00:00Hello, I'm Hyunmin Sun. This is my story.
00:10I started maybe when I was like nine years old and so before 2002 but I growing up with the
00:232002 World Cup in South Korea and watched a lot of games and this was my dream to play
00:29World Cup and I had a good memory for that. Growing up I watched a lot of times Cristiano Ronaldo
00:37and because he played Manchester United and his teammate Park Ji-sung was a South Korean player,
00:44they played together. I watched him a lot of times, so he's still my idol.
00:51You know, he's a lot better than me and I just still watch him sometimes on YouTube or some
01:00video clips of him, you know, because I can still practice a lot from him.
01:06Now he is my agent. He went to South Korea and then with some scouters in Hamburg and Nuremberg
01:16and they picked three players for each team and then my agent and then Hamburg and S4,
01:24they picked me up and I joined the Hamburg S4. Of course it was difficult but different as well.
01:31You know, when I was 16, I left my country away from my parents but you know, I was just thinking,
01:39this is my dream to play in Europe. I need to take the chance, you know, it's not coming every day,
01:47you know, I just took the chance. You know, for me it was difficult and away from parents,
01:52away from country with 16 years old, it's not easy ones. But in my head I was just thinking,
02:03this is just my dream. I want to just keep working hard, you know. Some people, some players want to join here
02:10and not make it, you know. I enjoyed it and you know, I feel sorry. I had a good memory and
02:19I changed it from Hamburg to Leverkusen and then my first game against Hamburg,
02:24Oscar hat-trick. I felt sorry to the Hamburg fans or Hamburg city because this is my 19 first memory
02:36because this was my first hat-trick against my ex-team and I felt just sorry and my first hat-trick.
02:47For me it was a dream to play Premier League and before I moved to England, I just told the
02:52before manager, I want to change to England because I can't take the chance, you know. It's my dream to
03:01play Premier League and I growing up watched so many games in the Premier League, you know. And
03:07first game I had a little bit not good performance and everyone was worried about, you know. Maybe
03:13the change was too early from Germany to England, everyone was talking about. But I was confident to
03:19play here and all the coaching staff and all the Tottenham behind me, they support me, you know.
03:28He made me better than before, you know. A lot of better, you know. I work really hard,
03:33training is really good. You know, even though if I don't play, the training session is always tough
03:38and you are always fit, you know. I can't, this beat team is impossible because it's just unbelievable.
03:45He's got so many goals, he can score from everywhere, you know. For me it's just one of the best strikers and
03:53I'd say after the game as well, he's younger than me, but he works really hard.
03:59Yeah, this was my dream. When, when I'm growing up, I was just thinking, yeah, when I play professional
04:05team, everyone just look at me. Yeah, this is my role model, this honey. Like, this was my role,
04:13this was my dream. But I don't know, it's the, the, everyone thinking is, yeah, Sonny is my role model.
04:20But, you know, I won, last season I won twice the Premier Player of the Moms. This made me so happy.
04:29This was, I think, best, best thing you can, you can do. Dreaming, you can, you can do what you want,
04:37you know. But in Korea, they say, you should, you should dreaming bigger than bigger, you know.
04:45Bigger than what you think, you know. Yeah, of course, the football players are dreaming about
04:50Ballon d'Or or about winning, winning for title, you know. And this is one of my dreams.
05:04Well, thank you.
