An economist has expressed support for the government's decision to enforce existing cooking gas cylinder regulations,
00:08
saying it is necessary to prevent the misuse of subsidized liquefied petroleum gas and ensure they reach their intended beneficiaries.
00:16
Sudwing University's Yaakim Leng said the move would allow Pujajaya to reduce the RM3.4 billion it spends annually on LPG subsidies,
00:26
with the savings reallocated to health, education, and other welfare development programs.
00:32
However, he said traders, especially small vendors and hawkers, should be given a grace period to help them adjust to the changes,
00:40
as this would be more desirable and less disruptive.
00:43
Yaak added that many traders may not even be aware of the regulations in question,
00:49
and suggested that the government set a grace period before fully enforcing the law,
00:54
as many small traders and hawkers rely on word of mouth for updates.
00:58
Last month, the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry launched OpsGasak in an effort to curb the misuse of subsidized LPG,
01:07
particularly by industrial users and large-scale businesses.
01:11
Meanwhile, businesses including restaurants and cafes are also required to use commercial-grade 14kg LPG cylinders,
01:19
costing RM70 each and not subsidized household cylinders price at RM26.

I will never know the other, but maybe you'll need to get from this as a moment.
01:35
I bought more money for a thief and more money for all,
01:36
I will get from that as my team just got some hidden,
01:38
