00:00Hello everybody and welcome back to the United Stand on this morning's show.
00:04How Ruben Amirim is pushing massively for Victor Jokeres as he puts pressure on the board to get better signings in and for a squad overhaul.
00:14A lot of departures for Manchester United this summer, a lot of wages being moved off to Bucs.
00:19With Arsenal going for Cesco, it looks more and more likely that Manchester United have a real chance at going for Victor Jokeres.
00:26And how Ruben Amirim is pushing that, we'll give you that on the show.
00:30Also, more talks about a Hoyland exit into Milan. We've spoken about that loads.
00:34But now it's been reported as well from the MEN that Xerxes could be on the list to go in the summer.
00:40What do you think of that? I don't know if I believe it, but we will discuss it with Ruben Amirim wanting to add strong additions to his attack.
00:47Could Joshua Xerxes be on his way out of Manchester United this summer?
00:51We would be able to get a decent fee for him and not lose any money on him.
00:55Would that be worth it or would you want to keep him?
00:58Also, a little bit of clarification on the reports coming out about Mbumo demanding £250,000 a week.
01:06How much truth is there in that? We will talk about that as well.
01:10Rashford only wants Barcelona and is willing to wait the whole transfer window to secure that move.
01:16How does that put our finances in jeopardy in terms of using that money, pure profit from FFP, to put into new targets and put into new additions for Manchester United?
01:26Can the board take that risk? We'll discuss that as well.
01:30And Jadon Sancho's penalty fee is being paid, the £5 million.
01:33But could he be off to Saudi and could Manchester United strike a quick deal there?
01:38There's loads to discuss on the show this morning.
01:41Get your comments in, let me know your thoughts and let's get interactive.
01:45Let's get interactive.
01:46It's been put out there that Manchester United and Ruben Amirim are massively prioritising Manchester United's attack this summer.
01:56Music to my ears. Music to, I'm pretty sure, most United fans' ears.
02:00We know our attack has been nowhere near good enough for quite a long time now and it needs to be better.
02:07And we've started that off with Cunha. We're going for Mbumo.
02:11But could the cherry, the icing on top of the cake, be Victor Jokeres?
02:15A brand new front three for Manchester United going into next season.
02:20I'm hoping and I'm praying.
02:22I put out a tweet just earlier and this is exactly what I said.
02:26So I said this, Cunha and Bumo, Jokeres and a new keeper and I'll be very happy with huge strides taken in rebuilding the starting XI.
02:37We can sort out the rest of the team next year.
02:40With that, I forgot to say, also a bit of news on a potential Casemiro exit.
02:45Don't rule that out this summer with Manchester United.
02:47Their preference would be to tell Casemiro whether he would want to go.
02:52I'm not sure, but there's some news on that as well.
02:54Midfield, obviously I want a midfielder, but I know that all of these things can't happen in the same window.
03:00So I think if we focus on rebuilding our attack this summer and sort the goalkeeper problem that we've got,
03:06next year is when we go all out and rebuild our midfield.
03:09We know we're not going to win the league next year.
03:10It's about rebuilding and rebuilding up that table.
03:14With the attackers that I've just named there bringing them in, that would give us so many more points.
03:20That would take us into the top half of the table easily.
03:23I genuinely do think with Cunha and Bumo, Jokeres and a new keeper,
03:27Manchester United can be challenging for top six, which I think is a realistic aim going into next season.
03:33I know we're Manchester United, I know we shouldn't be saying that,
03:35but to go from 15th to challenging for top six would be some good strides taken.
03:41Sort out the midfield in the summer and the wing-back situation,
03:44and then you're really starting to challenge up there.
03:45That's my opinion.
03:46But anyway, get your comments in.
03:48Keep or sell Xerxes.
03:49Let's run a poll on that.
03:51Keep or sell Xerxes.
03:52Let's run a poll in the chat.
03:53We can have that going while bringing the Jokeres stuff.
03:56So, this is what has been coming out.
03:58So, the Muppeteers put this out on their YouTube channel yesterday.
04:02They said, during Manchester United's executive committee meeting after the Europa League final,
04:10Amorim told the board to be more ambitious and go for better players.
04:15At the same time, they contacted Jokeres and Mbumo.
04:21We know that Manchester United have these weekly or bi-monthly.
04:27I don't know exactly when they take place.
04:29I mean, it says in...
04:33I mean, it doesn't say where it is.
04:35But we know that they have these board meetings on a regular basis.
04:39We've known about them for a long time.
04:41Everybody sits down and they have these board meetings and they discuss what needs to be happening at Manchester United.
04:47Board meetings happened when Dan Ashworth got sacked.
04:50Board meetings happened when Amorim came in.
04:53Board meetings happened to discuss what Ericsson Haag's future was.
04:56These happen regularly at Manchester United.
04:59And after you win...
05:00Sorry.
05:01Got that wrong.
05:02Not win.
05:03After you lose a Europa League final, board meetings are definitely happening.
05:07I mean, a board meeting, I'm pretty sure, happened after the Brighton loss.
05:11Do you remember when Ruben Amorim...
05:12It was at the time when he smashed the TV up and he went and told Sir Jim Ratcliffe that he needs transfers.
05:19Board meetings happen in Manchester United regularly.
05:22And one thing you can say is, despite it's been a very rocky year for Ineos coming into Manchester United, a very rocky year,
05:30and rightly so, they have had a lot of criticism off you guys, off me.
05:35There's a lot of things I think they could have done differently and could have done better.
05:38And there's a lot of areas of my football club that I don't recognise because of changes they've made that I don't quite agree with.
05:43However, what you can say with them coming in is that there is absolutely now a better communication from the footballing side of things to the manager.
05:53From the board to the hierarchy to the recruitment team to the manager, there is absolutely a better line of communication and we are doing things in a better way.
06:03They didn't even have everybody in place last summer and I thought our transfer window was decent.
06:09This summer we've gone into it, apparently with no money, we've already signed Cunha, we are very confident in getting Mbumo and outgoings,
06:18apparently Manchester United are pretty confident in sorting these out.
06:21Obviously we've got to wait for it to all happen, you can't speak too soon, but transfer windows have started to improve, absolutely they have.
06:28And there is a better line of communication between Amorim and between the recruitment team as well.
06:34Sorry guys, I've just got a little bit of a dry throat, one second.
06:40There we go.
06:41So there is a better line of communication there.
06:45With this being said, Ruben Amorim is pushing very, very, very, very, very strongly for Victor Jokeres.
06:54And the timeline of this is interesting because when he got asked about it in the press conference, I was there actually,
07:03the Athletic Club game in the Europa League when we were in Bilbao the first time, he got asked about it in his press conference,
07:11he got asked a lot about Victor Jokeres.
07:13And we had that line, we only want players that want to play for Manchester United,
07:21not players that just want to play for Manchester United because of Champions League football.
07:26It doesn't matter whether we have Champions League football, we want players that want to play for Manchester United,
07:30not just for Champions League football.
07:32And a lot of people thought he was referencing Victor Jokeres.
07:36In hindsight, he might have been referencing Liam De Lapp because we were going for Liam De Lapp,
07:41but Liam De Lapp really wanted Champions League football.
07:45They really wanted European football because as Ben Jacobs revealed to us on the show last week,
07:51Thomas Tuchel said he's got a lot better chance of getting in the England squad if he's playing European football.
07:56So that was a big thing to De Lapp.
07:58At the time, everyone thought he was talking about Jokeres and it might still be hints at that.
08:05Fabrizio Romano has said it'll be very difficult to go and get Jokeres without Champions League football for Manchester United.
08:11But is that because Jokeres is demanding Champions League football or is that because of how much he's going to cost?
08:17Because there's a big difference between £30 million for De Lapp and £60 million for Jokeres.
08:22It's double the money.
08:23You are getting an experienced striker who has been around the block, got years under his belt,
08:27and absolutely smashed it in terms of goals for the last couple of seasons.
08:32But there is a difference in cost between them two players.
08:35And that is obviously going to have an effect when you don't get Champions League football
08:39and you don't get the prize money that comes with and the sponsorship money that comes with Champions League football.
08:44So that was Vitsi Jokeres.
08:46Then he got asked if he'd spoke to him.
08:48He said he hadn't.
08:49And I believe, Amory, when he says that.
08:53However, that was before the Europa League final.
08:56And it was always said before that, that Amory was a huge fan of Jokeres.
