Watch Steve, 76, from the West Midlands picking out some of his favourite milk bottles from his 26,000 strong collection.

00:00Hi everybody I'm Steve Wheeler I'm a milk bottle collector and today at this date I have 23,000
00:15British milk bottles and around about 3,000 from the rest of the world hoping to get one from the
00:21moon but I don't know if I can afford the trip. I have in front of me here my favorite milk bottle
00:28it's a picture of Zoe Newton who was on all the hoardings in the 1950s when they were pushing
00:32a drink a pint of milk a day. It's printed in half-tone which is newspaper print which is unusual
00:40she was just a starlet but became obviously famous because of the drink a pint of milk a day.
00:46This is the first production milk bottle when I say that it's the first one that went on doorsteps
00:51for return Express Dairy of London in about 1882 and it's got a porcelain stopper
01:00Express Dairy by appointment to Her Majesty obviously Victoria in those days and if you
01:05look at the shelves just here you'll see all the Express Dairy bottles that they've done over the
01:12years in some incredible colours and if you move just this way um the Royal Dairy Farm at Windsor
01:21well these are the Queen's bottles the Royal Dairy Farm in the quart the pint the half pint
01:28you've got kosher milk and milk bottles and here's one from a dairy live trout corn prepared while you wait
01:38we're in the Scottish section now on one corner some bottles I picked up from Ayrshire um a couple
01:46years ago from a late friend some super bottles I've already been looking for and uh at this point
01:52I'd just like to ask people please don't throw old milk bottles away um get in touch with me please um

02:06milk bottles yourself it's all free
