00:00The second day of protests in Los Angeles only saw growing unrest.
00:05Paramount, a suburb of LA, has become a main flashpoint for protests.
00:10As soon as I kicked my second can, I got hit.
00:13I wasn't out of breath, and I didn't think it was a bullet,
00:17so I just kept kicking him, and it didn't really hurt.
00:20Earlier, protesters attempted to block an ICE bus.
00:24We're just here, living, working.
00:26They stopped at Home Depot, where they know that people are undocumented.
00:31So us, as a community, have came here to try to make peace
00:36so that they don't make families separate one another.
00:39And what did they do? They just started to attack us.
00:42The raids on Friday saw migrants wrestled into handcuffs and unmarked vehicles.
00:47Human rights groups are furious.
00:50They were random sweeps, and they were picking up our community in random sweeps.
00:56They were racially profiling our community.
01:05Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass in a social media post on Friday said,
01:09These tactics sow terror in our communities and disrupt basic principles of safety in our city.
01:16My office is in close coordination with immigrant rights community organizations.
01:21We will not stand for this.
01:24A senior White House aide and advisor to the Department of Homeland Security, Stephen Miller,
01:30condemned protests in Los Angeles against federal immigration raids, saying,
01:35They were an insurrection against the laws and sovereignty of the United States.
01:40The White House is setting a goal for ICE to arrest at least 3,000 migrants per day.
01:46...by millions of people, many millions of people during the Biden administration.
01:51As LA braces for another night of protests, there's no sign of either side backing down.
