00:00:00Hello and welcome back. Welcome to video number 5. Now in video 5 we are going to be editing the walkway that goes here and put a ceiling on here.
00:00:12We want to put some beds in here and some shelving and whatever in here. So what I'm going to do here we need to kind of just delete the crocodile for a moment and the man.
00:00:22So we are going to delete the actual werewolf and we will get rid of that and we will come down here and open this and we will get rid of the crocodile.
00:00:34So we will get rid of all of that so we are only left with this part. Now what I need to do here just because you see the sheet of sewer here which is this part right there.
00:00:46It's all one building it's all one thing so when you drag it and drop it in the game world it's all going to go together just to let you know that.
00:00:53So as I said I'll put some basic textures on it so it kind of separates it from each other so you can see which parts are separate which parts are not.
00:01:02So as I said I'll do all the probably door frame brown probably most lovely even though you might want to wait it's up to you.
00:01:10So what we have to do is go down inside of the inspection hole. I'll show you because what I noticed in here just now is if you look down the hole we haven't filled the gap.

01:05:12and it's not painted it's not decorated go here import the glyph folder so yeah bring it in

01:05:24it's all and everything that's separate it is separate even the stairs are separate so as i said
01:05:29you take them out paint them decorate them you'd be mapping and do whatever so you click on this
01:05:34you can go here as you can see dusty map for it i think yeah yeah you're not gonna be able to paint
01:05:40that you go over here and go smart uv now you kind of set it out like that okay yeah that's all
01:05:49that's a lot of yeah that's a lot of things to paint ideally so anyway that's the uv map for it if you
01:05:54want it anyway that's how you map that's how you map it just go here and you go map it so

01:06:06this is so if you want to paint them different colors or whatever you can do that but um as it
01:06:13it's optional it's entirely up to you for them and then what i would do what i would do is i'd go around
01:06:19and paint certain parts like the whole thing or that i'd paint the ring a different color so you've got
01:06:25different color on it so when you kind of do a texture on it you can kind of get to see the
01:06:30whole entire thing anyway that that that's kind of how you do it that's going to have you mapping
01:06:35then of course when you're ready to add a texture go to texture come over here add a texture on it
01:06:40there's no texture on that yet just let you know that so as a glass here if you want to put it into
01:06:46CrayEngine or Unreal Engine Unreal Engine accepts the file like that you know drag it drop it straight
01:06:53inside Unreal Engine which is absolutely great perfect for me for testing the models and you
01:07:00can't do you can't do this one inside CrayEngine now you have to click the model go here you can export
01:07:07it as an obj go here give it a name obviously you're gonna call it the same name so you just click the name
01:07:14of that obviously you probably wouldn't have a name as long as that you probably shorten the name
01:07:21it's a lot of manhole cover and then you just go here here here now you just fill all this in
01:07:29so yeah okay now of course you can put that into CrayEngine and it'll just work
01:07:32but um as i said you can load the obj into CrayEngine but honestly really just in case you get
01:07:40your problem with it just get rid of that you won't get a problem with it but if you do just go here go
01:07:45export fbx go to download and just basically tick all of this make sure you copy the textures so yeah
01:07:54there's no textures on it or if there was just go export and now you can go here delete this
01:08:02delete all of this you don't need all of this as i said everything is separate so when you bring that into
01:08:08and CrayEngine it's all going to be separate like that when you go into Unreal Engine with this one
01:08:14it's all together so you don't have to import every single piece separately you can go here import
01:08:20like this so i'll show you when you import it you need to blend that and as you can see it has an imported look
01:08:28now thinking how great it's that go back to here import the glyph folder
01:08:36okay now what i'm going to tell you to do you see when you export the fbx i don't use fbx
01:08:41for this specific reason because when you export it yeah it messes around it just does go here delete it
01:08:50go back here import it now you can export it and you can import it i'll show you whatever as you
01:08:56see you don't work properly so i think yeah okay so how do i get around that go here export it i'm
01:09:04going to tell you export it as an obj say yes delete it bring it back in as an obj

01:10:39one object well as an obj it's all completely equal to be separate so as i said it's entirely up to you
01:10:46as i want to show you how to do it just in case you export it and you have a problem with it and
01:10:51thinking hey well how do you fix that that's exactly how you fix it so if you have a problem exporting
01:10:57anything then just just leave it as it is export it as an obj
01:11:02once you export it bring it back in go back to here import the obj
01:11:10and then export it back out to whatever you want and then it works
01:11:14but yeah myself personally i like to use as i said i like to use unreal engine at the moment
01:11:20because yeah it just accepts this file and i like this file because this file is kind of great for
01:11:28my world so just tick the box go down here set it to number set this to number six so we change the
01:11:36lighting on the world so this is what it's going to look like inside the game engine once you apply the
01:11:41shadow to it and of course you put a light up here it will shine down here so we've got a little bit of
01:11:47light down the tunnel as i said we don't want too much light down here in the tunnel we want just a
01:11:54little bit of light so we can see what we're doing anyway yep anyway this is the content if you
01:11:59adjust it so if you want the model click on it download it and that's it that's how it goes
01:12:05these are black because the face in the opposite way to face it inside look so they're not wrong
01:12:12they're actually correct if you call it leafy when that looks these are black it's not because
01:12:16inside here it's perfect so anyway it's all great so if you want it click the link under this video
