Three-time Emmy winner and Eight-time Grammy-nominated comedian, actor, writer, producer, Jim Gaffigan sat down with friend and fellow comedian Michael Ian Black for Tribeca's beloved Storytellers at Spring Studios in New York City yesterday. The hilarious pair who have known each other for 30 years joked on the red carpet ahead of their conversation. 'I love Michael but I'm also deeply afraid of him right because he has a razor whip sarcasm,' the two-time New York Times best-selling author told us. 00:17The Tribeca Festival is so cool.

00:20I was asked to have a conversation on stage, and I invited my friend, who is, I think, brilliant.

00:28And so some of it is selfishly, I just wanted to hang out with Michael.

00:33I've known Jim Gaffigan for maybe 30 years. Is that possible?

00:37Yeah, we just have always been in the same comedy circles, and we've worked together a bunch of times.

00:43He's done me a couple solids in the past, and so I feel like, oh, geez, now I have to return the favor.

00:48It's the last thing I want to do, but here we are.

00:51You know, Jim Gaffigan tells you to go somewhere, you go somewhere.

00:54He's like our Frank Sinatra.

00:55I think we generally know that making people laugh is a good thing rather than a bad thing.

01:00We save the world, Michael.

01:02We, no, your breath is delicious, unlike the jacket.

01:06But the red, no, I do.

01:07No, it's just, it's, I like it a lot.

01:09You never know what's going to happen.

01:11I love Michael, but I'm also deeply afraid of him, right?

01:16Because he has a razor-whip sarcasm.

01:21My career way into comedy was more accidental than anything else.

01:26I was not intending to be involved in comedy, but then as it turns out, I'm incredibly hilarious.