09:00He wants to bring him to Manchester United.
09:02But Ruben Amory said himself he hadn't spoke to him and he doesn't want players that just want Champions League football.
09:07So everyone kind of put that to bed.
09:09There was a lot of radio silence on Jokeres.
09:12There was kind of nothing linking him to Manchester United.
09:15Because Manchester United were all in for De Lapp.
09:18We wanted De Lapp.
09:19Jason Wilcox was leading it.
09:21We were confident we were going to get it done.
09:23De Lapp has collapsed.
09:24However, after the Europa League final, apparently Ruben Amory, in this board meeting, pushed the board and said,
09:33We need to be going for better players.
09:35We need to be getting rid of players that aren't good enough.
09:39We need to take action.
09:40And he was very strong on that.
09:41And apparently he's putting a lot of pressure on the board to make these things happen.
09:45And after that board meeting, then Jokeres and Mbimo apparently were contacted.
09:52This makes sense to me.
09:54This really does make sense.
09:55Because after radio silence on Jokeres, because it was radio silence, it was just De Lapp, De Lapp, De Lapp.
10:03Suddenly, there was a little bit of reports coming out about Jokeres again.
10:08Remember, when the news started to creep out about Jokeres again, about Manchester United might try and revisit it.
10:13But, you know, without Champions League football, it's going to be difficult.
10:16And a little bit of news about Jokeres started to come out.
10:19Then we spoke to Mbimo.
10:21We sold him that project.
10:23And we went and spoke to his representatives.
10:25Since then, Mbimo has chosen Manchester United because of the project we sold him.
10:29It wasn't solely reliant on Champions League football, on European football and Mbimo's move.
10:35It's more about the project.
10:37Hence why he's chosen Manchester United.
10:39A lot of opposition rival fans can't take it.
10:42They can't get their head around the fact Mbimo wants to join Manchester United over their club who has European football.
10:48Manchester United is a sleeping giant.
10:50We're still absolutely huge.
10:52Once that sleeping giant is awakened, any player that's here will be absolutely massive for them.
10:57If you can be part of that process, the history of Manchester United still runs very, very deep.
11:03And we still have that pull.
11:05We're slowly losing it, but we still do have that pull.
11:08And we still can attract some of the best players.
11:12We've lost it a little bit, but you still can do that.
11:15Siding Cunha and Mbimo choosing us has shown that.
11:20So that's where we're at there.
11:22We then contacted Jokeres, contacted Mbimo.
11:25Mbimo's well on the way.
11:26We've started to progress with that deal because we missed out on De Lapp.
11:30And don't get me wrong, De Lapp was still absolutely the top target and we were pushing that till the end.
11:35But there's got to be other options available.
11:37There's got to be other targets for Manchester United to go for.
11:43And you've got to listen to your manager.
11:44When your manager's telling you, I want Jokeres, I want Jokeres, I can do this with Jokeres.
11:48The board, you know, they've got to listen and they've got to kind of collaborate and work together.
11:53So, when the De Lapp deal collapsed, we then kind of started to go on the Mbimo deal, pushing really hard for that and were well on our way with that.
12:02Jokeres could be next.
12:04Because not only is Amarim massively pushing for it, other things are lining up as well.
12:10And them other things are, Arsenal look like they're pushing forward with Sesco.
12:18If they go for Sesco, they won't go for Jokeres.
12:20And if you're Jokeres, right, you're starting to look at it and you think, OK, I didn't want to join Man United.
12:27They're in 15th place and it looks very bleak over there.
12:32They've just lost the Europa League final.
12:33They can't win a game.
12:34They can't score goals.
12:35I'm not sure if I want to really be part of that team.
12:37I'm going to have Garnaccio playing in behind me and the current number 10s.
12:43Who else?
12:44Players that haven't been really doing it for Manchester United, not just Garnaccio, anyone who's played in them number 10 positions haven't been good enough for Manchester United this season.
12:56Anybody.
12:58So, you're looking at that and you're thinking, do I really want to go into that team?
13:03But then you think, hang on a second, right, Arsenal going for Sesco, so that dream's over.
13:08Because Arsenal was his priority.
13:09We've got to acknowledge that as United fans.
13:10Just how opposition fans have to acknowledge the fact that Mbumo's choosing us over them, Newcastle fans, Nottingham Forest fans when it came to Cunha, other fans of different clubs have to acknowledge that even though we've not got European football, Cunha and Mbumo are coming to us.
13:28We've got to acknowledge that Arsenal was Jokeres' first choice.
13:31That has been widely reported.
13:33But, if Arsenal do go for Sesco and Jokeres has the opportunity to reunite with Amerim and move to the Premier League, because the Premier League is his dream.
13:44Like, he's spoken about the fact that he would love to play in the Premier League.
13:47That has been widely reported.
13:49And now, you're not looking at the Manchester United side that finished 15th in the season and that squad.
13:55You're looking at playing in front of Cunha, one of the best players in the Premier League last season.
14:01And Mbumo, one of the best players in the Premier League last season.
14:06And Man United have managed to keep hold of Bruno.
14:09And Bruno has publicly said he's turned down Saudi and he's staying at Manchester United.
14:14Manchester United wants to keep him.
14:15Amerim wants to keep him.
14:16The vote of confidence in Bruno to stay is a massive vote of confidence in Amerim.
14:23And that gives Amerim a lot of strength and a lot of power.
14:27And it makes his project that he's building seem...
14:32It just gives it better legs, really.
14:36If your captain's choosing to stay and turn down £65 million a year, no matter what the reasons are for him doing that,
14:42Bruno Fernandes did reference in that press conference that, family-wise,
14:46he could have moved over there.
14:47His kids know Cancelo's kids.
14:48They're very good friends.
14:50But Manchester United wants him to stay.
14:52Amerim wants him to stay.
14:53And he wants to continue playing in Europe at the top level.
14:56That is his decision.
14:58Right?
14:58If your captain's choosing to stay and be part of your team, that is a vote of confidence in the manager.
15:02And you then also have got the new additions of Cunha and Mbumo massively, massively better than what Manchester United have currently been playing with all season.
15:12If you're Jokka, as you're thinking, I'm going to get service.
15:15I'm playing with better players.
15:16I'm being reunited with a manager who knows how to get the best out of me.
15:20Who helped build my career out.
15:23We're a lot more of an attractive outfit then.
15:25A lot more.
15:26However, for that to happen, United have to sell.
15:31They have to sell and they have to bring money in.
15:33We cannot afford to go for Mbumo and then go for Jokka straight away after that.
15:38We can't afford to do it without selling and without moving players on.
15:41And that's where the Hoyland and even potentially the Xerxi exits could come into play.
15:47So get your comments in.
15:48Let me know what you think.
15:49That was a very long-winded way of me explaining the situation.
15:52But that is where we're at.
15:54And on top of that, not only coming out the reports that Amorim was putting pressure on the board to sign better players.
15:59We've also had these reports to back it up.
16:02Laurie Whitwell.
16:03Ruben Amorim is a major admirer of Victor Jokka.
16:06There could be a re-evaluation.
16:09Now Liam De Lappe is off the table.
16:12Also, Nathan Salt.
16:14Journalist for the Daily Mail.
16:16Who is a really good journalist.
16:18I've spoken to him quite a few times in and around Carrington.
16:20He was doing a bit of a Q&A and he said, around the striker situation, Amorim wants Jokka.
16:27Ramos has been offered.
16:29Mateta is still of interest.
16:32I think Mateta is definitely of interest to the Manchester United recruitment team and the board.
16:37They've scouted him.
16:39Ramos has been offered by intermediaries.
16:41That's never really a great sign, is it, when you're being offered a player.
16:45But Jokka is what the manager wants.
16:47He is the striker that Amorim wants.
16:49So, that is where we're at on that one.
16:54Jokka could well and truly be on the table for Manchester United.
16:59And I'm going to get to your super chats now and get in the comments.
17:02But last but not least, just to kind of round up this summary on the Jokka situation.
17:06This is from Pletigal, Sky Germany, good links to the Bundesliga.
17:16As exclusively revealed, Arsenal have entered talks, concrete talks, with RB Leipzig over Benjamin Sesko.
17:25Andrea Berta has all the information regarding the release clause, payment structures, etc.
17:30So far, Arsenal are the only club in direct contact with Leipzig.
17:36Manchester United have shown interest in the player, but have not made contact with Leipzig.
