And he scores!
02:43Brent Marshan in overtime. And the Panthers win game 2-5-4. The series is tied. And a game
02:52of peace.
03:08That was one of the greatest games I've ever seen in my life.
03:12The angst. Oh, my God.
03:15Oh, my God.
03:16I got to tell you. I was outside. Because you guys tried to kill me.
03:23We lost contact with you. It was like the mission was going well. And then we're like,
03:29Leroy, Leroy. It's almost like an action movie. We're like, I think we lost him. I think we've
03:33lost him.
03:35So, I was outside. And I'm like, go!
03:39Oh! The neighbors had to hear me. Because, I mean, it was hectic. And I was so glad to get a
03:49shorty. Because it always happens against us. I was like, oh, yes, shorty.
03:56Yeah, but what was your emotions in the hot tub? So, what did you do? Did you go hot tub in an
04:03intermission and you watch from the pool? No. So, every time the status changed, I changed.
04:14So, every time there was a lead change. So, like, you just kept changing in the first period?
04:19So, when the Panthers were going to, I stayed put. Right? Then when they tied it, I got in the pool.
04:27Panthers score, back in the pool. Jacuzzi. Right?
04:34So, lead jacuzzi, tie pool.
04:37Yeah.
04:37So, you spent overtime after it was 4-4 and we all wanted to just die.
04:42I was in the pool.
04:44You went into the pool.
04:45Yes, but they were leading for a majority of the game. So, understand.
04:49You were in the hot tub.
04:50Oh!
04:51So, you were in the hot tub for basically the whole third period.
04:54Pretty much.
04:55And then after they tied it, pool.
04:57And then when they said 17 seconds and they scored, I slid out of the jacuzzi and used my
05:05last bit of breath to get into the pool because I don't think I would have made it another three
05:13minutes in the jacuzzi. And the whole time, as I'm sliding over the edge of the pool, the
05:19jacuzzi to get in the pool, I'm like, damn you, Tobin.
05:24So, you watched all of overtimes in the pool.
05:28Correct.
05:29Got it.
05:30Hey, you did it right.
05:31You did it right.
05:32Did I?
05:33You did it right.
05:35You did it right.
05:36I appreciate it.
05:38I ran out of fluids.
05:39We knew something was wrong because you touched base before third period and you said you
05:49were about to get back in and then we didn't hear from you.
05:53And I was like, this only means two things.
05:54He's either passed out asleep or passed out from fluids.
05:58I was like, I was sitting in the jacuzzi.
06:01I just moved the worst too.
06:02I assumed the worst.
06:03I was sitting in the jacuzzi.
06:09Oh God, somebody score, please.
06:12At this point, I don't care who it is.
06:17Score two.
06:18I don't care.
06:19Just let somebody.
06:20I ran out of fluids.
06:23I'm feeling the whole cooler up.
06:25I had three Gator lights, three Gatorades.
06:30I had a mix of electrolytes that I put in a big bottle of water.
06:38Yep.
06:38Right?
06:38Put two packs in there.
06:40Right?
06:41And I was like, okay, I'm going to make it if I just keep.
06:44No.
06:45So I, and then I'm like, as I'm sitting there, starting to see spots with all the fluid I'm drinking.
06:56You know what the first thought came to mind is?
06:59This Marcos is an idiot.
07:01How the hell does he think somebody could lose that much damn weight?
07:05It's not possible.
07:06Out of focus.
07:08No, dude.
07:10I'm telling you.
07:11No.
07:11It was, uh, dude, that was, it was.
07:16And like, you hear the anxiety and anxiousness of the announcers, the fans, when either side goes on a rush.
07:23And then you see a shot and you think it's open.
07:25It goes.
07:27He like.
07:28Yeah.
07:29Squeaky cheeks.
07:30It was a squeaky cheeks game.
07:31Both sides.
07:32It definitely was.
07:33It was.
07:33I mean, that's two games like that.
07:35No, I mean, it's been an incredible series.
07:36It's been so back and forth.
07:39So even, uh, it's been amazing.
07:42I mean, that first, the first period was on drugs.
07:44It was, it was crazy how, like how back and forth that was.
07:48And, you know, Paul Maurice was talking about this yesterday.
07:50He goes like, I don't think this has been a badly defended series.
07:54Like, I know what the, the, the scoreboard says, but this has been some guys are playing balls out defense.
08:01The, the, the goalie play has been really strong from both goalies.
08:06He's like, this is just some high level stuff from these, from these teams.
08:10But Brad Marchand, dude, I mean, this dude is turning himself from cat's enemy to cat's legend.
08:15Like, like it's been quick.
08:17He's insane.
08:18It's been insane what he's been able to do.
08:21He's like, he, he, and it felt like it was going to be him.
08:24Cause he had like three attempts.
08:27Right.
08:27Like after the shorty where it's like, oh, he's going to find a way to get another one.
08:32Whether it was like the wraparound, whatever.
