00:00If I look at someone at the same age, in terms of money is earning more than me,
00:04that somewhere makes me low confident or question myself.
00:08If you're not thirsty and you find someone gulping down an entire jug of water,
00:14does that encourage you to have a glass for yourself?
00:17No.
00:18The other fellow is earning more money.
00:21Don't you want to ask yourself, how much importance does money hold for you?
00:25The fellow was getting X and you got 1.2X.
00:28You won the comparison.
00:29Now what?
00:30What will you do with all that cash or whatever or stocks?
00:33What will you do with it?
00:34Has that really given you contentment in the past?
00:37You have to ask yourself, what is it that my inner self is really thirsty for?
00:44Your thirst will not be quenched by looking at all kinds of foods the others are consuming.
00:52In fact, if you're thirsty and the other one is biting into cheesy pizza
00:57and you too pick up a piece for yourself, that would only aggravate your thirst.
01:02So comparisons can actually be very harmful, counterproductive.