17:40We've always had interest in Sesko.
17:42We've just never fully progressed it.
17:44But there's always been interest.
17:45His agent's been at Old Trafford a lot of times.
17:48He's been on United's list, the scouting list, as many other players have been for a while.
17:52But we've never fully gone for it.
17:54We nearly went for it.
17:55You know that time he was available for £20 million before he went to Leipzig?
17:59We were very, very close to getting Sesko then.
18:02Very close.
18:03But the deal didn't quite end up happening and he ended up going to Leipzig.
18:06And then, since then, the money to go and get that player has just been too high for Manchester United to kind of go up to.
18:15But Arsenal are well and truly underway talking to Leipzig.
18:21And apparently, Sesko is Arteta's choice.
18:24That's the striker that Arteta's pushing.
18:28Berta likes Jokeres, wants Jokeres.
18:31So they're having that same conversation.
18:32Just how, for example, at United, you've got Jason Wilcox and you've got Omar Brada and you've got the recruitment team who will have their say on transfers, the scouting network, the recruitment team that Manchester United have.
18:44Their pick this summer was De Lapp.
18:46Absolutely, they were pushing for De Lapp.
18:49I'm assuming if you would have asked Amorim, it would have been Jokeres.
18:52So then you kind of have a clash and you've got a kind of compromise.
18:56At Arsenal, Berta wants Jokeres and Arteta wants Sesko.
19:01So they've kind of been in them discussions, which is why I don't think Arsenal have moved straight away in this transfer window for a striker, which we know is their top priority.
19:10But it looks like they're leaning more towards Sesko.
19:14So if Arsenal do get Sesko, where does Jokeres go if not United?
19:22There will be other clubs interested, but United could have a really good run at that.
19:26A really good run at it.
19:27And it could all be lining up perfectly for us.
19:30But get your comments in down below.
19:31Kiel Robinson says, I want to see Xerxie play with good service.
19:36Me too, Kiel.
19:37Just so you know, keep voting in the poll.
19:39I don't want Xerxie to go anywhere and I don't think he will go anywhere.
19:43Even if we get Jokeres, I don't want Xerxie to go anywhere.
19:46I think that would be a brilliant partnership.
19:47You've got two different players.
19:49You've got the bullish striker in Jokeres, penalty box striker there.
19:53And you've got Xerxie, the link-up style, false nine, silky with his feet.
19:59And I think playing with Kuno and Mbumo, you'll see a completely different Xerxie.
20:02Also, the amount of improvement we got from Xerxie from the start of the season to the end of the season.
20:08It was like watching a different player.
20:11Not even just in terms of what he was producing on the pitch, quality-wise.
20:16But I'm talking everything.
20:18You know, his movement, his attitude, his mentality, the way he ran.
20:23His body language.
20:25There was just a complete transformation in Joshua Xerxie.
20:27And I was really, really liking the player we saw before that hamstring injury.
20:33Which I was gutted about.
20:35He was a massive blow for us when he got that hamstring injury.
20:37Then when he managed to get himself back for the final,
20:39I thought that showed massive amounts of resilience.
20:42A strong mentality.
20:43Exactly the type of personality you want from a United player.
20:46Came on for about 20 minutes when he wasn't even fit.
20:49And still looked way better than what Rasmus Hoyland did.
20:52And I thought, this is what I've been missing all game.
20:54So, I want to keep Xerxie.
20:56Definitely not the finished article.
20:57And I don't know if you could rely on him as your sole striker for a season.
21:01But someone I want to keep at Manchester United for sure.
21:04Class of 99 says,
21:05Would be silly to let Xerxie go.
21:07Gets even better with better plays around him.
21:09I bet he surprises many next season and shines given the opportunity.
21:14I agree with you.
21:15I agree with you.
21:16It's interesting because, just in reply to that super chat,
21:19you have a few people saying,
21:20Yes, keep Xerxie.
21:21Yep, I really like him.
21:22And then you have Savage saying,
21:24Nonsense, get a good offer, definitely sell him.
21:25So, there is two sections of the fan base.
21:28I'm a massive fan of Xerxie's and I want to keep him.
21:30I know a friend of mine that would cash in on him tomorrow.
21:33Thinks he's good with his feet,
21:34but doesn't think he's suited to the Premier League.
21:36Says he's not a Premier League player.
21:38I disagree.
21:39I think he can play in the Premier League
21:41and I think it's only just the beginning for Xerxie.
21:44I think it'd be a shame to let him go.
21:46Especially for the money we paid for him.
21:48But this is what you get, right?
21:50This is what you get with these PSR and FFP rules
21:54that really, really grinds my gears.
21:57And Ben Jacobs even spoke about it on the show
21:59when we had him on last week for an interview.
22:02It was a fantastic interview, that.
22:03We've got him coming on again this week, I think,
22:05later on this week.
22:06So, stay tuned for that.
22:09We spoke about this.
22:10To sell Rasmus Hoyland this summer
22:13and for it to be worthwhile for Manchester United
22:16to not lose money,
22:18to sell Rasmus Hoyland,
22:19we would have to sell him for around £38 million.
22:21I worked it out, by the way, the other day off the show
22:23and I couldn't remember what fee it would be.
22:25It'd be around £38 million we'd have to sell Rasmus Hoyland for
22:28just to break even
22:29because we paid £72 million for him.
22:33Is anybody paying that?
22:35Is anyone paying £40 million for Rasmus Hoyland?
22:37I'm not sure.
22:39However, Joshua Zerksy,
22:41because we only brought him in for around £30-35 million,
22:46FFP-wise,
22:48he's the much easier sell for Manchester United.
22:52You know, he could sell,
22:53we could even make a little bit of money on him.
22:54However, when I look at it with Rasmus Hoyland and Joshua Zerksy,
22:59I think Joshua Zerksy is better in near enough every single department
23:03apart from physicality in terms of the running and the sprinting and the pace.
23:08But physicality in terms of holding the ball up, bullying defenders, better.
23:13Better with his feet, everything.
23:16Maybe pure ball striking ability.
23:18Rasmus is probably better.
23:20But as an all-round striker,
23:22Zerksy for me is way ahead
23:24and gives way more to this team
23:26than what Hoyland does.
23:28And if you ask me,
23:28would you rather keep Hoyland or Zerksy?
23:30I'd rather keep Zerksy
23:31every day of the week.
23:34But,
23:35he's a much easier sell for Manchester United
23:37if they need to make room
23:38for strikers this summer.
23:40And I think,
23:41I think that's,
23:42that's sad that you're at that point
23:44with FFP and PSR
23:45where United
23:46could be backed into a corner
23:48where they need to sell a striker
23:49and it'd be way easy for them
23:51and more beneficial for them
23:52to sell Zerksy
23:53even though he's been the better performer this season
23:56and,
23:57in my opinion,
23:58has more to give next season.
24:00So,
24:01yeah,
24:01that's,
24:01that's,
24:02that's the FFP and PSR side of it there.
24:05We have
24:06Trina saying,
24:08Zerksy is a baller
24:09and will be great with time.
24:11But if we can sell him
24:12and buy a Premier League player
24:13who's proven
24:14then it might make sense
24:15to part with him.
24:18I like the option
24:19of having Zerksy though
24:20just like the,
24:21Jacob Fatu says
24:22underneath there.
24:23I like the option
24:24of having that style of player.
24:25We don't have anybody like him
24:26really in the squad.
24:27Sleazy says,
24:28Zerksy could be our Firmino
24:29only stronger.
24:31Pzeb below says,
24:33I hope the project
24:34we sold
24:35wasn't on
24:35£250,000 a week.
24:38Yeah,
24:39I'm going to get into
24:40their Mbumo
24:41wage rumours
24:42soon
24:43because
24:43I'm going to
24:45I'm going to
24:46kind of
24:47calm the storm
24:49a little bit on that.
24:50I don't think
24:50Mbumo is offering,
24:52sorry,
24:52he's offering.
24:53I don't think Mbumo
24:54is demanding
24:55£250,000 a week
24:56and I don't think
24:58United is offering
24:59that either.
25:00God,
25:00could you imagine
25:01if Mbumo
25:01was offering it?
25:02Sir Jim would
25:02snap his hand off.
25:03You're offering us
25:04£250,000 a week?
25:06Get here to
25:07Manchester United
25:07right now.
25:08But no,
25:08I don't think
25:09we're offering
25:09Mbumo
25:10£250,000 a week
25:11and I don't think
25:12he's demanding it either.
