Thanks for joining us Emily. Congratulations on the win today against Tim Boone. Can you tell us a bit about it?
00:05
Thank you. It was a very hard fought out win. We came off the back of a really close win from Pemi World last week.
00:11
So yeah, we were just pumped to get out there and really pushed Tim Boone and yeah, really, really thrilled with the results.
00:21
Was there anyone you thought played particularly well today?
00:23
Oh, my co-defender, Rachel Alderson. I think she just brings it each week and she makes me look good.
00:31
I was also really impressed with Tamara Bull's voice in wing defence. She really supported Rachel and I in defence today.
00:37
And of course, I pretty much shouted everyone out now, but just a team effort. The goalies did amazing as well, a bit of an Asher.
00:45
I just think it was a full court team effort. They were the most standout.
00:48
And it was a tricky conditions today, probably the first win to the end of the season.
00:53
It's been a long time coming. How did you deal with the consistent run?
00:55
I feel like the girls did really well in the slippery conditions.
00:58
There are a few like drop balls and slips and things like that, but that came from both sides.
01:05
So I think, yeah, I think we coped pretty well for our first really wet one.
01:10
But yeah.
01:11
And you're co-captain this year with Annabelle Lucas. How's that going?
01:14
Yeah, really good. I love Annabelle's support.
01:17
I would say she does the warm-ups and the toss and I'm just there to bring the vibes.
01:23
But she's away today, so I had more jobs to do, which was stressful.
01:28
But no, I really enjoy co-captain with Annabelle. She's an excellent support.
01:34
It's like in old collegians, you're trying to push for a finals berth. It's pretty tight.
01:39
How are you feeling about the second half of the year?
01:41
It's very tight. I think we're, well, we were sitting fifth at the end of last round.
01:45
So I guess it will depend what happens today.
01:48
I'd love to push for finals.
01:50
Yeah, I feel like we've got some really good momentum now coming off two wins.
01:54
So if we can keep building and keep working on, you know, everything that we're doing at training
01:59
and all that kind of stuff, like, I think that we can really push some of those top teams.
02:03
No worries. Well, thanks, Emily. And best of luck for the second half of the year.
02:06
Awesome. Thank you.