08:35Like it was like, if this is, this is going to be Brad Marchand's game.
08:38It was appropriate that it ended up being his game winner.
08:41He deserved it.
08:42I tell you who's gonna, who has.
08:48Just put himself in a different stratosphere.
08:52Sam Bennett.
08:53Oh yeah.
08:53Oh my goodness.
08:55Oh yeah.
08:56No, he's, he's, he's.
08:57In a team that has Barkov and Kachuk and Marchand, like Sam Bennett is the guy right now.
09:07He's been awesome.
09:08Yeah.
09:08I mean, like, I think that it's, it's been, it's been an incredible postseason for 13 goals.
09:12Now he's been, he's been unbelievable.
09:14He's absolutely also done that with, you know, a country wanted to take him away in handcuffs,
09:19but you know, like, look, razor thin, but the cats are exactly where they need to be
09:25back in their barn tonight.
09:27Even one game a piece.
09:29And I mean, this building is going to be absolutely on fire tonight, dude.
09:36I can't leave my house after seven.
09:40Why?
09:40Just traffic.
09:42Oh yeah.
09:43Yeah.
09:43Yeah.
09:44Yeah.
09:44Yeah.
09:44The traffic, because keep in mind, they get off of a five 95 and go down one 36.
09:51Yeah.
09:51And I'm off of one 36.
09:53I can't like mess with that area.
09:56And if I go to other way, you got 75 where people try to go 75 route.
10:01Yeah.
10:02Can we give a shout out to our boy, friend of the show, Gustav Forsling.
10:07This man, what a stud wizard.
10:10What a stud.
10:11This dude was diving all over the place.
10:13There is a, there's no guy.
10:17I remember my mother-in-law walking by.
10:19She goes, Ooh, he's, who's that diving on the ground?
10:22I say, Gus.
10:23That's Gus.
10:24He goes, how do you know?
10:25I say, cause that's what he always does.
10:26That's what he does, dude.
10:27That's what he does.
10:28He's just causing havoc.
10:29Oh, you get ready to shoot.
10:30He just, and he don't jump like all the way on the ground.
10:34He just slides down gracefully.
10:36Like a penguin.
10:37Yeah.
10:39Like it's part of the show.
10:40Like a, like a sea lion.
10:41You got that right.
10:42RVA Richie.
10:44Been about to get that money.
10:46Oh yeah.
10:47He's, he's about to get whatever he wants.
10:49It's, it's, it's insane.
10:51Like it's, I mean, we talk about Bennett more than we talk about Barkoff and Reinhardt.
10:57Well, that's been definitely a criticism is like, this is, and I don't know, you know,
11:00what to make, cause obviously they have the top, you know, they, they have to shut down
11:03the high powered, you know, top line that is the Edmond Stoilers, but they definitely
11:07haven't had their impact on this Rhino a couple of times.
11:10Barky's done some, they've had their moments, but they haven't got on the board yet, which
11:15I was, I think in a way can be encouraging for the cats.
11:18Cause I think that there's still, there's still plenty to come.
11:20We haven't even seen from their top dogs yet.
11:22Well, I w I would say this is that I think that because the pandas are so deep to go
11:33in there and have that complaint, right?
11:38Is a bit unfair to how their team is built and how their team has done all year, because
11:45all year we've talked about other guys scoring.
11:49And so this is nothing new to us, not seeing all of your scoring primarily come from Barkoff
11:56and Reinhardt, because there's been a lot of guys during the course of the year that
12:01have stepped up and there's a number of guys in the playoffs that have scored.
12:07So it'd be different if you couldn't score at all, then you tend to look at your star players.
12:14Right.
12:15Yeah.
12:15And it's been two games.
12:16Like, like it is what it is.
12:17I think, you know, with, with, with, uh, Edmonton, you know, that Connor McDavid and dry
12:22sidle when they pair, they have to, though, they're going to be, they're going to be in
12:26a spot where they're going to light up the scoreboard.
12:27I mean, like, if you just look at where the scoring has, like what kind of numbers they're
12:32putting up, that's your hub.
12:35Is Kane hockey intangible?
12:38Yes, very much so.
12:40Yeah.
12:40Pure menace likes to punch people.
12:42Dirty play.
12:43No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
12:45See, hockey intangible is the opposite.
12:49Of basketball intangible.
12:54So is Kane, you know, can I claim Kane?
13:00No, you're not this series.
13:02Like, why do you got Seth Jones?
13:03No, no, no.
13:04I'm just saying in general.
13:05Yeah.
13:06You can claim it.
13:07Okay.
13:07No, no, no.
13:08I'm not saying I'm root for him.
13:09I'm just saying when he scored, I was like, all right.
13:14He's been around for a hot minute.
13:16Oh, no.
13:16I'm not a well liked individual.
13:19Really?
13:20No, dude.
13:21That's crazy because Seth Jones don't never come out.
13:25Like, go get some water, dude.
13:28He is always in.
13:29He is always in.