25:13Of course,
25:13we want a pay increase
25:14but £250,000 a week
25:16I don't think
25:16is happening
25:17and I'll tell you
25:17why in a bit.
25:19SimplyRed says,
25:19would you take
25:30Nelson Samedo
25:31on a free
25:31as right wing back?
25:34Probably not.
25:37Maybe,
25:37maybe for a year or so.
25:39He's not
25:40in the age catalogue
25:42though,
25:43that Ineos suit.
25:44He's over 30,
25:46isn't he?
25:46Nelson Samedo.
25:47Let me have a look.
25:48He's 31,
25:49nah,
25:50I'd probably move on
25:51to,
25:52he's a good player
25:52in Nelson Samedo
25:53but I'd probably move on
25:54to the future
25:55of Manchester United
25:56rather than
25:58bringing in
25:59a 31 year old.
26:00When I say
26:00I want an experienced
26:01player,
26:02experienced players
26:03that 26,
26:0427,
26:0528 mark
26:05is where I'm
26:07usually looking for.
26:09Rob Always United
26:10says,
26:10I think most
26:11good strikers
26:12would thrive
26:13with Mbumo
26:14and Cunha
26:15servicing them.
26:16They score goals
26:17and provide a lot
26:18of assists.
26:18Calvin98
26:19says,
26:19with Cunha
26:20done and
26:21Bumo likely
26:21and Yocca
26:22as possible,
26:23what do you think
26:23would be a good
26:24season for us
26:25if we were to
26:25sign just those
26:27three?
26:28Just those three,
26:29what did
26:30Manchester United
26:30get last season?
26:32But you've also
26:32got to take
26:33into consideration
26:35as well,
26:36right?
26:38Arsenal
26:38have missed
26:40having a proper
26:41striker.
26:42if they've signed
26:43Cescó,
26:44as much as
26:44I don't think
26:45Cescó
26:45maybe is
26:46the creme de la
26:47creme of what
26:47they could have
26:48got,
26:48I do think
26:49he's an excellent
26:50ball striker
26:50and will absolutely
26:51improve Arsenal's
26:52team.
26:53And Arsenal do
26:54create a lot of
26:54opportunities,
26:55so any striker
26:56going into that
26:56team is going to
26:58get a lot of
26:58chances and
26:59Cescó can put
27:00them away,
27:01you've seen that.
27:02So Arsenal are
27:03going to be
27:03stronger,
27:04Liverpool have
27:05already signed
27:06Frimpong,
27:07they're going for
27:07Verts,
27:08they're getting
27:08Kerkhares,
27:08they've already
27:09just won the
27:09league,
27:10they're going to
27:11be a lot
27:11stronger.
27:15City,
27:15another one,
27:16we've just had
27:17the here we go
27:17and Rinders,
27:18they're getting
27:18Cherkid,
27:19they're getting
27:19Aitnori,
27:20they're absolutely
27:21going to be
27:21stronger going
27:22into next
27:23season as well.
27:24So as much as
27:25United are going
27:26to be stronger,
27:27other teams are
27:27going to be
27:27stronger too.
27:28United finished
27:2915th and 42
27:30points.
27:31I think if we
27:32only got
27:33Mbumo,
27:34Cunha and
27:35Jokeres,
27:35I think
27:40you're looking
27:40at,
27:41I think
27:42you're looking
27:42at 8,
27:45top 8,
27:46trying to get
27:47into that
27:47top 8 and
27:48I think we
27:48could do
27:49that,
27:49especially
27:50one game
27:50a week in
27:51the Premier
27:51League.
27:53I think
27:53top 8
27:54would be
27:55where we'd
27:56kind of be
27:57looking for
27:57with them
27:58additions.
27:59If you get
28:00a goalkeeper
28:01as well,
28:01which is what
28:02I'd be
28:02advocating for,
28:03I think you're
28:04looking at
28:04challenging for
28:05top 6.
28:06It could
28:06even be a
28:07little bit
28:07higher than
28:08top 8,
28:08depending on
28:09how other
28:09teams do.
28:09It's all
28:10very dependent,
28:11but just on
28:11an average
28:11basis,
28:12if we got
28:12Jokeres,
28:13Mbumo and
28:14Cunha,
28:15I think
28:16you're looking
28:17at around
28:17top 8
28:18benchmark.
28:20But,
28:21as happy as
28:23I would be
28:23with them
28:24three,
28:24I do think
28:25United also
28:26have to either
28:26go for a
28:27keeper or a
28:28midfielder to
28:29add to that.
28:29You need to
28:30strengthen the
28:30spine just a
28:31little bit
28:31more there
28:32this summer.
28:34attack is
28:35obviously the
28:37main point of
28:37call because
28:38we were so
28:39lacking in it
28:39last season,
28:40but there are
28:41other positions
28:41in that United
28:42team that need
28:42addressing.
28:43All of them
28:43can't be done
28:44in this window,
28:45and I've come to
28:46accept that.
28:46We are not going
28:47to be able to do
28:47everything this
28:48window.
28:48I know there's
28:49some people that
28:50think wing-backs
28:50are the priority,
28:51there's some
28:52people that
28:52think midfield
28:54is a priority,
28:55there's some
28:55people, I mean,
28:57I'd question what
28:58was wrong with
28:59you if you
28:59didn't think the
29:00attack was a
29:00priority, of
29:01course that's a
29:01priority, and
29:03there's some
29:03people even saying
29:04we need to go
29:04and get another
29:04centre-back, and
29:06we probably would
29:07need to get
29:08another left-sided
29:09centre-back as a
29:10backup option and
29:11to give us some
29:12depth considering
29:13Amorim plays
29:14three at the
29:14back, but that's
29:15right on the
29:16back burner now for
29:17me, we've got to
29:18prioritise, we
29:19can't do
29:19everything, as
29:20well as all the
29:21outgoings that we
29:21have to go and
29:23sort out, you
29:24can't do
29:25everything, attack
29:26goalkeeper this
29:28summer, next year
29:29we focus on the
29:30midfield and the
29:31wing-backs, and
29:31we are going to
29:32be a work in
29:33progress, that's
29:33where I've come to
29:34the conclusion of,
29:36although missing
29:37out on a
29:37midfielder this
29:38summer, I am
29:39going to be honest,
29:40would be a big
29:41big blow, we
29:42need a midfielder,
29:44it's obvious we
29:45need a midfielder
29:46and going into
29:47the season if we
29:48don't get a
29:49midfielder, I
29:49think Amorim will
29:50know we need a
29:51midfielder and so
29:51will the board, it's
29:52just the fact we
29:53cannot do
29:54everything all in
29:55one window to the
29:56highest quality when
29:58you're dealing with
30:00bad financial
30:02decisions of the
30:02last decade going
30:03against you in
30:04terms of PSR, no
30:05Champions League
30:06football, a loss of
30:07money, it's going to
30:08be tough, it is
30:09really going to be
30:09tough.
30:09Janice Prime
30:1216 says, hi from
30:13Singapore, Beth,
30:14Cunha and Bumo and
30:15Jokeres would be
30:15lethal, we need
30:16also to strengthen
30:17the centre mid,
30:18right wing back and
30:18get a new keeper.
30:20Ahmad's going to be
30:20flying on that
30:21right wing back spot
30:22next season, don't
30:23worry about that.
30:24Bjorn says, if we
30:25want to be competing
30:25with teams like
30:26City, Arsenal and
30:27Liverpool, we need
30:27Jokeres and Bumo,
30:29otherwise we are
30:30miles off them.
30:31Maliel Riviero
30:32says, Xerxi
30:33definitely can't be
30:34the only striker.
30:35Eatme says, hate to
30:37do this but whatever
30:38we do, Anana cannot
30:39stage the first
30:40choice keeper, too
30:40many points drop
30:41from goalkeeper
30:42mistakes.
30:43Mib says, perfect
30:44opportunity for the
30:45right players to
30:45join United, imagine
30:46yourself being part
30:48of the team that
30:48pulls United out of
30:49the mud, road to
30:50be a legend.
30:52SK says, not
30:53everyone is keen on
30:54Jokeres but he
30:55suits us and
30:56Amorim, he's also
30:57realistically in our
30:58budget, go all in
30:59before Arsenal decide
31:01to get it done.
