Telangana Runners' Association organises inaugural edition of ‘Telangana Run 2025’ in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, June 08, 2025 (ANI): Telangana Runners' Association organised the inaugural edition of ‘Telangana Run 2025’ at Necklace Road in Hyderabad on June 08. “This is the first time we are organising Telangana run.... This is the first time we are using the state's name instead of the city's name. This run is organised to promote running throughout the state...,” said Dr. Soma Jagan Mohan Reddy. "...This effort is a stupendous effort brought up by these people... The way we live today, we mould our lifestyles to become very lethargic and unmoving. The active part of life has gone, and the daily exercises have gone. The major aim of this effort is to bring that active part of life into th people and make the active...,” said RVS Reddy.

01:04especially like sir said, the way we are living today, the way we are molding our lifestyle

01:11has become very lethargic, very slow moving, that active part of the life is gone, the

01:15daily exercises have gone, so the major aim of this effort is to bring that active part

01:22of the life into the people and then make them moving and make them moving and make

01:28them active and though the NMDC, Hyderabad or ATL Marathans have been there but the district

01:36level is something very very important to bring it up, they are all happening on a random

01:40level but Telangana runners aims to bring all of them under one umbrella and keep conducting

01:46in a professional and in a very very template based runs so that everyone can participate

01:54both the people who can run on time, those people who want to have a fun, everyone including

01:59the ladies and the children can also participate from all the districts of Telangana and make

02:04this a make this a very very very celebrated event year after year, so I am very happy to

02:09be part of this effort this year and I am wishing everyone, all the runners, I think more than

02:153000 runners have registered, I see more than 2000 people actively on the road today, it's

02:20a very very happy moment for everyone in Hyderabad and people who travelled from outside Hyderabad.

02:25This is the first time we are organising Telangana run, first edition, always run will be city's

02:32names, this is the first time we are connecting a name with state name, okay, this run is to

02:38promote the running throughout the state, Telangana state, we have 33 districts in Telangana, we

02:44are promoting it everywhere, this is the first edition and first time we are connecting Hyderabad,

02:47next edition we are connecting Vikarabad, one more run, next edition we will be conducting

02:51Godavari River Marathon and we have this first edition we have 1900 participants participating

02:57now and we have categories 21 kilometres half marathon, that is called half marathon and

03:0210 kilometres time would run and 5 kilometres time would run, 5 kilometres fun run and we

03:08have for beginners we have 3 kilometres fun run and this will be the first edition and we

03:14started this organisation in March itself and before that we connected some supported runs

03:19we did in Mayabu and one more in Kama Reddy but whole and soul with the society, this is

03:23the NGO, Society for Telangana Runners connecting with full support of our Telangana government.
