Derry pensioner Kitty Lockhart embarrassed after being refused permission to board bus with pet dog Rex
Transcript
00:00I decided to take the dog before the town for the wee bander, which I done.
00:04I got a taxi over, said the cabs would usually get there a good company, and allowed a bus pass,
00:12and allowed him to get a taxi from the Tully Alley bus, which leads me near Han Island, Pagatham.
00:17And as the bus called down at 5 minutes to 3 o'clock, I said, he's in the lead, don't care,
00:24he's not getting under the bus, and that's the end of it.
00:27I said, well, my little husband used to drive the bus, and I didn't see this.
00:31I can't understand, there were no signs in it to say about lifting like dogs.
00:36And I said, could you tell me what other bus I'm in my 70s, when do I expect he gets home?
00:41And he said, there's a bus, Elson Drive, you don't get past two, you don't get tipped.
00:46And when he had approached, the busman never says, go to me, I'll get into the bus and get home.
00:51And I allowed, now it may, I'm only 70 years of age, to be pulled away in a wee door with motion rider.
00:56And I run with your company, the jury journey, and we were totally hit here.
01:01And I was very annoyed about it the rest of the week.
01:04Very, very annoyed about it.
01:05Were you a wee bit embarrassed at the time?
01:07Yes, and showing up, and everybody was looking on, and other ones were asking me what happened when I sat down,
01:14and I told them that they were completely shocked.
01:17What would you want, just a clear policy about it?
01:20Yes, yes.
01:21A sniffer that was a big wicket dog or something, I would see through it.
01:25Alright.
01:26And that would have, you said that would have sat in your lap like you know.
01:29Yeah.
01:30Because she's very clingy on the garden, I'm pretty.