31:02I completely agree
31:03with that point, we
31:03need to be bullish
31:05with this, we need
31:06to go for it and
31:07no, there is some
31:09question marks over
31:09Jokeres, I've seen
31:11some people worried
31:12that he's coming from
31:12the Portuguese league
31:13when we did this
31:14with Ten Hag and
31:15going back to
31:15Ajax, the Dutch
31:17league, it didn't
31:17correspond to the
31:18Prem and we got
31:19our fingers burnt
31:20a little bit, I'm
31:21concerned that people
31:22think, will he be
31:23able to do it in
31:24the Prem, I know
31:25that people are a
31:27little bit worried
31:28about whether his
31:29goals will translate
31:30into Premier League
31:31football, however, I
31:35agree with that
31:35comment, he suits
31:37us, Amorim knows
31:38him, he knows how
31:39to use him, I do
31:40kind of trust Amorim
31:41in that sense and
31:43he's in our
31:45budget, like 60
31:46million in our
31:47budget, I mean it's
31:48probably a little bit
31:49high for us but 60
31:49million for a striker
31:50that's scored that
31:51many goals in
31:52Europe, it's a really
31:54good deal, usually if
31:55Sporting didn't have
31:56that gentleman's
31:57agreement they'd be
31:57asking for at least
31:5880 for a player
31:59that's putting up
32:00them sort of
32:00numbers.
32:01But thank you
32:03everyone for
32:03getting your
32:04Super Chats in, I
32:05will revisit them in
32:06a second but I want
32:06to bring in the
32:07Zerksi news, while I
32:09bring in the Zerksi
32:09news, if I can just
32:10find out what the
32:11poll is on, that
32:12would be great.
32:14So, 74% of you
32:18want to keep
32:19Zerksi, I'm very
32:20happy about that
32:20because I think he
32:21proved himself last
32:22season, still got
32:23levels to go up,
32:24still not the
32:25finished article but
32:26I am with the
32:2974% of the
32:30community in the
32:31chat that I've
32:31said you want to
32:32keep him.
32:33But this is the
32:33news and this is
32:34coming out from
32:34Ty Marshall at
32:35the MEN.
32:36Inter Milan are
32:37considering making
32:38a move for
32:38Rasmus Hoyland this
32:39summer.
32:40With Ruben Amirim
32:41keen to add
32:42attacking reinforcements
32:44this summer, Hoyland
32:45and Joshua Zerksi
32:46could depart to make
32:48room in the squad
32:49and free up vital
32:50funds.
32:52So, as I said
32:53before, as much
32:54as we're getting
32:54excited about the
32:55potential of getting
32:56Jokeres now and
32:57Cesc going to
32:57Arsenal, for Jokeres
32:59to come to
32:59Manchester United
33:00even if he says
33:01yes and agrees to
33:02personal terms, we
33:04have to sell.
33:05We have to sell
33:06players.
33:07After we've signed
33:08Mbumo, we've got to
33:09sell players.
33:10That's the position
33:10Manchester United are
33:11in financially.
33:12Right.
33:13And I know a lot of
33:14people are worried
33:14about this.
33:15We've got updates on
33:15Sancho and Rashford to
33:17bring you as well.
33:20This is where Hoyland
33:21and Zerksi have come
33:22into consideration of
33:23being sold for
33:24Manchester United.
33:25In my ideal world,
33:27Inter Milan bail us
33:30out and give us
33:32£40 million for
33:34Hoyland.
33:36I'm even laughing out
33:37loud saying that.
33:37I just don't think
33:38it's going to happen.
33:39I don't think a club's
33:40going to pay £40 million
33:41for him, which is wild
33:42considering two years
33:43ago we paid £72.
33:45The United effect,
33:46this is what happens.
33:47However, I spoke about
33:49it on previous shows
33:50so I won't go into
33:50detail about it.
33:51I actually do think if
33:53Inter Milan took a risk
33:54and paid £40 million
33:55for Rasmus, it could
33:56massively pay off for
33:57them.
33:58They have money from
33:59getting into the
33:59Champions League final.
34:00He's proven to have
34:01done it in Italy before.
34:02He has big fans in
34:03Italy.
34:04He's still a young
34:05striker.
34:06He's gained a lot of
34:06valuable experience in
34:07the Premier League.
34:09Has got something there
34:11that in a proper,
34:12well-structured team
34:13with a good coach can
34:13be worked on.
34:15Suits a slower-paced
34:16league.
34:17His best football for
34:19United has come in
34:19the Europa League and
34:20in the Champions League.
34:22I think it makes sense
34:23for Inter Milan to take
34:24that risk.
34:25And United apparently
34:26obviously are open to
34:28it.
34:28Obviously.
34:29I mean, after the
34:31season he had last
34:31season, of course
34:32they're going to be
34:32open to it when they
34:33were trying to get a
34:34striker in and we
34:34need money.
34:37I have a feeling
34:37they're going to offer
34:38us a loan with an
34:39option to buy, which
34:41is like, doesn't really
34:42do much for us
34:43financially.
34:44Maybe we could get
34:45£30 million plus
34:46£10 million add-ons
34:46and we might be able to
34:47do something with that.
34:48I don't know.
34:48But it's going to be
34:49hard to move on when
34:50just to balance the
34:51books you need around
34:52£38 million for
34:53Hoyland.
34:54That's where I spoke
34:55about before, Xerxes
34:56departing could come
34:57into play.
34:58Although the majority
34:59of us want to keep
35:00him and I think Ruben
35:01Amorim would want to
35:02keep him as well.
35:04We might be in a
35:04situation where we
35:05can't shift Hoyland
35:06because of the amount
35:08we need to get to
35:08break even on him and
35:09for the books to be
35:10even.
35:13Amorim's there like,
35:14guys, I need to sign
35:15a striker, I want to
35:16sign Jokeres, what's
35:17the hold-up?
35:18And United are like,
35:19well, we can't sell
35:21Hoyland.
35:22He's like, Amorim, we
35:23need to sell one of the
35:24strikers.
35:24And Amorim's like,
35:25yeah, okay, you can
35:27sell Hoyland.
35:28Insa's interested.
35:29And we can't sell him
35:31for £20 million,
35:32Amorim.
35:32We've got to sell him for
35:33at least £40 million to
35:35break even on the
35:35books.
35:36There's nothing we can
35:36do.
35:37We can't move him on for
35:38that amount of money.
35:40However, Xerxes, we
35:41only paid £35 million for
35:43him last summer.
35:44There's teams interested
35:45in him.
35:45We can get a bit of
35:46money for Xerxes and
35:48that's a way we could
35:49maybe do it.
35:50Amorim might be like,
35:51well, I don't want to
35:51sell Xerxes.
35:53I'd rather sell Hoyland
35:54to be honest with you.
35:55But if we have to sell
35:56Xerxes to bring in
35:58Jokeres, that could be a
36:02route the United go
36:02down.
36:03However, I don't think
36:05we will.
36:06The reason I don't think
36:06we will is I think Xerxes,
36:08ever since he was close
36:09to leaving in the
36:10January window when he
36:11had, you know, the
36:12Newcastle game when he
36:12got brought off early
36:13and it was a horrible
36:15day that for him and
36:16he's bounced back
36:17stronger.
36:18Apparently Bruno
36:18Fernandes had a big
36:19influence on that by the
36:20way.
36:21Remember, Bruno
36:22Fernandes couldn't
36:22play in that Newcastle
36:23game.
36:23I think he was suspended
36:24because of yellow cards.
36:26Apparently when Xerxes
36:28went down the tunnel,
36:29Bruno Fernandes got out
36:31of his seat, went over
36:33and gave Xerxes a massive
36:35pep talk, told him to go
36:36back out and has massively
36:37helped him ever since.
36:38That's the captain that
36:39a lot of people have
36:40wanted to get rid of and
36:41don't think it's going to
36:42take effect.
36:44It boggles me that people
36:46are genuinely like
36:47absolutely like gutted that
36:49Bruno is staying.
36:50But anyway, that's a
36:51different story.
36:52I can understand maybe
36:53wanting to take the money
36:54for him.
36:55I get that.
36:56I can understand different
36:57points of views in that
36:58sense.
36:59But actually being like
37:00fuming that a captain that
37:03has given so much this
37:04club is stating, I can't
37:06understand it.
37:07But everyone has got
37:08different opinions.
37:09But anyway, that's a
37:10tangent.
37:11Xerxes since then has
37:12fallen in love with the
37:13club.
