La Suissesse Elise Chabbey a remporté la 1ère étape du Tour de Catalogne Féminin ce vendredi, au terme d’un impressionnant travail de l'équipe FDJ-Suez. Partie dans une échappée royale aux côtés de sa leader Demi Vollering et de l’Espagnole Ane Santesteban (Laboral Kutxa - Fundacion Euskadi), Chabbey a profité du marquage imposé par Vollering pour lever les bras. La Néerlandaise, grande favorite de l’épreuve, a déjà réalisé une excellente opération au classement général en reléguant toutes ses concurrentes directes à plusieurs minutes dès cette première journée.
