How to get the best deals on your summer vacation

Summer travel deals are still out there if you know where to look.

00:00Good news, it's not too late to book a summer vacation.

00:03In fact, I'm seeing some of the most extraordinary deals I've seen in five years right now.

00:08Round trip, under $500 fares on the major airlines, not just discounters,

00:12under $500 from the United States to Europe in the height of summer.

00:16We have not seen deals like this in a long time.

00:19They're still out there.

00:20There's also a ton of points and miles deals.

00:22So using Alaska Airlines miles to fly American Airlines in business class for 55,000 miles.

00:28We're seeing deals like that regularly right now.

00:31So it's not too late to book a great summer travel trip.

00:34And I think it's going to be the summer of savings.

00:36I would say my top tips for finding savings for summer trips is Google Flights and Google Flights Explorer,

00:42two of my favorite tools that I tell people about all the time.

00:45People ask me if I get paid by Google, but I don't.

00:48It's just such a great tool.

00:49So don't sleep on Google Flights.

00:51I love vacation packages.

00:53So airline will bundle hotels and flights and you'll save up to 40% sometimes.

00:59They also offer bonus miles or discounts on top of that.

01:02So don't sleep on that.

01:03Sign up for deal alerts from websites like The Points Guy, Going, Thrifty Traveler.

01:08There's a lot of deal sites out there.

01:10But there's also a lot of new Instagram accounts that are sending out information on deals.

01:15So do your research on that front too, because sometimes you'll find a deal on Instagram, for example.