37:14His mentality has
37:15completely shifted.
37:15He's given his all to the
37:16club.
37:17He's grown in confidence.
37:19He's in games.
37:21He's affecting games so
37:22much more.
37:23And you can really kind of
37:24see that there is a player
37:25in there.
37:25And he's turned into a
37:26fan's favourite a little
37:27bit, Xerxes.
37:29He actually has turned into
37:30a fan's favourite.
37:31And he's got his song now
37:33and apparently he's fallen
37:34in love with Manchester
37:34United.
37:35I just can't see him being
37:36forced out.
37:37When the news came out
37:38yesterday that Bruno was
37:40staying, Xerxes put on an
37:42Instagram post celebrating
37:44saying mood at Bruno
37:45Fernandes.
37:46He loves the club.
37:47He's buzzing that Bruno
37:48is staying.
37:48If you didn't see yourself
37:49as part of the future,
37:50then why would you be
37:51doing that?
37:52And of course, you've got
37:53to get the player's
37:54approval if you're going
37:55to sell him.
37:57So I think it's going to
37:58be difficult.
38:00I don't think it will be
38:01difficult to sell Xerxes
38:02if he wanted to go.
38:04I think there would be
38:04clubs there willing to
38:05pay.
38:06I think there's money there
38:07that Manchester United
38:08would be satisfied with.
38:09But I don't think
38:10Amorim is going to push
38:11it and I don't think
38:12Xerxes is going to push
38:13it either.
38:14I think he's going to
38:14stay.
38:15I really do want him
38:18to stay and I think he
38:19will.
38:20But it is an option and I
38:21wouldn't be surprised if
38:22it comes up again this
38:23summer.
38:24I wanted to bring you the
38:24news there and it is
38:25coming out from the MEN.
38:27Tinashe says,
38:28Befs, stop saying
38:28Serie A is a slower
38:29league.
38:30Stop it.
38:32Right.
38:33Is that...
38:33Is that Ricky in
38:35disguise?
38:36Is that Ricky in
38:37disguise?
38:38Because...
38:41One second.
38:43Let me just get this
38:44up.
38:48I respect Serie A
38:50so much.
38:53I think it's got
38:53great, great technical
38:58aspects to it.
39:00I think the defensive
39:01game is super strong.
39:03It's like chess.
39:04I respect it.
39:05And I have said on the
39:08shows multiple times I
39:09actually want to start
39:09watching more of the
39:10Serie A.
39:10The title race at the
39:11end of last season was
39:12fantastic.
39:13Serie A teams usually do
39:14really well in the
39:15Champions League.
39:16Look at Inter again,
39:16getting to the final.
39:17I know they got
39:18absolutely battered but
39:19they did.
39:20But it is a slower
39:22paced league.
39:24Look at the rest.
39:25Right.
39:26I get it's all about
39:27the eye test but let me
39:28just read this to you.
39:29Serie A is generally
39:30considered a slower
39:32league than the Premier
39:33League but that doesn't
39:34mean it's lower in
39:35quality.
39:36Exactly what I'm
39:37trying to say.
39:37It's just a different
39:38style.
39:39Here's a breakdown and
39:41why.
39:42Premier League is known
39:43for its high tempo,
39:44physicality and fast
39:45transitions.
39:46Teams often press
39:47aggressively and matches
39:48are played at a
39:49relentless pace.
39:50Serie A is more
39:51tactically disciplined
39:52and methodical.
39:53Teams often sit deeper,
39:55build, play slower and
39:57prioritise positional
39:58structure over end-to-end
40:00chaos.
40:02Serie A has a strong
40:03focus on defensive
40:04organisation, shape and
40:05tactical nuance.
40:06Managers are often
40:08praised for their
40:08chess-like approach to
40:10games.
40:10Exactly what I just
40:11said.
40:12The Premier League
40:12emphasises athleticism
40:14and quick attacking
40:15phases.
40:16Tactical systems are
40:17important but speed
40:18intensity can override
40:20a deep structure at
40:22times.
40:23And then it just goes
40:23on and on about
40:24transitions, age
40:25profiles, etc.
40:27etc.
40:27Right.
40:29Yes, it is
40:30ChatGBT.
40:31What are you going to
40:32do about it?
40:33I love ChatGBT and I
40:35will not have any
40:36slander on ChatGBT in
40:38the chat.
40:39So, anyway, just to
40:42come back to that
40:43point, I always get
40:43criticised for saying
40:44that Serie A is a
40:45slower league.
40:46Do people not
40:48understand?
40:49Slower is not a
40:52synonym for worse.
40:55It's not a synonym for
40:56lower quality.
40:58It doesn't mean that.
41:00Slower doesn't mean
41:00it's a worse league.
41:02It's a different league.
41:03It's still a quality
41:04league.
41:05I'm not saying it's a
41:07worse league.
41:07I just think it's a
41:08slower pace.
41:09But, you know, the
41:10tactical discipline
41:11behind it and the
41:13other elements to it
41:14make it a quality
41:15league.
41:15Of course it does.
41:16So, anyway, I'm not
41:17going on a massive
41:18tangent in that.
41:18But, yeah.
41:21That's why certain
41:22players play better in
41:25different leagues.
41:26La Liga is a slower
41:27paced league to the
41:28Premier League.
41:29But, tactically, it's
41:32fantastic.
41:34And there's different
41:34styles over there.
41:35It's why Anthony has
41:36thrived over there.
41:37Because it's a slower
41:38paced league.
41:40Like, there's a reason
41:41why Hoyland does better
41:42in the Champions League
41:43and the Europa League
41:43than he does in the
41:44Premier League.
41:45Some players are
41:46suited to different
41:47aspects.
41:49And, anyway, I'm
41:50not a...
41:50Intensity.
41:52Intensity is the word
41:53Salim has said in the
41:55chat.
41:55Thank you very much.
41:58We've got Glen C
41:59says, I would have
42:00thought it would be the
42:01sale of Garnaccio that
42:02funds the striker.
42:04Well, this is the thing.
42:05United, like I said, to
42:06get Jokeres in, will need
42:08to shift players and make
42:10money.
42:10A lot of people are
42:11worried about how we're
42:12going to do that.
42:13Garnaccio, you've just
42:14brought up there.
42:14Glen C is a big one.
42:16Matt as well.
42:17Garnaccio pays for
42:18Jokeres easily.
42:19Garnaccio is going to be
42:22sold and that money is
42:24going to be crucial for
42:25us in FFP.
42:26We're going to be able to
42:27sell him pretty easily.
42:28His wages are low.
42:29There's a lot of interest
42:30in him.
42:31He is a young player that
42:32has had some moments that
42:34have been fantastic for
42:35United and there's
42:36potential there.
42:37He will be getting sold
42:38and I think we'll get a
42:39decent fee for him.
42:40I think for Garnaccio we'll
42:41probably get around 50
42:43million.
42:43Don't think we'll get any
42:44more than that but I
42:45think around 50 million
42:46which is solid.
42:49Other players we can get
42:52rid of.
42:52Anthony is another one.
42:54And with Anthony you
42:55might not be thinking you
42:56can get a massive transfer
42:57fee.
42:58You could probably get
42:58around 35 million for
42:59Anthony after what he's
43:00done at Bettis but the
43:01key thing about Anthony
43:02is wages going off the
43:04books.
43:05He's on over 200 grand a
43:06week or just he's on
43:07around 200 grand a week
43:08Anthony.
43:09It's madness.
43:11So wage off the books
43:12there with Anthony.
43:13Sancho is another one.
43:14And there's been links
43:15to Sancho and Saudi.
43:17Apparently Saudi are
43:18interested in bringing
43:19Jadon Sancho.
43:20I didn't think this was
43:22going to happen because
43:22of Sancho's age but if
43:25the rumours are true that
43:27they couldn't agree a
43:29payment structure with
43:30Chelsea for his wages
43:31because he wanted a
43:32higher wage then I can
43:35see him maybe taking a
43:36Saudi move because no
43:38one else is going to pay
43:38him that money.
43:39No other club is going
43:40to pay him 300 grand a
43:41week apart from Saudi.
43:43Unless he can somehow
43:45back United into a
43:46corner to cover his
43:46wages in a sale to a
43:48different club in Europe.
43:49I'm not sure.
43:50But Sancho is another
43:53one.
43:53If we can get 350 grand a
43:55week off the wage bill
43:57absolutely fantastic.
