01:09Hey Lorenzo, bad luck here.
01:17Just, that was obviously a really high quality two sets, I'm just curious how close do you feel to his level, and how tough is it to then end this way, given how you were playing?
01:28I think we both started really, really well, eating the ball really, really well, he, of course, he, I had to play probably my best level of the tournament, you know, to stay, to stay there with him.
01:44I felt today, honestly, I felt today, honestly, a step forward on my level, I felt closer to his level, and, of course, I maintain the high level that we showed for two hours or whatever.
02:03So, really, really happy about that, that's a step forward, you know, because the last two matches were a little bit, you know, one way.
02:14So, I felt that today, I had my chances even to try to go two sets up, but, of course, Carlos, he's playing really well, he's in a really great shape, and, you know, he, he deserves, you know, to go, to go in the final.
02:36Lorenzo?
02:37Hi.
02:37How difficult is it to match or to stay with Carlos physically for such a long time?
02:44And those two sets were very intense, you know, is it, is it extremely difficult to do that?
02:51No, of course, it's difficult, it's probably, I think, right now, the, if not the toughest challenge in our sport, but one of them, and I have to say that he's really, really,
03:07aggressive, so, yeah, always have to stay, stay there, and, of course, physically, with the one-handed backing, it's not easy, you know, to manage to deal with some, you know, some players, like Carlos or Yannick or others.
03:26So, of course, physically, for me, it was, was really intense, and, at the end, I was, you know, feeling this kind of problem, so, definitely, hard enough.
03:39I just wondered, as well, like, mentally, how hard it is knowing when you're playing someone like him that even if you're playing close to your best level or hitting great shots,
03:50there's a chance that they're going to come back, and whether those two things combine, as well, to add to the stress that you may have felt out there.
03:57I mean, that's what champions do, and, of course, I knew it even before stepping on court, that I had to play probably the best match of my career so far,
04:09and for part of it, I was doing a great job, I would say, and I was there physically, technically, mentally.
04:18I think I was playing right. He was, sometimes, he was, he wanted to be really aggressive, especially from, on the return side, and I said really good today.
04:34So, at the end, if I have to analyze those two sets, they were really, really great sets, and, of course, the third one,
04:47and, let's say, the last two games, there were no, of course, no chance, you know, to play at his level with this problem.
04:56So, it was an unlucky situation, but, of course, as I said in the first question, I think, at the end, probably, he had more than me.
05:11Hello, Lorenzo, on your right.
05:12Just back at your injury, just wanted to know if it was, if you felt something on a race or an action, something like this,
05:20and it's something to, to have a pain, it's another thing to understand that you have to retire.
05:26When the retirement was in your head as a possibility, very early or later on?
05:32No, I started to feel, like, at the beginning of the fourth, that I couldn't go for the rallies,
05:44and I could not move like I was doing before, and there was too much risk, you know, to take, to go forward,
05:57and to, you know, to be able to, of course, show something even for the crowd.
06:04And, honestly, I felt that was, from a serve, I felt something, so I started from that,
06:12and then I, you know, called the physio, medical, and then, after that, I started to think about it more,
06:20and I, I started to feel it, that was going worse and worse.
06:26Hi, Lorenzo.
06:28So, you, you've played Carlos now three times across the clay season.
06:32How, how would you say your, your understanding of the match-up,
06:35and what you need to do in the match-up has, has developed and improved over those three matches?
06:41No, I think today that, that's, that's probably the, the best match of, of these three matches that we, we played.
06:50I think today I, I was playing in the, in the right way, and he was struggling sometimes, he was, he wanted to be really aggressive,
07:01but sometimes was, of course, missing, and I took my chances, I served, I served better than the other two, two matches,
07:10and I felt that I was, had chances also on, on, on the second set.
07:16So, I think, I think I was close, I was the, let's say, the closest in between the three matches that we, that we played.
07:28Hi, Lorenzo.
07:29Hi.
07:29You mentioned you're going to have exams tomorrow planned.
07:32Do you already have your eyes on Wimbledon, or is it too early to say for you?
07:38No, it's too, too early to say, of course, in program, it's, uh, next tournament is, uh, Queens,
07:44and then, of course, Wimbledon, um, but, uh, of course, we, we're going to evaluate tomorrow what the, uh, exam, uh, will, uh, will say,
07:56and we're going to, of course, uh, update you guys and, uh, take a decision for, for what's, uh, what's next.
