Scottish Labour stunned the SNP to win the Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse by-election by just 602 votes, whilst Reform UK beat the Conservatives into third place, just 800 votes shy of the SNP in second. Newly-elected Davy Russell celebrated the victory, claiming the SNP had "let down" the Scottish people and that the 'poison' of Reform was not welcome in Scotland. Report by Faragt. 00:36As member of the Scottish Parliament for my home and my community, I said in this campaign that I will put this community, our community first.
00:50I will work every single day to do that.
00:52Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse has voted tonight to take a new direction with Scottish Labour.
01:01Like the people here in Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse, and right across Scotland, we all feel we have been let down by the SNP.
01:11They have broken our NHS, wasted our money, and after nearly two decades, they don't deserve another chance.
01:19This community has also sent a message to Faraj and his mob tonight.
01:26The poison of reform isn't us, it isn't Scotland, and we don't want your division here.
01:31Reform have no real answers to the issues we face, and they can't beat the SNP here or replace them across Scotland.
01:44And for Ross, can you see me now?