43:59Obviously some of these
44:00wages have had a bit of a
44:01cut because we're not in
44:01the Champions League but
44:02him off the wage bill and
44:05getting some sort of feeing
44:06for him that'll be great
44:07for Manchester United.
44:08He's actually been at
44:08Manchester United for
44:09quite a number of years
44:10now so on the books it'll
44:11look relatively good and
44:12here's another one where
44:13the wage is massive.
44:15Absolutely massive.
44:17Rashford.
44:19Pure profit and getting
44:21his wage off the books.
44:22Another high earner.
44:24300 plus grand a week
44:25Rashford's on.
44:26If we can get him off the
44:27books that makes us money
44:28and that would be great
44:30for us.
44:31Also Casemiro.
44:33There's rumours that
44:34Manchester United might
44:35push for a Casemiro sale.
44:36If we did we'd have to
44:37buy a midfielder.
44:38I can see Casemiro staying.
44:40I don't see how he turns
44:42his back on the last year
44:44of his contract on 300
44:45grand a week.
44:46I just don't see it
44:47happening.
44:48And I don't see a club
44:49coming in and paying a
44:50fee for him and it being
44:52worthwhile enough for
44:53Manchester United to move
44:54Casemiro on and also
44:56invest into another
44:57midfielder because we'd
44:58have to buy another
44:59midfielder.
45:00I think Casemiro will
45:01stay United for the next
45:02year and like I said I
45:03think next year is our
45:04year where we go in for
45:05a Belieber.
45:06Next year is where we do
45:07our Caicedo and Dequan
45:09Rice business.
45:10Casemiro stays for another
45:11year on his contract.
45:12He leaves next summer.
45:13Happy days.
45:14Thank you very much for
45:15your service.
45:16Unk have you got another
45:17year left in you?
45:18One game a week in the
45:19Premier League.
45:20I think he can get up for
45:21it and I think we keep
45:22Casemiro.
45:22But if he did go that's
45:23again another high wage
45:25off the box.
45:26You've also got other
45:27little bits and bobs coming
45:28in from places.
45:29The Jadon Sancho penalty
45:30fee.
45:31Five million there.
45:32The Alvaro Fernandez
45:33probably going to make some
45:34money off him.
45:35What's going to happen
45:36with Molassia?
45:36Everyone's forgot about
45:37Molassia but could we get
45:39some money back for him?
45:40We didn't pay much for him
45:41in the first place when we
45:42originally bought him from
45:44where did we originally
45:45buy him from?
45:45Feyenoord.
45:46So there is little bits and
45:47bobs you can do as well
45:48and Victor Lindelof and
45:50Ericsson's wages have already
45:52been freed up too.
45:52So United can make some money
45:54this summer but all of that
45:56has to be done before we can
45:57go for a Jokeres.
45:59But like everyone's saying
46:00in the chat if you get a
46:00decent amount of money in
46:02for Garnaccio we can get in
46:04for Jokeres but it's just
46:05when we sell Garnaccio how
46:07quickly we sell Garnaccio.
46:08He's currently on holiday
46:09you know and you've got to
46:12try and gather interest from
46:14clubs.
46:15You've got to start
46:16negotiations.
46:17I think Garnaccio is going to
46:18be a July one.
46:19I don't see Garnaccio going in
46:22June I think Garnaccio might
46:23be one that we complete in
46:24July and after we've sold
46:26sorry after we've signed
46:28Mbumo if we sign Mbumo it's
46:30still not happened but I
46:31think we will.
46:31United are pretty confident
46:32on it.
46:33After we've signed Mbumo we
46:35cannot move for anybody else
46:36until we guarantee we can
46:38sell Garnaccio.
46:39So I think then you're
46:41relying on Jokeres waiting
46:42well into July which is
46:44risky but it could work out
46:47if Arsenal go for Sesco
46:49because you can start the
46:50talks with Jokeres you can
46:51say look we're going to
46:52we want you.
46:54These are the personal
46:55terms we've just got to
46:56sell some players first and
46:58then we can sign you.
47:00Janice Prime because again
47:01it's not about negotiating
47:03with Sporting because there
47:06is a gentleman's agreement
47:07it's similar to Konya.
47:08You go in you pay the
47:09release course for Konya
47:1062.5 million there's a
47:12gentleman's agreement with
47:13Sporting about 60 million
47:14euros you go in there you pay
47:16it and it's just about
47:18personal terms with
47:19Jokeres then.
47:20Janice Prime 16 says if we
47:21get all the ins and outs
47:22reset begins.
47:24Also Mateta is one to
47:25absolutely watch even if we
47:27went for Mateta I think
47:28Palace will demand 40
47:29million for him I know he's
47:30only got a year left on his
47:31deal but I think with you
47:33with Europa League football
47:34they'll demand 40 million
47:35still a pretty hefty fee that
47:37we'll have to wait for
47:38outgoings for.
47:39And the thing is for me is
47:40if you're going to go for
47:41Mateta for 40 mil right
47:43you might as well just go for
47:46Jokeres because you're
47:47going to have to sell
47:48Ganacho to do either of
47:49them anyway.
47:50Ganacho covers Jokeres and
47:51would cover Mateta.
47:53I'd be happy with Mateta
47:54but Jokeres is the
47:56manager's pick.
47:57It's a little bit extra
47:58but you might as well do it
48:00in my opinion.
48:02You might as well just go
48:03and pay the extra money.
48:05Pengers92 says Beth has
48:06anyone done a welfare check
48:07on Ricky since Bruno
48:08decided to stay?
48:09Mark says he hasn't
48:10responded to anyone in the
48:12group chat.
48:12I have spoke to Ricky.
48:14I've spoke to Ricky.
48:15He's alright.
48:16He's gutted but he's
48:16alright.
48:17He was really gutted.
48:19He was really gutted but
48:21he's okay.
48:22Tom Terry says hi Beth
48:23number seven deserves a
48:24fresh start next season.
48:26Is Mason Mount been
48:27banned in the chat or
48:28something?
48:29Yeah Mason Mount next
48:31season.
48:32I think if he can stay
48:32fit you'll see a
48:33completely different
48:34Mason Mount.
48:34He was really starting to
48:35get into it at the end of
48:37last season.
48:38People forget when you
48:39have suffered with injuries
48:41that have kept you out of
48:42football for two and a
48:44half years.
48:45You're going to need to get
48:46up to match speed and
48:47match rhythm.
48:48He looked really good in
48:49the Aston Villa game.
48:50Wasn't good in the final.
48:51I was really let down by
48:52in the final.
48:53Previous game before that
48:54he looked good.
48:56If he can get some minutes
48:57under his belt and stay
48:58consistently fit and have
48:59a proper pre-season there's
49:01a real opportunity for
49:02Mason Mount next year.
49:03Where he gets in I'm not
49:05sure with Mbumo and
49:06Cunha as well but it's all
49:08about having squad depth
49:10and having quality players.
49:11You want to be able to
49:12bring players off the
49:13bench that are going to
49:14make your team better or
49:15at least maintain the
49:16standard rather than
49:18thinking oh god we've got
49:19nothing on the bench to
49:19use so drop off.
49:21You want to have like I
49:23would rather United have
49:24too many quality attacking
49:25players than not enough
49:26because we have had not
49:28enough for a long time.
49:30You have struggled.
49:31It was basically Ahmad and
49:33Bruno and that was it
49:35really.
49:36Gannaccio would have his
49:37moments but it was usually
49:38against you know the likes
49:40of the Leicesters and stuff
49:41like that or if it was in
49:42a final and you know we
49:44didn't even play the
49:44Europa League final but
49:45anyway let's dive into
49:46that.
49:47Glenn C says I would have
49:48thought it would be the
49:49sale of Gannaccio done that
49:50one.
49:50Jake Fazza says look at
49:52Zerksy's injury record
49:54hamstring guys 23.
49:57It's something to be
49:58concerned about but I don't
50:00think it's something to
50:01worry about yet with
50:02Zerksy and his hamstrings.
50:04Hamstrings can be a
50:05nightmare if they keep
50:05going.
50:06It's something to be
50:07concerned about we need to
50:08look after him but I
50:09wouldn't be saying it's a
50:10reason we need to sell him.
50:12Vatsal Chopra says
50:13Jokras can be our
50:14Haaland we definitely
50:15need him.
50:16Jason Hanna says
50:17Beth we definitely need a
50:18midfielder.
50:19Ugarte and Bruno in
50:20midfield hurts my eyes.
50:23Honestly I was speaking
50:25to my brother about this
50:26yesterday.
50:28As much as I've said
50:29midfield can wait till
50:31next year I don't
50:33think we can do a
50:36Ugarte-Bruno pivot next
50:37year like it just can't
50:38happen.
50:40That's where Kasemira
50:41comes into play.
50:42Thank you everyone for
50:43your super chats coming
50:44in really do appreciate
50:46them.
50:47Hit smash a like on the
50:48video if you're not
50:48already.
50:49Last little bit to
50:50finish off the show and
50:51this is on Marcus
50:51Rashford and it came in
50:53that Marcus Rashford wants
50:55to play for Barcelona and
50:57he's willing to take a pay
50:58cut and wait until the end
51:00of the transfer window to
51:01get a deal done and that
51:02has come from Lewis F.
51:03Rojo and I can
51:04understand why Rashford
51:08would do this.
51:09He's you know Rashford's
51:11not there thinking I need
51:12to leave Manchester United
51:13so quick so they can get
51:14the money from me for FFP
51:16and they can rebuild their
51:18squad this summer for a
51:19team that I'm not even
51:20going to be part of next
51:21year.
51:22That's not what Rashford is
51:24thinking.
51:26Rashford is thinking I want
51:28to go Barcelona I will do
51:30anything I can to make
51:31that happen because it's
51:32the best move that I
51:33possibly can.
51:34I want to be with Hansi
51:38Flick who is doing
51:39fantastic work in Barcelona
51:40I want to be playing with
51:41the likes of Yamal,
51:44Rafinha I want to be part
51:46of that team and Barca if
51:48they can't afford to go out
51:49and get me straight away I
51:50will wait and I will wait
51:50and I will wait.
51:51That's the worry with the
51:53Rashford deal though for
51:53Manchester United.
51:54the worry is we need that
51:59money for FFP and PSR it's
52:01pure profit we might have to
52:03wait until right at the end
52:04of the window to get any
52:06sort of money for it.
52:06United are going to have to
52:07play hardball they're going
52:08to have to really start to
52:10negotiate on this deal and
52:11do the best they possibly can
52:13with it.
52:14We've said incomings at
52:16Manchester United it's
52:17looking pretty promising.
52:18Outgoings is where we're
52:20really going to judge
52:21Ineos and this
52:22recruitment team this
52:23summer because Rashford is
52:24going to be a difficult
52:24one.
52:25There was rumours that
52:26Luis Diaz is Barcelona's
52:29priority.
52:29I would struggle to believe
52:32they are going to get
52:34Rashford as well as Diaz.
52:35They play the same position
52:37left wing.
52:38If they've chosen Diaz I
52:40struggle to see where they
52:41go for Rashford especially
52:43considering the finances at
52:45Barcelona have been a little
52:47bit tricky for a while now.
52:48They've got far in the
52:49Champions League that will
52:50help them.
52:52Unless they're thinking of
52:53playing Rashford up front
52:55maybe because he has done
52:58that for Villa but I just
52:59don't see it.
53:00I think it's going to be a
53:02long long long old saga
53:04with Rashford this summer
53:05and that could be a little
53:07bit detrimental to our
53:08incomings because we will
53:10rely on that Rashford
53:10money.
53:12Ineos proved me wrong.
53:14Prove me wrong and get
53:15something going but like I
53:17said a lot of people will
53:17say I wish Rashford would
53:18just go.
53:20Rashford's going to look
53:20out for himself and do the
53:22best for his future and
53:23rightly so.
53:24I would want to go back to
53:25Barcelona if I was him as
53:27well.
53:27So it's whether Ineos can
53:29negotiate with Barcelona or
53:31we can negotiate some sort of
53:32deal earlier rather than
53:34later but I think Barcelona
53:35might leave it to the last
53:37moments of the transfer
53:40window because they know
53:41United will get more and
53:42more desperate.
53:43Lastly, I did say I'd speak
53:46about this so I'll speak about
53:47it very very quickly.
53:48Mbumo wage demands.
53:49It's been reported from the
53:51Times that Mbumo is
53:52demanding £250,000 a week
53:54to play United.
53:55All I will say on this is that
53:57it was first reported by
53:58Martin Hardy.
53:59I don't know much about
54:02Martin Hardy.
54:03What I do know through a
54:05little bit of research is
54:06that he mainly reports on
54:09Newcastle.
54:10He's the Northern Sports
54:11correspondent for the Times
54:12and the Sunday Times.
54:14He mainly reports on
54:16Newcastle.
54:17I would not be surprised one
54:18bit if Newcastle have leaked
54:21this out there because they
54:23are trying to save face and
54:25trying to save embarrassment
54:26of losing out to Cunha
54:29and now Mbumo to United
54:30because they thought they'd
54:32be able to get Cunha and
54:34Mbumo because they've got
54:36Champions League football.
54:38But United have beat them
54:39to both because it's
54:40Manchester United.
54:43So I wouldn't be surprised
54:44if that's been leaked out
54:45and is a fake story.
54:46I think it might be a fake
54:47story to be honest with you.
54:48I just don't see how Mbumo
54:49is demanding £250,000 a week.
54:51I think I want about £180,000.
54:53Yeah, and I think he deserves
54:54that.
54:55£180,000 to £200,000.
54:56Same as Cunha.
54:57£250,000, I don't think
54:59will be happening.
55:01I think he was looking in the
55:02region to £150, £180,000
55:03the last report I heard about
55:05what Manchester United was
55:06going to offer Mbumo.
55:07But I think Newcastle will be
55:09so gutted, fuming and a little
55:13bit embarrassed that they've
55:14missed out on both of these
55:15deals to 15th place
55:16Manchester United after what
55:18they went through to get
55:19Champions League football
55:20that you're bound to be
55:23frustrated with it.
55:23And I think they might have
55:24just slipped that out there
55:25to the Northern Sports
55:27correspondent because they
55:29want to make this deal look
55:30worse for United.
55:32But also, they want to make
55:34it look, they want to come up
55:36with a reason why they've
55:38missed out on it.
55:39To their fans, to football
55:41fans, other than it's just
55:43simply the fact Mbumo's
55:44chosen United.
55:45They want to make it look like
55:46they've lost out on this
55:47because they're not paying
55:48£250,000 a week.
55:50Wherein, I think, Mbumo's
55:52looked at all the projects
55:53and thought, if I can be one
55:55of the players that bring
55:55Man Utd back, then that's the
55:58project I want to be a part
55:59of.
56:00As a United fan, I'm obviously
56:01going to think that, red
56:02tinted glasses, but that's
56:03where I'm at.
56:04Anyway guys, smash a like on
56:06the video.
56:06Thank you so much for all of
56:08your super chats this morning.
56:10Mark's still living it up in
56:11New York City.
56:12I'm so jealous.
56:13I absolutely love New York.
56:15But I'm sure he'll pop on this
56:17afternoon with a show.
56:18At some point, you know
56:20what he's like.
56:21He can't stay away from you
56:22for too long.
56:23Class of 99 says, we should
56:24look to offload Mount ASAP.
56:26And Janus Prime says, if we
56:28get all the ins and outs,
56:28the reset begins.
56:29I've done that one.
56:30Thank you very much.
56:31All about opinion.
56:32All about opinion.
56:33One sec.
56:3610Z says, Sky Sports now.
56:38United make initial contact
56:40for Mbumo.
56:41I've not seen anything come
56:43out on that.
56:44That's already come out.
56:46That's already come out
56:47ages ago.
56:47Don't try and get me.
56:48Lastly with the Superchat,
56:49iPogba6.
56:50How will we not all over
56:52Teo Hernandez?
56:53I'll never understand the
56:54same price we paid for
56:55Dogoo.
56:56iPogba, we said that
56:58yesterday.
57:00How we've not even looked
57:01at Teo Hernandez is beyond
57:02me.
57:02But anyway, have a lovely
57:04– is it Wednesday or
57:05Tuesday today?
57:06Have a lovely Wednesday,
57:09everybody.
57:10Enjoy your day.
57:11You will be back.
57:12Any breaking news,
57:13fingers crossed for some
57:14updates on Mbumo soon.
57:15We'll bring it to you.
57:16Thank you for watching
57:17and I will see you on the
57:19next one.
